Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 887: Chapter 645: Dajing Dynasty

”Indeed, it is I!” Sui Qingmo looked at Yang Mingzhi and said solemnly, ”May I ask who you are?”

”Yang Mingzhi of the Yang family from Star Moon Island!” Yang Mingzhi replied.

Sui Qingmo nodded slightly; she had heard of the Yang family from Star Moon Island multiple times recently, even though she previously knew nothing about them.

”They are not bad people. Perhaps their actions seem somewhat unprincipled, but they do not intend to oppose Star Moon Island. I hope Master Yang can spare them!”

Sui Qingmo spoke on behalf of the surrendered ministers.

Yang Mingzhi hesitated and looked at the trembling surrendered ministers, then smirked, ”Okay, but I hope you will stay on to assist the future King Jing!”

”King Jing?” Sui Qingmo asked, puzzled.

”There will no longer be a Taro Dynasty, only a Dajing Dynasty, and my nephew will be the first King Jing!” Yang Mingzhi laughed.

Jing, taken from Jing’an Prefecture’s Jing, is also the Jing from Marquis Jing’an.

This was the name established by Yang Zhenshan, a bit of nostalgia for the past.

And Yang Chengyou will be the first King Jing.

The Yang family is now short-handed, but these surrendered ministers can be of use.

Of course, the Yang family will also insert their own people. Yang Chengyou and the sons of various families have already joined the army, ready to take over half of the Taro Dynasty at any time.

Originally, they planned to win over some surrendered ministers of the Taro Dynasty. It’s perfect now, the personnel are all ready, and can be used entirely.

As for other issues, they can be addressed gradually later.

Regarding getting Sui Qingmo to assist Yang Chengyou, this was actually a spur-of-the-moment decision by Yang Mingzhi.

Sui Qingmo has no enmity with the Yang family, making her quite approachable.

As for whether Sui Qingmo will rebel, Yang Mingzhi is not worried at all; she would not dare rebel unless she wishes to die.

With the Yang family’s strength, why would they fear her rebellion?

Sui Qingmo hesitated, ”I wish to leave this place!”

”Then assist my nephew for five years; this request is not too harsh, right?” Yang Mingzhi said.

Sui Qingmo looked at Yang Mingzhi, then at Luo Jingsong and Xue Ping standing nearby, and finally nodded in agreement, ”Okay, but you must not stop me when the time comes; you must let me leave!”

”Haha, why would we? The future Dajing Dynasty will be your home. You can travel whenever you wish and return as you please!” Yang Mingzhi laughed.

Now Sui Qingmo is alone, solitary, without attachments. Yang Mingzhi believes she is worth winning over; she only needs some ties to the future Dajing Dynasty, and she’ll belong to it.

Acquiring an Innate Martial Artist, both Yang Mingzhi and Yang Chengyou were very pleased. Upon hearing of such an Innate Martial Artist, Yang Chengyou personally came to pay his respects as a junior, which made Sui Qingmo feel comforted, thus developing a greater fondness for both Yang Mingzhi and Yang Chengyou.

The rest was simple. The army stationed outside the city, with Yang Chengyou leading Yang Minghao, Wu Zhan, and Sui Qingmo, along with over thirty sons from the various families of Star Moon Island, ten Yang family guards, and a hundred Star Moon Navy soldiers into the dynasty.

From now on, this would be the capital of the Dajing Dynasty, and everything here belonged to the Yang family.

The process of accepting the capital was straightforward. In just seven to eight days, Yang Chengyou had organized the dynasty’s affairs.

As for the remaining cities and islands, they were mostly settled through announcements.

It’s not that the Taro Dynasty lacked loyal ministers, but under the powerful military threat, when nearly all civil and military officials had surrendered, those wishing to surrender greatly outnumbered the loyal ones.

Yang Chengyou didn’t even need to handle them personally; those willing to surrender took care of the loyal ones who didn’t.

Of course, this led to negative consequences; most of the remaining ministers were unprincipled traitors, and all previous issues of the Taro Dynasty were inherited by the new Dajing Dynasty.

Yang Chengyou wanted to turn this little dynasty into a prosperous dynasty, which required considerable time and effort.

However, these were minor issues, not affecting the overall situation.

In late March, Yang Chengyou met with envoys from the Zhang Dynasty, once again discussing certain affairs with them.

In early April, the Tenglong Guard Navy withdrew, while the Star Moon Navy temporarily remained at Taro King’s Palace.

Mid-month, the Liang family brought Ms. Yu and Yang Chengyou’s children to the Taro Dynasty.

At the end of the month, Yang Chengyou prayed to heaven and earth, claiming himself as king and establishing a dynasty.

Yang Chengyou was disappointed that Yang Zhenshan and Yu Qingyi did not attend his coronation ceremony.

Then the Star Moon Navy left, and Yang Minghao and his wife also departed.

Under Yang Chengyou, the only reliable group consisted of over thirty sons from various families from Star Moon Island, along with ten Yang family guards and two hundred naval soldiers.

As for the Innate Martial Artists, Wu Zhan stayed, promising to support the Dajing Dynasty for three years, essentially holding the fort for Yang Chengyou.

In the future, the Yang family will schedule an Innate Martial Artist to support the Dajing Dynasty every three years.

After ascending the throne, Yang Chengyou promptly began reforming the Dajing Dynasty’s military, starting with the imperial guard of the capital and then reorganizing the dynasty’s navy.

Yang Zhenshan generously returned the Whale Navy’s warships to him, enabling him to form a new navy.

Meanwhile, Sui Qingmo followed Yang Minghao to Star Moon Island.

She became a consecrated figure of the Dajing Dynasty, essentially a consecrated figure of the Yang family thereafter.

Yang Zhenshan met Sui Qingmo in the front hall of his residence.

Although the woman had grown old, her appearance remained elegantly offbeat.
