Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 191: Chapter 107: Equestrian Skills [7,000 Words!]

Li Younan arrived at Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area and had already received the system’s check-in task.

This was another walking task similar to the check-in at West Lake in Hangzhou, requiring more than 20,000 steps within the scenic area.

It’s no small number, but completing this task in Jiuzhaigou isn’t too difficult.

Many people who haven’t been to Jiuzhaigou have no concept of the size of the scenic area.

Most of the attractions within the area are several kilometers apart, which is why shuttle buses are needed.

The operation of the shuttle buses is similar to public transit, stopping at each point so passengers can get on or off.

Of course, you can choose to walk to each attraction, but in that case, you’d probably have to stroll for three days and nights and still not see the entire area.

Jiuzhaigou is distributed in a ”Y” shape, with the focus being the Nuorilang transit hub. One side leads to Changhai, the other to the virgin forest.

Many places require walking, especially the filming sites of ”Journey to the West,” Pearl Beach Waterfall, and Nuorilang Waterfall, where you have to walk a considerable distance through a forest to reach them.

Next, it’s a truly immersive journey.

Li Younan, along with his mom and Zhao Ruoxuan and her mother, followed the signs and the crowd and quickly found the bus heading toward Changhai.

While waiting in line, he basked in the sun for a while, watching the children nearby causing a ruckus, finding it quite amusing and not at all irritating.

When the bus arrived, they boarded. There were plenty of seats inside, the ride felt cool and quite pleasant.

Since seeing the live streaming on Li Younan’s phone earlier, Zhao Ruoxuan had been silent.

Li Younan found it somewhat amusing. Actually, if it hadn’t been for this girl approaching him, he hadn’t planned to actively tell her about his live streaming.

After all, this little girl had just been proudly showing off, only to be suddenly hit like this... it’s a little pitiable.

Yet in the end, the little girl couldn’t hold back her curiosity and came over herself.

Li Younan’s live stream didn’t stop; Zhao Ruoxuan checked the number of viewers in his streaming room again, and sighed slightly.

At this point, she had already closed her own stream, looking at Li Younan with a complicated expression, saying, ”Younan, you’re really awesome. I actually believe what you said now. With so many followers, you definitely earn more than a programmer in Shanghai. How did you manage that?”

Li Younan and Zhao Ruoxuan’s mom were seated behind them, and seeing the two talking proactively brought them some solace.

Although they couldn’t hear their conversation, it seemed likely related to study.

Li Younan amusingly asked, ”What, you want to be a streamer too?”

Zhao Ruoxuan replied matter-of-factly, ”Of course, tens of thousands of followers, earning hundreds of thousands a year, with ease.”

Li Younan chuckled, ”How do you know these things?”

Zhao Ruoxuan said, ”I just know. Honestly, I don’t really want to go to college; I’d rather be a streamer. Younan, you’re a travel streamer, I truly envy you. Traveling everywhere and easily making money.”

Li Younan laughed, not responding to this statement. He didn’t want to skew the kid’s values, but he knew well that kids at this age likely won’t listen to the advice of those who have been through it, and might even think you’re preaching.

Thinking it over, Li Younan said, ”That won’t work unless you achieve financial independence; otherwise, your mom won’t let you do that, streaming can only be a side job.”

Zhao Ruoxuan protested, ”Such terrible parents!”

Li Younan shrugged, ”What to do? What choices do you have?”

Zhao Ruoxuan paused, angrily saying nothing further.

The bus was winding up the mountain road, the woods outside growing denser, and the air significantly cooled.

Li Younan pulled a light jacket from his backpack, handing it to his mom behind him.

The bus cabin was fairly quiet, with only the engine’s sound and occasional camera clicks.

Leaning against the window, without any special thoughts, he watched the varying shades of green flowing past, feeling relaxed.

This immersive travel made him even lazy about interacting with the stream viewers.

The winding mountain roads made one feel drowsy.

The drop-off point was still a short wooden walkway away from Changhai.

There were far fewer people here compared to the lower areas; it suddenly became tranquil.

The walkway was level, ambling along gently.

A turn and Changhai unexpectedly appeared before their eyes.

Changhai is vast, tranquil.

The water was that deep bluish-green, with mountains straight plunging into the water around.

It didn’t have the dazzling vibrant chaos of the Five Flower Lake, just a serene, expansive feeling.

The three women ran off to take photos.

Li Younan walked to the front of the viewing platform, leaning against the wooden railing, not rushing to take photos.

Just watching.

The wind blew, bringing moisture and coolness, very comfortable.

Standing for quite a while, the drowsiness from the ride was scattered by the breeze, his chest felt open.

Li Younan didn’t squeeze into the main viewing platform with the crowd.

He strolled along the walkway to a quieter side.

The walkway hugged the waterside, revealing giant, calcified fallen trunks underwater, like the skeletons of sleeping giants.

The water was excessively clear, allowing sight of very deep areas.

Walking a few steps, then stopping to look at the water, or gaze at the steep mountain walls ahead.

Without any purpose, just feeling this leisurely stop-and-go is quite free.

The walkway’s end was submerged, blocked off, so he turned back, undismayed.

Heading down from Changhai, Li Younan returned to the Nuorilang transfer point.
