Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 866: Chapter 636: Father and Son, Brothers on the Battlefield Together

The chaos engulfed Star Moon Island, while the Whale Navy descended into utter disarray.

Initially, the Whale Navy exuded an imposing aura, full of confidence as they confronted a group of plainly dressed farmers, charging at them the moment they landed onshore.

To them, the farmers seemed no different from a flock of lambs awaiting slaughter, yet as soon as the two sides clashed, their own forces suffered heavy casualties.

Next, the farmers unexpectedly began attacking with vigor, and it dawned on them that these farmers weren’t ordinary, but were actually Martial Artists.

No more words were needed; the elite Whale Navy started to crumble, with many hurriedly retreating back to their ships upon noticing the unfavorable situation, attempting to flee by sea.

However, the ships docking at the rear were congested, packed heavily together. The ships at the dock wanted to depart, the ones yet to dock were trying to arrive, and several ships were empty as the warriors onboard were still on the island battling the young and able of Star Moon Island.

Collapse, chaos, caught between advancing and retreating—this nightmare unfolded for the Whale Navy.

The young and able of Star Moon Island, driven mad by the bloodshed, started boarding the ships, slaughtering the enemy trying to escape.

The battle grew fiercer and more brutal.

At the same time, fighting erupted on the docks; neither side wasted any breath on words, as Yang Zhenshan had no intention of negotiating, and Xiang Anxu wanted to fight before talking, so as Xiang Anxu and other Innate Martial Artists landed, the Whale Navy launched their attack.

Over a dozen large ships, more than forty medium-sized vessels, apart from a few keeping watch at sea, most had already docked at the harbor as nearly ten thousand Whale Navy warriors surged towards Star Moon City.

Star Moon City had no walls; the area by the docks was filled with warehouses, with roads paved in bluestone connecting them.

They launched their attack along these roads.

To be honest, the Whale Navy held back; they didn’t use the crossbows from their ships and instead engaged in close combat on the island.

Because their aim was not to annihilate Star Moon Island, but to subdue it.

They could attack Star Moon City but didn’t want to destroy it, especially the warehouses at the docks, as they desired the goods inside.

This fell in line with Yang Zhenshan’s wishes. If the Whale Navy had immediately used the crossbows, the destruction to Star Moon City would have been immense, possibly forcing Yang Zhenshan to engage them at sea.

The battle commenced, and as the enemy forces steadily landed, Yang Zhenshan raised his spear, eyes blazing as he gazed at Xiang Anxu and Chang Lin.

”Kill!”

Before his words even finished, he shot forward like a cannonball.

The spear was like a dragon, as was his body; with a single step, he leapt several dozen yards and arrived at the docks.

Xiang Anxu and the others had just disembarked, preparing to charge at Yang Zhenshan, unexpectedly finding him already charging at them.

Xiang Anxu raised his three-foot sword to meet the clash.

Yang Zhenshan leaped seven or eight yards, raised his spear, and brought it down with a mighty cleave.

Hair and beard flying, an aura of terror mixed with intense killing intent weighed heavily upon everyone like a mountain.

Xiang Anxu was struck with awe, reacting instinctively as he raised his sword to meet Yang Zhenshan head-on.

Chang Lin’s aged face shifted slightly, his slightly bent body pausing in surprise.

He had seen Yang Zhenshan before; back then, Yang Zhenshan’s furious cleave nearly crushed him.

Hou Fangjin’s face drastically changed, stunned by Yang Zhenshan’s aura.

Wen Qing’s eyes glistened with shock, his expression growing tense.

An expert’s strike needs no further display; with just one move, without even contacting them, Yang Zhenshan had already instilled terror in them.

In mid-air, Yang Zhenshan looked at the soaring Xiang Anxu, the corner of his mouth curving into a smile.

”Thunderous strike!”

Crack~~

In the clear sky, a thunderclap resounded dramatically. In the next moment, brilliant lightning coiled around Yang Zhenshan, gathering on the straight Mystical Iron spear.

Hair and beard stretched out, it seemed ghostly white arcs pulsed through his hair.

Originally, Xiang Anxu believed he could withstand Yang Zhenshan’s spear, but the sudden thunderous strike startled him.

Yet, it only startled him as the next moment, Yang Zhenshan’s cleave descended.

The heavy Mystical Iron spear, with a piercing sound as it cut through the air, came crashing down amidst the ear-splitting thunder.

Xiang Anxu only managed to raise his sword to block.

Crack~~

Xiang Anxu felt a tremendous force through the sword, followed by a numbness in his arm, spreading half of his body.

Then he uncontrollably crashed to the ground, bouncing off the bluestone pavement, and smashing against a warship anchored at the back.

With a loud bang.

The ship’s hull cracked as Xiang Anxu ricocheted back onto the dock platform.

Chang Lin, Hou Fangjin, and the other two Innate Martial Artists from the Divine Wood Sect were taken aback and instinctively backed away, creating a distance of several dozen yards from the landing Yang Zhenshan.

Wen Qing was already paralyzed with fear, standing between Yang Zhenshan and Xiang Anxu, blankly watching Xiang Anxu bounce to the ground.

Who was Xiang Anxu?

He was the Sword God of the Taro Dynasty, the Azure Sea Sword God renowned across half the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain, yet he couldn’t even withstand a single strike from Yang Zhenshan!

Wen Qing turned his head back stiffly, looking at the wildly flying-haired Yang Zhenshan with incredulous eyes.
