Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 892: Chapter 647: Beihai Thunder Lord (2)

As the biological father, Yang Minghao naturally had to support his son, continuously sending various talents and resources to the Taro Dynasty.

Thus, the originally leisurely members of the Yang family became busy, each of them with no time to spare.

The three brothers, including Yang Mingcheng, were busy, as were the grandchildren of the Yang family, busy inside and out, and none of the families were idle.

And just as the Yang family fell into this busyness, the name of Yang Zhenshan spread rapidly.

In just two or three months, Beihai Thunder Lord Yang Zhenshan had become well-known throughout half of the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain as a formidable martial arts expert.

Previously, Yang Zhenshan had some fame in the western part of the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain, but it wasn’t very substantial, as he rarely displayed his martial prowess publicly. This time was different; he had killed the Azure Sea Sword God, Xiang Anxu.

Xiang Anxu was originally a renowned expert, so when Yang Zhenshan killed him, he naturally became famous.

The so-called Beihai actually refers to the northern sea area of the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain. Da Rong’s Beihai is the sea area outside Liaodong and is also called Liao Sea, while the Beihai of the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain is the sea north of Star Moon Island and Divine Wood Island.

As for Thunder Lord, it is because he can command thunder.

Why not Thunder God then?

It’s not because his weapon isn’t a hammer, but because the Thunder God is a truly existing deity. No, to be precise, the Nature God is a deity with many beliefs.

Like Thunder God, Water God, Fire God, Sea God, Mountain God, etc., in the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain, many have faith in these deities, so martial artists can’t use their divine titles as their names.

But titles like Sword God, Knife God, and Spear God can be used because there are no beliefs in such deities, so they can be used as titles for powerful figures.

Yang Zhenshan is a master of spears and could be called the Spear God, but Spear God is too common; there are not fifty, but at least thirty or forty renowned Spear Gods in the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain.

In comparison, the title of Thunder Lord is much less common.

Zhang Juhai, after careful consideration, conferred the title of Beihai Thunder Lord onto Yang Zhenshan.

Yes, the title for Yang Zhenshan was indeed given by Zhang Juhai, and the reason Beihai Thunder Lord could gain fame so quickly was also due to Zhang Juhai’s promotion.

Why did Zhang Juhai want to promote Yang Zhenshan?

The reason is simple: the bigger the fame, the greater the power, and the greater the deterrent to various forces, which can reduce a lot of trouble.

Now the Zhang Dynasty and the Yang family have divided the territory of the Taluo Dynasty, and to prevent other forces from intervening and competing for the Taluo Dynasty’s lands, the two sides must possess enough deterrent power.

Zhang Juhai knew that his name wasn’t enough, and his strength was lacking, so he brought out Yang Zhenshan.

With Xiang Anxu as a stepping stone, Yang Zhenshan’s name has already become enough to deter various forces.

”Beihai Thunder Lord?”

Yang Zhenshan also heard about his title, told to him by Yang Minghao, who got it from the Taro Dynasty.

”This title isn’t grand enough!”

He said with some disdain.

Yang Minghao blinked and asked, ”Dad, what kind of title would you want?”

Yang Zhenshan stroked his beard and said blandly, ”It should be something like Nine Heavens Thunder Lord or Ten Thousand Laws Thunder Monarch. What a lousy Beihai, how petty!”

Upon hearing this, Yang Minghao’s expression shifted slightly, ”Dad, why don’t I have someone spread it, and change this title?”

Yang Zhenshan looked at him in surprise, ”This can be changed?”

”Once it’s spread enough, it will naturally change! Hehe, our Yang family’s fleets are so numerous, and the merchant ships passing through North Ring Island and Return Cloud Island are countless. As long as it’s spread in these two places, it can quickly spread to half of the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain!”

Yang Minghao thought this was pretty easy; the Yang family just needed to operate a little.

Yang Zhenshan hadn’t thought about such an operation, wasn’t this akin to buying hot searches to establish a persona?

”Not bad, you’ve improved a lot over the years!”

”Hehe, it’s all thanks to your good teaching, Dad!” Yang Minghao laughed, ”Dad, should I operate a bit?”

Yang Zhenshan waved it off, ”Forget it, it’s just a fictitious name, no need to pay too much attention to it.”

He was just venting and didn’t really care about such titles.

He was more concerned about Yang Mingzhao than these bogus titles.

”By the way, still haven’t heard from your fourth brother?”

It’s almost July, more than half a year has passed, and Yang Mingzhao seems to have vanished into thin air, with no news at all.

”There are some leads; fourth brother seems to have gone to Yun Gui and Bashu, but it’s hard for the merchant companies there to find out his exact location!” Yang Mingzhi said helplessly.

The Yang family’s merchant companies have substantial properties in Da Rong, but these properties are mainly concentrated in coastal areas, and places like Yun Gui and Bashu have no traces of the Yang family’s merchant companies.

Moreover, Yun Gui and Bashu are currently chaotic, making it even more challenging to find Yang Mingzhao.

”Strange, what’s that kid up to? He hasn’t been home for almost a year!” Yang Zhenshan found it odd.

He wasn’t very worried about Yang Mingzhao’s safety; Wu Zheng was with him, and Yang Mingzhao also had four Yang family guards with him.

Such strength might not have free rein in Da Rong, but there shouldn’t be any force that could swallow them whole.

Besides, he is also well-known in Da Rong, so if Yang Mingzhao encounters danger, he can just mention his name.

Many people would likely still be willing to give face to this old marquis.

”Should I go look for him?” Yang Minghao said.

Yang Zhenshan thought about it and decided they should indeed look for him; without bringing the kid back, he, as an old father, couldn’t set his mind at ease.

Also, Yu Qingyi, who lately has been keeping Chengan and Wanqi by her side, probably misses her son much.

”Better you stay; Chengyou still needs your help, I’ll have Li Chang take people to check it out!”

With that, Yang Zhenshan called Li Chang to his study.

He pondered for a while, wrote a letter, and instructed Li Chang, ”This is for the Yangtian Sect in Yunzhou; have them help find Mingzhao!”

”Although Li Shouning has been deceased for many years, the strength of the Yangtian Sect is still formidable, and they are more familiar with Yun Gui and Bashu, so their help should save a lot of trouble!”

Only relying on Li Chang and a few others to go to Yun Gui and Bashu to gather people would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Yang Zhenshan also had friends in the Bashu and Yun Gui regions. When Li Shouning was still alive, they had a good relationship.

It was he who facilitated Li Shouning’s garrisoning at Cui Xia Valley, and later when Li Shouning passed away, the Yang family sent people to the Yangtian Sect to pay their respects.

Furthermore, in the past, the Yangtian Sect often exchanged treasure medicine for the Yang family’s wine and tea, so although their relationship wasn’t close, they’d had many dealings.

After receiving the instructions, Li Chang left Divine Wood Island with four personal followers the next day.

To go from Divine Wood Island to Da Rong, one must first go to North Ring Island to board a merchant ship.

After the Yang family moved from Star Moon Island to Divine Wood Island, Star Moon Island lost its most crucial trade position.

North Ring Island remains one of the most critical islands on the northern maritime route of the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain, but Star Moon Island is now different. Without the Yang family, Star Moon Island is just a regular island.

It’s foreseeable that Star Moon Island will surely decline in the future.

Decline is inevitable, but the Yang family won’t abandon Star Moon Island; there are still many fertile lands there, all nourished by the Spiritual Spring Water.

The people of Star Moon Island will relocate to Divine Wood Island, but subsequently, people from Liaodong will also move to Star Moon Island.

However, Star Moon Island will definitely become much quieter in the future.
