Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

”Second point, although you claim that your dog was just playing around with that old lady, you know very well whether that’s true or not. The video shows it clearly, so let the public security authorities decide.”

The woman and her family continued to shout, but their momentum had already diminished.

They were mean, but not stupid. At this point, they clung to the fact that their dog had been beaten, saying, ”Then you hit my dog and injured it, how does that count?”

Li Younan shook his head and coldly said, ”The law is very clear; if you harm a dog in order to protect yourself or others, even if you kill it, it’s considered self-defense, and you bear no legal responsibility.”

”If you feel there’s a dispute, we can argue it out in court.”

”However, if you go back upstairs and cause trouble at the ward door again, I will call the police.”

The woman realized at this point that Li Younan was a very tough nut to crack, and, clenching her teeth in anger, said, ”Fine, fine, you have skills! We’re leaving!”

However, a trace of irony flashed in Li Younan’s eyes as he said, ”You might have misunderstood...”

The woman frowned and turned back, ”What did you say?”

Li Younan earnestly said, ”I’m not trying to scare you. What I said about needing you to compensate us ten thousand yuan is true.”

”I will entrust a lawyer to handle all the evidence. Regarding the administrative penalty for your dog not being leashed, that is certainly going to happen.”

”Next, I will invite that old lady as a witness, and without needing her to do anything, strive to secure compensation for emotional distress for her, which I’m sure she’ll be very willing to do.”

After all, that old lady surely detests the dog as well, and would be glad to see the dog owner suffer. What’s more, she wouldn’t have to lift a finger, and would still have the opportunity to receive compensation for emotional distress.

”The video can also serve as supporting evidence, and there were other people who witnessed the incident at the scene. Of course, getting that ten thousand yuan compensation may not be a certainty, but you’ll definitely have to pay.”

Li Younan looked into the opponent’s eyes and slowly said, ”Hiring a lawyer is an expensive affair, and the cost might exceed the amount you’re required to compensate, but that’s okay; I have no shortage of time and energy.”

”You’ll receive a court summons soon, so prepare to defend yourselves. Additionally, considering your current attitude, I won’t accept mediation. As I said, time is something I have plenty of.”

This time, the woman was completely dumbfounded.

Those who keep dogs are naturally aware of the rule that you’re penalized for not leashing your dog. However, this rule isn’t very old, so she took a chance and caused trouble.

The other side understood it and wouldn’t let go of it, so punishment was unavoidable... In fact, she had been penalized once before for this.

Her two family members also began to understand the situation more clearly. One of them, in a much milder tone, said, ”Forget it, I don’t see anyone getting hurt, there’s no need for both sides to suffer.”

Li Younan ignored them and just continued, ”Go back and prepare to accept the summons, and get a good lawyer.”

They now fully realized they had run into a tough character.

People who like to resolve issues with noise fear nothing more than coming across a stubborn person who sticks to a dead-end, refusing to compromise. If such a person isn’t afraid of loss and has plenty of time, they’re even harder to deal with.

Just like Li Younan said, he’s not short of time and energy, but this family isn’t. They’d waste time and energy defending themselves, and they’d still have to face penalties. Even if the result isn’t a ten-thousand-yuan payout, it’ll be tormenting and not worth it.

”Young man, young man, we were wrong in this matter. Let’s just forget it, no need to suffer on both sides.”

At this point, the woman suddenly changed her tune, and a smile unexpectedly appeared on her face.

Li Younan was momentarily speechless, as he hadn’t expected such people to exist and shook his head, saying, ”It’s not that you realized your mistake; you just realized you’ll be punished.”

Having finished speaking, he strode away.
