Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 196: Chapter 108: First Trial of Archery

Initially, Ze Wangxiu wanted to show off his barbecue skills, but seeing Li Younan operate so deftly, he sensibly handed the task over to him and started chatting with Zhao Ruoxuan nearby.

Li Younan placed the kebabs on the charcoal grill, brushed on a layer of oil, and the melting fat dripped onto the charcoal, turning into smoke, while the rich aroma of barbecue wafted up.

He glanced over at Ze Wangxiu and Zhao Ruoxuan, chuckling silently for a moment.

It was clear that Ze Wangxiu was also an outgoing and interesting person, quite different from the Tibetan People Li Younan had imagined, more fashionable and knowledgeable, more civilized and cultured than he had expected.

Ultimately, the material foundation determines the superstructure, and in a place like Jiuzhaigou, both Han People and Tibetan People greatly value education.

According to Ze Wangxiu, if a child shows even a hint of talent in learning, parents here will do whatever it takes to send them to better schools in Mianyang or Chengdu for further education.

He himself was a Tibetan People who had studied in Chengdu since the sixth grade.

At the moment, Ze Wangxiu jokingly asked Zhao Ruoxuan, ”What do you want to do in the future?”

Zhao Ruoxuan answered without hesitation, ”I want to become a big influencer.”

Ze Wangxiu found it amusing, ”Becoming a big influencer isn’t that easy.”

Zhao Ruoxuan said, ”But it’s not as hard as people think, right? How can you know without trying?”

Ze Wangxiu nodded, ”You’re right, but have you decided which field you want to be an influencer in?”

Zhao Ruoxuan thought for a moment, then looked at Li Younan grilling, ”Originally, I wanted to be a beauty streamer, but now I’ve reconsidered, and being a travel influencer sounds better. If I had a car and could drive, I’d want to travel around like Brother Nan, then I’d have so many followers.”

Ze Wangxiu’s expression turned peculiar, he looked at Li Younan, then back at Zhao Ruoxuan, saying, ”You don’t think Li Younan became famous because of travel, do you?”

Zhao Ruoxuan asked, puzzled, ”Isn’t that so?”

Ze Wangxiu shook his head, ”Of course not, have you seen his videos?”

Zhao Ruoxuan hesitated for a moment, ”No.”

She only knew Li Younan was live streaming; she didn’t know he also made videos.

Ze Wangxiu explained earnestly, ”I’ve watched every one of his videos. Honestly, he didn’t become famous by sharing travel content. You’re right; people now really enjoy watching him go to various places and share his travel experiences, but that’s not why people initially followed him. Watch his videos seriously, and you’ll understand.”

After a pause, Ze Wangxiu chuckled, ”There are so many people traveling, and nobody cares about some random traveler, but they are interested in a parkour teen, backpacker, chef, bricklayer, sculptor, and a handsome guy’s travels...”

Zhao Ruoxuan frowned slightly, but clearly seemed somewhat unconvinced... what a confusing jumble of opinions.

Being an influencer isn’t that complicated; clearly, they were just in the right place at the right time.

How hard can it be to make a video?

How hard can it be to ramble on video for a while?

The aroma of Li Younan’s barbecue drew his mom and the others back.

The charcoal in the bonfire crackled softly, wisps of smoke lazily drifted toward the clear sky of Jiuzhaigou.

Li Younan sat on the thick meadow, the texture of the grass reaching through the thin mat.

The view was incredibly vast; the entire valley spread below like a huge, soft green carpet, stretching all the way to the distant, blurry mountain silhouettes.

The slope opposite was peaceful.

A few cows moved slowly like tiny black dots, occasionally spotting white sheep that looked like scattered pebbles.

A lone horse stood, occasionally lowering its head to nibble on grass.

Their presence wasn’t noisy; it was an entirely natural part of the hill, no different from the trees, the rocks — just looking at them made one’s heart feel particularly grounded.

The kebabs sizzled on the wire rack, oil dripping onto the charcoal fire, sending up a puff of fragrant smoke.

This smell, mixed with the scent of grass and earth, was not overwhelming, merely drifting faintly.

But Zhao Ruoxuan seemed a bit bored and leaned back in her folding chair, staring blankly at the sky.

The signal here wasn’t great; playing games wasn’t very smooth, and she knew well that taking out her phone now would surely result in another scolding from Mom.

Li Younan served everyone the grilled barbecue, and everyone enjoyed the view while eating.

Li Younan felt slightly regretful, lamenting there was no place to ride horses here.

Honestly, as someone who had spent a long time in Shanghai, although he mostly stayed in office cubicles, over the years, he had experienced all there was to experience, and the threshold for leisure and entertainment had somewhat increased.

So, having any expectations left; every man usually harbors something grandiose yet childish in their heart, like martial arts fantasy or mecha, and horse riding really hits a nerve for boys.

From riding alone with a sword across the world in martial arts stories to the gold and iron steeds in historical records, horses are always linked to heroes.

So when Li Younan asked Ze Wangxiu yesterday if there was a place to ride horses, Ze Wangxiu said there was but advised against it.

After all, Jiuzhaigou is different from grasslands like Ruoergai and Hongyuan; at most, there are grass lawns and fields. For tourist safety, you might be allowed to sit on a horse briefly, led by someone holding the reins, moving a few dozen meters to feel it, take some pictures, and that’s it — nothing of real significance.
