Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 879: Chapter 642: Falcon Training and Bird Taming Skill

Yang Chengyou wore a bitter expression, ”Then what do you want?”

Yang Chengxian chuckled, ”Third brother, I don’t want much, just two jars of wine, hmm, Hundred Herbs Brew!”

Yang Chengmao, upon hearing this, also laughed and said, ”Then I want two jars as well!”

”Second brother!” Yang Chengyou was about to cry, looking pitifully at Yang Chengmao.

His current cultivation was only at the Postnatal Seventh Layer, and his annual cultivation salary was just six jars of wine.

Yang Chengzhang did not seem to consider Yang Chengyou’s whining, rushed to him, and said, ”Brother, you are my real brother, I definitely won’t cheat you!”

”Yes, yes, yes!” Yang Chengyou nodded repeatedly, suddenly feeling that his brother was more reliable.

Yang Chengzhang grinned, ”We can’t forget eldest brother’s share either, let’s send two jars of good wine to eldest brother. As a younger brother, I’ll ask for a little less, a pound of tea leaves!”

”Give sixth brother and seventh brother a pound of tea leaves too, what do you think?”

As he spoke, he looked toward Yang Chengzhen and Yang Chengyu.

Yang Chengyu hurriedly nodded, ”I have no objections!”

Except for Yang Cheng’an, he was the youngest amongst the eight brothers, and the age gap with these elder brothers was quite large. Previously, the brothers never took him along, but now fifth brother is willing to include him in playing a trick on fourth brother, he couldn’t help but get excited.

”I also have no objections!” Yang Chengzhen smiled warmly and said.

Yang Chengzhang thought for a moment, ”Cheng’an is still young; wine and tea leaves are not suitable for him, just give him a pound of royal jelly!”

He actually started arranging on behalf of Yang Chengyou.

”I don’t have any royal jelly!” Yang Chengyou suddenly became anxious.

Six jars of wine, three pounds of tea leaves, that was exactly his annual cultivation salary, and royal jelly was only attainable after reaching the Half-step Innate level.

”Go ask dad for some, and you’ll get it!” Yang Chengzhang was not only pranking his brother but also his own father.

Watching the expressions of his brothers, Yang Chengyou gritted his teeth, stomped his foot, and said, ”Fine, don’t argue with me, I’ll give you what you want!”

”That’s more like it!” Yang Chengxian chuckled.

At this time, Yang Zhenshan happened to lead Yang Mingcheng and the three brothers in, asking, ”What’s right or wrong?”

”Grandfather, fourth brother said he wants to become king!” Yang Chengxian said.

Yang Zhenshan looked at Yang Chengyou, ”You want to go?”

”Yes!” Yang Chengyou replied nervously, nodding.

Yang Zhenshan then looked at the other grandsons, ”None of you have any objections?”

”No!”

”No!”

The few of them shook their heads repeatedly.

Yang Zhenshan nodded slightly, ”Then let it be Chengyou.”

Being king or not being king is not a big deal, as long as someone is willing to do it, it doesn’t matter who it is.

Moreover, being king doesn’t mean you can’t return; once Chengyou has had enough of being king, he can pass the throne to his sons or grandsons.

Nobody put much stock in this kingship, and Yang Zhenshan naturally wouldn’t care much either.

Taro Dynasty hasn’t been destroyed yet, and even the terms with Mrs. Zhang’s dynasty haven’t been negotiated; determining the candidate for king now seems a bit premature.

However, Yang Zhenshan felt that destroying the Taro Dynasty wouldn’t be difficult. Xiang Anxu was already dead, Wen Qing was captured, and even the Taro Dynasty’s elite Whale Navy was completely wiped out. What resistance does Taro Dynasty have now?

To put it bluntly, Yang Zhenshan never held these forces in the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain in high regard.

Compared to Da Rong, these forces are trivial.

Take the Lv Sheng Dynasty for example, which is a vassal of Da Rong, yet in the west of the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain, it’s a dominant force, capable of ruling its domain.

And Taro Dynasty is even less than Lv Sheng Dynasty, naturally not worthy of Yang Zhenshan’s attention.

Having determined the king’s candidate, Yang Zhenshan immediately went to discuss the expedition against Divine Wood Island and Taro Dynasty with Xue Ping.

This will certainly involve the Tenglong Guard Navy, and potentially require them to be the main force for the Star Moon Island.

Yet, how to motivate the Tenglong Guard soldiers to fight hard while sending them thousands of miles away on an expedition is a pressing issue.

Although Yang Zhenshan holds some respect in Tenglong Guard, though Yu Tonghai and Xue Ping are willing to fight for Star Moon Island, and many descendants of Tenglong Guard are on Star Moon Island, the truth remains that the expedition against Divine Wood Island and Taro Dynasty has nothing to do with the Navy soldiers.

Yang Zhenshan must reward the soldiers, but that alone is insufficient; he must also boost their enthusiasm and morale.

In the government office, Yang Zhenshan temporarily used Jiang He’s study.

”Soldiers sailing four thousand miles to fight; we shouldn’t treat them poorly, naturally!”

Yang Zhenshan told Xue Ping, ”Let’s do this, any soldiers participating in this battle shall receive ten acres of good farmland around Divine Wood Island, with additional rewards of land up to a hundred acres for meritorious ones!”

For ordinary people, land is always the most important asset, and for Tenglong Guard soldiers and soldiers, it’s an asset they desire.

”In the future, when the Tenglong Guard descendants move here, each person shall receive four acres of paddy field or six acres of dry land, and the rewarded land from this battle can be combined with the population land allocation.”

Originally, population from Tenglong Guard needed to be relocated here, so this fits perfectly, just giving more land directly.

Soldiers may not move themselves here, but they have sons, sending a son over can suffice; lured by the land, more from the Tenglong Guard will move here.

Regarding this, Xue Ping naturally had no objections; it was indeed what he was happy to see.

Yang Zhenshan continued, ”Followers of the Divine Wood Sect, kill if you can; unless you are 100% sure they aren’t members, just bury them!”
