Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

The rain at Shengzhong Lake had been falling for two or three days straight, which was terribly unfortunate news for Liu Yu and Li Younan.

This meant they had to stay there for another two or three days.

The delay in the competition didn’t have a definite schedule.

After learning about Li Younan and her brother’s current situation, the girl smiled smugly with a hint of schadenfreude and encouraged her brother over the phone to maintain a good relationship with Li Younan. She also hit him where it hurt, saying, ”Aren’t you really into fishing? Learn well from Li Younan. Oh, and you didn’t make it to the finals, teehee. You should help him shoot some videos. If Li Younan becomes really popular in the future, maybe he could give your advertising company a little help.”

After finishing the call with her brother, the girl leisurely wandered over to the window.

It has cleared up today, and finally, Li Younan and her brother could officially participate in the final.

Today’s match was quite important for Li Younan.

Initially, he joined the competition just for fun, but unexpectedly, he accidentally got the first place on the leaderboard on the first day, leading Zhao Tianyu, who is quite renowned in the fishing community, by over 100 points.

Moreover, after the first day’s match he released a video, and the continuous rain in the following days delayed the competition, allowing the video to ferment for a while. Many fans discovered that Li Younan was participating in the competition, prompting many to drive to the scene to watch.

It’s known that a large portion of Li Younan’s fan base also follows the fishing community.

Of course, she hopes Li Younan can achieve excellent results again, just like last time, but for now, she can only wait patiently.

Feeling a bit bored, she opened the live stream, but the fishing contest hadn’t officially started yet. The competition is set to be streamed live throughout, and at the moment, preparations are underway, creating some chaos on-site.

So she set her phone down again.

Today is a sunny day.

The weather, not yet May, is just right, neither too cold nor too hot.

When she pushed the window open, the wind lightly breezed in, brushing against her arms with the faint scent of grass from the lawn downstairs that had just been warmed by the sun, barely detectable without close attention.

The girl placed her hand on the windowsill, where the warm sunlight spread across the base of her palm, loosely resting without having to hold onto it.

The breeze made the petals of the roses downstairs sway slightly—the roses had bloomed, and their pink petals fell on the lawn, uncollected, just lying there.

Liu Li felt a sense of ease and unconsciously thought of the video she saw of Li Younan yesterday, his profile... just like a comment said, perhaps those fish were all drawn to his looks, hehe.

Her heart felt like cotton soaked through with sunlight, soft and fluffy.

Just then, a grandmother carrying a two- to three-year-old child appeared in sight.

Their family lived on the second floor of the community, and from this spot, they could clearly see the child.

The grandmother placed the child on the bamboo chair directly under the window. The child, gender unclear, wore an adorable panda hat.

The next moment, Liu Li couldn’t help but laugh because the little friend was holding a steamed bun bigger than their face and took a bite whenever hungry.

The small body obediently cradled the bun.

So well-behaved.

She quite liked children.

That baby wasn’t at all troublesome, just quietly sitting in the chair, taking a bite of the big bun from time to time.

The grandmother also sat in the bamboo chair, holding a bit of knitting needle, with the yarn ball resting on her lap, not knitting, just squinting in the sun. The blue fabric on her knees was lifted by the wind slightly before settling back down gently, and she never moved, just occasionally glancing at the little one beside her.

Watching this, Liu Li couldn’t help but smile softly again.

As she was smiling, a shadow suddenly dashed into her peripheral vision—it was a dog, not very large, looking somewhat like a Shiba Inu.

The girl gently furrowed her brow, looking around, unable to spot the dog’s owner.

Honestly, she didn’t like this kind of dog.

After all, it’s hard to breed good ones from this dog’s origin.

This type of dog has a quirky temperament, commonly low intelligence, and stubbornness.

It seems docile but can unexpectedly bite you.

It’s rare for ordinary people to see a leashless Shiba Inu because it would likely run off, leaving its owner. You’ll often see Shiba Inus attempting to break free from their leash, letting out piercing cries, trying to pounce and bite other dogs.

Just as she was thinking this, Liu Li saw that the dog, with its head bobbing, came to the side of the grandmother and the little child. The grandmother, now wary, stared at the dog fiercely, shielding the child behind her.

Then, the next moment, the dog’s face seemed to show a somewhat ingratiating smile, suddenly baring its sharp teeth.

Liu Li’s heart seized up, her throat feeling like it was stuffed with cotton, her shout disjointed: ”Hey! Be careful!”

Downstairs, the grandmother panicked too, her knitting needle clattering to the ground with the yarn rolling far away.

She didn’t bother picking them up, immediately reaching out to protect the child, her arm firmly blocking in front of the child.

The scared child dropped the bun, their little mouth quivered, not daring to cry out, shrinking into the grandmother’s arms, the panda hat tilting to one side.

Liu Li gripped the windowsill firmly, her knuckles turning numb.

She wanted to find something to throw down to scare the dog off, but she was so panicked her vision blurred. Scanning the table, only a water cup was there, fearing it might hit the grandmother or child, her hand froze mid-air.
