Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 873: Chapter 639: Mr. Zhang, Are You Going to Establish a Dynasty?

After taking care of the matters of compensation and rewards, the time had already approached dusk, and the heads of various families arrived at the government office one after another.

They stood in the courtyard outside the main hall of the government office, waiting.

This was the first time Yang Zhenshan had gathered so many people together.

On the Yang family side, there were the three brothers Yang Mingcheng, Yang Mingzhi, and Yang Minghao, but the Yang clan also included Yang Chengche and Yang Qinwu.

In fact, there were many more Yang clan disciples on the island, such as Yang Mingwu’s grandson Yang Jide, Yang Chengze’s son Yang Qinzhen, Yang Mingzhen’s son Yang Chengyi, and so on, but these were all younger generation members who had not yet reached the level of family heads, so they were not called.

Apart from the Yang clan disciples, the rest were affiliated families of the Yang family.

Ding Qiu, Wu Zhan, and Luo Jingsong, all three of them now had children and grandchildren and were considered family.

Then there was Luo Shang’s Luo family, Zhen Yang’s Zhen family, Lv Xinghe’s Lv family, Xie Yuan’s Xie family, Wu Chongzhe’s Wu family, Han Cheng’s Han family, Zhang Yuanwu’s Zhang family, Yu Tonghai’s Yu family, Xue Ping’s Xue family, etc.

These families had settled on Star Moon Island; perhaps they still had many disciples in Da Rong, but their focus had shifted to Star Moon Island.

Any promising disciples would be sent to Star Moon Island for training, and when they grew old, they would also come to Star Moon Island for retirement.

Additionally, there were a few special families represented by Liang Jinyan of the Liang family, Qu Shaogong of the Qu family, Lu Wenquan of the Lu family, and Liang Rong, who was the family of Yang Minghao’s wife, etc. These families had also sent disciples to settle on Star Moon Island.

Although their main focus remained in Da Rong, they arranged for their disciples to settle on Star Moon Island to achieve accomplishments in martial arts.

However, they were not qualified to participate in this meeting personally convened by Yang Zhenshan.

At present, more than twenty people stood in the courtyard, including the three brothers Yang Mingcheng, Yang Chengze, Yang Qinwu, Ding Qiu, Wu Zhan, Luo Jingsong, Luo Shang, Luo Zhen, Zhen Yangshi, Zhen Tao, Lv Xinghe, Xie Yuan, Wu Chongzhe, Han Cheng, Zhang Yuanwu, Yu Tonghai’s son Yu Zhangshu, Xue Ping and his second son Xue Fuyang, Wang Mingzhe, and Lin Zhan’s second son Lin Yaozong.

”Come in, everyone!”

Yang Zhenshan called out from inside the hall.

The crowd entered the hall, standing or sitting.

Yang Zhenshan looked at the densely packed group of people, stroked his beard, and laughed, ”This hall is still a bit small; in the future, we should build a bigger one!”

Everyone was curious about what Yang Zhenshan intended to do today, and upon hearing this, they couldn’t help but laugh.

Yang Zhenshan raised his hand to signal silence, then said, ”Today we have gathered mainly for two matters!”

”The first matter concerns Divine Wood Island, which is already at our disposal in the future; we will surely relocate to Divine Wood Island!”

”Divine Wood Island is more than thirty times the size of Star Moon Island, with the potential to cultivate a million acres of fertile land, mountains, water, and many divine trees!”

”Uh, let’s not call them divine trees anymore; those are the Divine Wood Sect’s divine trees, not ours. Let’s refer to them as the Ten-thousand-year-old Rong instead.”

The large Banyan Tree on Divine Wood Island may not have lived for ten thousand years, but it should be several thousand years old.

”The ignorance of the Divine Wood Sect, holding onto such a treasure land without utilizing it, is a real waste. We must not waste this precious island, so I plan to relocate most people from Star Moon Island to Divine Wood Island!”

”Of course, Star Moon Island will not be left idle. Subsequently, we will relocate people from Da Rong to supplement Star Moon Island and the other six islands.”

Just Divine Wood Island alone can accommodate hundreds of thousands of people, and if developed well, it could house a million people without issue.

Divine Wood Island stretches over more than 180 miles east to west, with the widest point from north to south more than 50 miles. The island features a mountain range running from east to west, with peaks towering, the highest roughly 300 yards tall.

The island is crisscrossed by numerous rivers, covered in dense vegetation, but most of the areas are primitive forests; the Divine Wood Sect has only opened a small section in the northeast, known as the site of the divine tree.

That is the Divine Wood Sect’s Holy Land and Holy Island, and they only allow a few people to live there. A large island has a population that does not surpass that of Star Moon Island, with only twenty thousand people.

It’s unnecessary to develop the entire island; just developing the most suitable areas for cultivation in the northeast and southwest can accommodate two to three hundred thousand people.

The untouched primitive forest on the island can remain undisturbed by simply establishing villages along the rivers; eventually building two cities will truly create a blessed land.

However, this matter requires gradual progress, and Yang Zhenshan is in no hurry, intending to gradually relocate the populace of Star Moon Island.

It’s not to harm the populace by relocating them; instead, it’s to take care of them.

Since the Yang family has captured Divine Wood Island, they will surely reside permanently on Divine Wood Island, and then he will definitely reside in the northeastern part of Divine Wood Island.

That area has rivers, the Ten-thousand-year-old Banyan, fertile lands, and accommodating tens of thousands of people is no problem.

Most importantly, where Yang Zhenshan is, there will be Spiritual Spring Water.

The populace of Star Moon Island has fought for the Yang family, so Yang Zhenshan plans to take them along for relocation.

As the territory occupied by the Yang family expands, Yang Zhenshan will undoubtedly be unable to take care of all areas, only those where he resides will be nourished with Spiritual Spring Water.

As for other places, it depends on Yang Zhenshan’s mood; if he’s inclined to move around, he might visit here and there and leave some Spiritual Spring Water. If he’s unwilling to move, then other places or islands naturally won’t receive Spiritual Spring Water’s nourishment.
