Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

These wild onions are enough for him to eat for seven or eight days under these temperature conditions.

With these seven or eight wild onions, chopping them into the soup, whether it’s fish stew or any other soup, will become extremely delicious.

Although he didn’t catch any large wild animals today, it was still a rewarding day.

This further strengthened Li Younan’s idea of going out for a walk.

Facing the camera, he couldn’t help but marvel once more: ”Honestly, this place is really rich in resources. Living here is truly a very leisurely affair.”

...

The contestants’ timeline far exceeds the broadcast timeline; before long, episode 2 of the show officially went online.

This episode continues the timeline of each contestant from episode 1, starting with the hints laid in the first episode.

When the audience saw Pacini successfully hunt a goat, he instantly gained countless fans — people watching this show have a kind of strong admiration complex; they’re always eager to imagine themselves as the strongest contestant.

At the moment, as the first person to hunt a large animal, Pacini is naturally the easiest one to become a star.

However, as Pacini’s storyline wraps up, it’s now time for Li Younan’s storyline to unfold.

Because in episode 1, although Younan’s storyline was composed of highlights, in the edited clips, his food consisted only of the fish he caught and continuously foraged berries and tuberous roots in the forest.

This comparison makes him appear less impactful—

Li Younan indeed owned the most luxurious shelter... but he hadn’t hunted any large animals!

The audience’s concern is reasonable; only a large animal can consistently provide long-term energy supply; otherwise, they can’t believe merely fishing at the lake and foraging forest roots could keep him alive.

However, when episode 2 showed Li Younan discovering a small ewe, everyone immediately got excited—this meant Li Younan became the second contestant to score a mid-to-large-sized prey like Pacini.

Although the sheep didn’t look as robust as the one Pacini caught.

Just when everyone thought Li Younan was about to finish off the sheep with an arrow, he performed a shocking move: he put down his bow, set up his camera, and climbed down the rock wall.

With the camera switching to a first-person perspective, people could finally see clearly—it was actually a small ewe!

What followed was Li Younan climbing out of the valley and bringing the sheep back to his shelter.

If most viewers were still puzzled up to this point, when Li Younan returned to the shelter, milking the ewe and using fresh milk to make butter, everyone watching erupted in excitement.

What? You can play like this? Other contestants starve at least three out of nine meals; even someone as strong as Pacini eats sparingly every day, yet here he is, drinking fresh milk and even making butter?

Most foreign viewers couldn’t differentiate between butter and ghee.

At this moment, even those foreign viewers who had been stubborn had to acknowledge Li Younan.

Now, viewers supporting Li Younan and Pacini began aligning based on nationality.

Even if they felt in their hearts Pacini looked champion-like, they had to admit Li Younan had a better chance of being the champion.

This season, international contestants made up half.

Viewers from the United States naturally hoped their national contestant would win the final championship, and many European country’s audiences without their national contestants shared the same thought.

From their sense of belonging, they sincerely wished a white person of their race to achieve final victory.

Of course, there were also many viewers who were impressed with Li Younan’s strong survival skills and genuinely became his fans, with their admiration even crossing borders.

...

The video simultaneously went online in China, after watching episode 2, the internet users left comments under the video cheering for him.

Naturally, various humorous comments weren’t absent.

”The show ’Alone in the Wilderness’ is being messed up, now there’s a rammed-earth wall levee-style shelter, and now there’s a lively little ewe. The key is this thing can even produce milk. Good grief, who am I going to reason with!”

”I suspect that after a while, Li Younan might really become invincible! I’m betting on him to become this season’s champion!”

”As everyone knows, this is a ewe... I recommend everyone search for a ewes’ backside.”

”I might have been single for so long that even a ewe looks charming to me.”

”The person upstairs, please calm down.”

If the first two episodes were just surprising the audience while bringing delight to those who followed the show, then when episode 3 aired, something wonderful suddenly changed.

Because in the following episode 3 content, Li Younan demonstrated the ceramic making process in the video to everyone.

Although he also made pottery, both foreign and domestic viewers were more focused on the ceramics.

And the appearance of ceramics in the show completely shifted its influence...

This was something even the program team hadn’t anticipated.

Curiosity is always the greatest driver for humans to undertake an action.

Even though in the Western world, how ceramics are produced is no longer a mystery, nonetheless, ceramics still best represent that mysterious Oriental country.
