Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 160: Chapter 100: My Disciple’s Craftsmanship [6,700 Words!]

The next day.

Li Younan took Lu Xiaolan back to school, letting her adapt on her own. Then, he drove back to Chen Kunjie’s place.

The planned time for touring in Chongqing could only be extended to about two weeks.

But it’s not really a problem.

His travels were never about rushing through tasks without thought.

Staying longer in one place is quite nice.

China is so big, there aren’t many places where one can linger for a long time.

After agreeing with Chen Kunjie, some necessary procedures still needed to be done to avoid disputes in the future.

Although both Li Younan and Chen Kunjie knew neither of them were that kind of person, business is business.

More so with friends, all potential risks must be avoided so they don’t become enemies over profit issues later.

As partners, they each hold 50% of the rights, directly stipulated by law.

The tasks, duties, and responsibilities each must undertake also became written content.

Afterwards, Chen Kunjie proudly said to Li Younan, ”Though I took advantage of you a bit, now we’re all in black and white, can’t go back on it.”

Li Younan was speechless with a smile.

Only then did he understand, in Chen Kunjie’s perspective, he truly felt he had gained an advantage.

Thinking about it, that’s true, Chen Kunjie’s way of thinking is relatively simple.

The facilities and equipment in the shop were already available.

Although he started this hot pot restaurant, he didn’t actually put out much real money.

Plus, the ”specialty” of a hot pot restaurant which plays a decisive role, he does not have it.

In business, you must have a specialty!

That’s your unique selling point.

While this location has decent foot traffic, it’s not an absolutely prime spot.

Without a special selling point, why should people come to eat at your hot pot place?

Growing up in a hot pot restaurant, Chen Kunjie was well aware of this.

The specialty, or moat, of his family’s hot pot place was affordability and generous portions.

But that’s for a reason; his family’s hot pot place is near the vegetable market.

There’s a regular shop that delivers vegetables, has been doing so for many years, allowing costs to be compressed.

Additionally, his parents aren’t greedy.

But wanting to replicate the family model here is difficult, so he could only work on taste or other aspects.

Li Younan listened to Chen Kunjie’s words, shook his head and said, ”Your thinking isn’t wrong, but you are neglecting the most important aspect in this era of traffic.”

”It’s crucial to use a traffic mindset to do business well now.”

In the food industry, the core must be good flavor; but even with good flavor, people must know about it.

We’re now in a time when even good wine is afraid of deep alleys.

The two were currently in the hot pot restaurant, Chen Kunjie asked, ”How do you plan to do it?”

Li Younan took out the phone and started filming various areas in the hot pot restaurant.

Frowning, Chen Kunjie asked suspiciously, ”If you’re going to promote, shouldn’t you be promoting the renovated hot pot restaurant? What’s the point of filming it in this current state?”

Li Younan gave Chen Kunjie a casual glance and said, ”What’s your first reaction when you see an overly formal introduction of a hot pot restaurant in an advertisement video?”

Chen Kunjie thought about it and said, ”I would watch that ad seriously and with great interest.”

Li Younan punched Chen Kunjie lightly, and only then did Chen Kunjie start laughing heartily, ”Who would watch those ads! Of course, I’d just swipe past them.”

Li Younan nodded and said, ”Exactly, many people in the media think that making a video introducing a hot pot restaurant and posting it online is enough.

”But those videos usually only get a few dozen likes, half of them from family and friends, viewing numbers in the low hundreds, such videos are meaningless.”

At this moment, Li Younan put away his phone, ”Switch to a different mentality, say you suddenly come across a video titled ’A Gen Z travel blogger who quit his job, encounters another Gen Z guy determined to open a hot pot restaurant, and they decide to manually perform a major renovation upgrade to a hot pot restaurant, testing the waters of entrepreneurship, and start a traditional hot pot restaurant belonging to young people,’ would you watch further?”

Chen Kunjie thought for a moment and nodded, ”Sounds interesting, at least I would take a look.”

But he was then puzzled, ”Where on earth are we going to find such a travel blogger?”

Li Younan said nothing.

Suddenly, Chen Kunjie realized something, his eyes wide open, ”Wait, the travel blogger you’re talking about wouldn’t actually be you, would it?”

Li Younan pulled out his phone and opened his homepage.

Because the video of the old house renovation last time went viral, the likes have already reached over 500,000, and Li Younan’s followers have surged past the 400,000 mark!

Seeing the six-digit follower count and 999+ notifications, Chen Kunjie’s mouth opened in surprise, ”No way, buddy, you... you’re seriously doing this!”

Previously, when Li Younan bragged about being a mega influencer, Chen Kunjie naturally thought he was joking.

Never thought this guy really is... a top streamer?

Immediately, Chen Kunjie took out his phone, searched for Li Younan’s id, grumbling, ”What’s with this shitty big data algorithm, never even came across your videos.”

Li Younan continued to wander inside the hot pot restaurant, beginning to envision how to renovate it.

While Chen Kunjie sat down and started watching Li Younan’s videos.

After a while, looking at Li Younan, Chen Kunjie had a complicated expression, ”When did you learn carpentry and stuff?”

Li Younan chuckled, not explaining, just casually said, ”I know plenty of things, what you see is merely the tip of the iceberg.”
