Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 170: Chapter 102: Setting Sail: Cruise Trip Through the Three Gorges!

It must be said, the business negotiations with JKLong were very professional, clearly defining the prices and obligations of both parties.

The night before, the cruise’s marketing department had staff contact Li Younan to discuss some cooperation details.

At this point, there wasn’t much left to negotiate.

The other party simply explained the requirements for shooting the video, which naturally were to show the best side.

The cruise’s marketing and the company are separate, so the experience should be quite authentic.

Once Li Younan boards the ship, the entire process won’t have any special privileges.

The marketing department arranged a 5000-yuan luxury bed cabin ticket for him, and all he needed to do was board the ship at the pier according to the process.

However, the video that gets shot will definitely need their review.

The exact requirements can also be handled by JKLong.

Before heading to the pier, JKLong specifically reminded Li Younan to capture some specific shots, which he noted down one by one.

After thinking for a moment, JKLong also said to Li Younan, ”After you board, you could livestream for a while.”

Li Younan thought JKLong wanted to increase popularity through livestreaming.

However, Li Younan actually doesn’t like livestreaming much during travel; just shooting some videos is enough for him. Keeping a livestream on throughout would ruin the immersive travel experience.

Although some streamers do keep livestreams going during travel, chatting with viewers can be quite pleasant, but Li Younan prefers interacting with real people.

Li Younan was a bit hesitant: ”Is livestreaming necessary?”

After a moment of silence, JKLong said, ”If not, then forget it.”

Li Younan didn’t mind and then headed from downtown to the pier.

The next day.

The radio played some light music, not too loud, just as a background.

After crossing the Yangtze River Bridge, the view suddenly opened up.

The car was driving steadily along Riverside Road, right next to the rushing Yangtze River.

The navigation occasionally reminded him that they were getting closer and closer to the Chaotianmen Pier.

There was a ”ding” sound on his phone, a message from the cruise company: ”Dear guest, the ’Distant Voyage’ cruise you’ll be on today is docked at Chongqing Chaotianmen Pier No. 11. Please board between 18:00-20:00 with your ID card.”

Li Younan glanced at it, feeling reassured.

The marketing team had indeed arranged his cruise ticket.

Entering Yu Zhong Peninsula, there were more high-rise buildings, and the road also narrowed.

While stopped at a red light, he watched the light rail pass by or looked at the terraced houses built on the hills in the distance, not in a hurry at all.

Turning into the familiar road to the pier, there were already many tour buses parked on both sides, along with people like Li Younan who drove themselves.

He found a spot not far from the entrance, parked his car, and turned off the engine.

Opening the car door, the September heat mixed with a stronger river breeze hit him, with a hint of the smell of water. Looking up, he could see the white ”Distant Voyage,” like a giant block, steadily docked beside the floating dock at Pier No. 11.

Besides it, there were other cruise ships, and a huge numeric sign stood at the pier, with the number ”11” very prominent under the sunlight.

Li Younan opened the trunk and took out simple luggage, a suitcase, and a backpack.

Just after closing the trunk, a worker wearing a ”Bang Bang” vest approached and asked with a smile, ”Sir, do you need help with your luggage? I can take it to the ship.”

He nodded, ”Please take it over there, thank you.”

The worker deftly hoisted the suitcase and followed behind him.

The pier’s stairs were long and steep, descending layer by layer, the stone path polished smooth by countless footsteps. The ”Bang Bang” worker was used to it, with quick and steady steps.

At the floating dock, a band was playing some light music as a welcome.

Staff from the cruise company stood at the entrance, verified Li Younan’s ID card, and asked him to look at a small screen——it was a smart facial recognition system.

After passing through security, he stepped onto the gangway connecting the floating dock and the cruise ship.

The gangway wobbled a bit, with the turbid river water swirling below.

Looking up at this brand-new ”Distant Voyage,” the 149-meter-long vessel appeared particularly massive in the river water.

Inside the cabin hall, the air conditioning was strong, instantly cooling him down.

The front desk staff handed over the room card with a smile: ”Sir, your room is on the third floor. The elevator is over there.”

Li Younan thanked them and didn’t rush to his room.

He turned back and walked to the viewing deck at the stern of the ship.

Even though he needed to take out his phone and capture some specific scenes, these materials would be used for editing videos later.

Li Younan walked around.

This ship was said to have launched just last year, with over 200 rooms, complete with entertainment lounges, a self-service restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, and other amenities.

After departing from the pier, it would cruise downstream, passing through important sites like Fengdu, White Emperor City, Wu Gorge, and the Three Gorges.

The general feeling would be like staying in a moving hotel, which should be quite interesting.

After a stroll, Li Younan continued holding his phone and entered the cabin.

There was no buffet tonight, but the lounge upstairs was open.

After placing his luggage in the room, Li Younan aimlessly wandered around the ship.

Inside the lounge, there weren’t many people at this hour, with only two or three tables occupied.

Some drinks were free, while others were paid.

Li Younan wasn’t planning on drinking, so he ordered a glass of juice, surveyed the room, and chose a seat. The spot by the window offered a very nice view.

Compared to cruising on the sea, Li Younan was actually more looking forward to the experience of cruising on the river.
