Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 186: Chapter 106: Departure, Jiuzhaigou!

Thinking about it, it makes sense; cities all start to feel the same after a while.

Nowadays, information circulates smoothly, so when something trendy appears in one city, it won’t be long before it spreads to all major cities nationwide.

Only the wonders carved by nature stay as they are, unable to be moved or replicated.

After finalizing the travel plans, the next step was to prepare for the journey.

Of course, there’s not much that actually needs special preparation.

My mom and the others couldn’t get time off immediately, so the final date was set for Friday.

In this way, by taking five days off, we’d have nine days to travel.

During these few days, Li Younan took a rest, restored his physical condition to its best, and went to visit his grandparents.

It’s worth mentioning that the guesthouse at his grandparents’ house is now on track, with guests checking in almost every two days.

Because the guesthouse focuses on experiencing rural life, it can’t operate like city hotels by ushering guests out by noon the next day; typically, it hosts a batch of guests every two days.

The small guesthouse, under Ren Xiaohuan’s management, has added many detailed value-added services.

For example, custom-made farmhouse dishes; guests can contact Ren Xiaohuan to order farm meals before 11, such as stir-fried bacon, wild mushrooms, or even slaughter a real free-range chicken.

There are no intermediaries taking a cut; tourists not only enjoy good quality food but also very reasonable prices, leading to excellent reviews online.

Those who choose to spend a weekend or two days here are usually families with children or relaxed individuals; they are all easy to get along with and friendly, which Grandpa enjoys very much.

When Li Younan visited, Ren Xiaohuan eagerly invited him home for a meal.

She was truly grateful that Li Younan gave her this job.

Apart from earning money, the most important thing is that she can take care of her mom while earning, which makes her really content and she feels immensely blessed.

Dou Dou has now grown fond of painting, mainly because he’s taken a liking to sculpture, and can now craft a decent small animal sculpture.

When Li Younan was leaving, Dou Dou gifted him a carved water buffalo.

This time, Li Younan didn’t mistake it for anything else.

It’s wonderful to make others’ lives happier; Li Younan feels a warmth in his heart, filling it completely with indescribable warmth.

...

A few days later, it was time to set off.

Mom didn’t carry much luggage, just a single suitcase with some clothes for changing.

Li Younan tossed the suitcase into the trunk, and mom buckled up in the passenger seat.

They still had to pick up Aunt Zhao and her daughter.

Mom suddenly said, ”By the way, do you remember Aunt Zhao’s daughter?”

Li Younan started the engine, pondering slightly.

He had met Aunt Zhao’s daughter a few times before.

She was quite a bit younger than him, so they didn’t interact much, only encountering each other during visits to each other’s homes.

When she was younger, the little girl used to cling to him and run after him.

Later, when Li Younan got older, he saw her less often, occasionally hearing mom mention that the little girl became somewhat rebellious after entering middle school.

At that time, Li Younan was already working and only visited their home once, but the girl wasn’t there, so he didn’t see her.

Li Younan blinked and said, ”What was her name again?”

Mom glanced at Li Younan and said, ”Her name is Zhao Ruoxuan.”

Li Younan nodded, ”Oh, right, I vaguely remember. What’s up, Mom?”

Mom sighed slightly, saying, ”That girl, well... how to say... it might be Xiaofang’s fault. They were probably a bit strict when she was young. Anyway, after she started middle school, it became difficult to manage her. Ruoxuan, the girl, has quite a temper and argues with her mom. Well, we can’t say who’s right or wrong, but Xiaofang has mentioned it to me several times, suggesting you could talk to Ruoxuan since you’re the same generation.”

Li Younan found it amusing.

Mom actually understands clearly why Zhao Ruoxuan became rebellious.

In these matters, parents and children... perhaps the parents bear more responsibility, but mom definitely wouldn’t state it so explicitly to her friend.

In his impression, Aunt Zhao is rather capable, not as gentle as mom... Mom might still be a bit afraid of Aunt Zhao.

Li Younan didn’t say anything, turned the steering wheel, and pressed the accelerator to start off.

...

Zhao Ruoxuan looked downstairs with some anticipation.

Usually, as a student, you wouldn’t have such a long holiday, but she happens to be an art student, so taking leave is somewhat easier than for regular students.

Anyway, it’s nearly time for training camp, and the school doesn’t have much control over them.

Zhao Xiaofang asked Zhao Ruoxuan to bring her drawing board so she could sketch and paint on the road.

Zhao Ruoxuan sighed, ”I know, could you please stop reminding me about everything? I know what to do myself.”

Zhao Xiaofang frowned slightly but didn’t say anything.

About to head downstairs, Zhao Xiaofang added, ”Make sure to be polite when you get in the car, alright?”

”Alright.” Zhao Ruoxuan responded, clearly a bit impatient.

”Also, you can chat with Brother Younan later; how does he manage such excellent grades? Scoring so high in academics.”
