Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 861: Chapter 633: Heavy Mystical Iron Spear (Part 2)

But the Yang family and the Zhu family are related by marriage, and they can be considered of the same generation.

However, the Zhu family is quite special; internally, they only rank according to cultivation level. Zhu Changxing and Zhu Yanshan are not of the same generation, but they are respectively the Second Young Master and Third Master of the Zhu family.

Therefore, Yang Zhenshan and Zhu Yanshan cannot address each other by their generational title but can only call each other brothers.

”Yanshan greets Senior Zhang!” Zhu Yanshan respectfully cupped his fists in greeting.

Zhang Juhai returned the salute and said with a smile: ”Brother Yanshan, if you do not mind, you may address this old man as Brother Zhang!”

The three exchanged pleasantries for a while, then took their seats for tea.

Yang Zhenshan noticed the long box behind Zhu Yanshan and couldn’t help but ask, ”What’s this?”

Zhu Yanshan immediately stood up, opened the long box like he was presenting a treasure, and took out a long spear from inside.

Duang~~

The heavy iron butt fell onto the bluestone floor, immediately shattering the three-foot-wide bluestone tile.

Yang Zhenshan’s mouth twitched slightly. Brother, can you be more careful? If you break something, it has to be repaired.

Still, his bluestone tiles couldn’t compare to the blue jade tiles in Zhu Changxing’s study, so he simply complained a bit. His attention was soon drawn to the long spear.

”Brother from the Yang family, this is the weapon I crafted for you. See if it fits your hand!” Zhu Yanshan looked at Yang Zhenshan with sincerity.

As a Forging Master, Zhu Yanshan’s favorite thing was when the weapons he forged received the user’s approval.

Yang Zhenshan’s eyes shone brightly as he reached out to pick up the spear, weighing it.

”This weight, isn’t it over two thousand pounds?”

”Yes, two thousand four hundred and eighty-two pounds!” Zhu Yanshan replied, looking at Yang Zhenshan with great expectation.

Yang Zhenshan didn’t hesitate and took the spear out of the reception room, starting to wield it in the courtyard outside.

The spear was heavy, forceful, and carried a powerful momentum with each swing.

Yang Zhenshan found it very comfortable to use, not taxing at all.

The Xuan Tie Spear felt too light for him now, like wielding a wooden stick, always giving a feeling of weightlessness.

This spear was sufficiently heavy and perfectly suited Yang Zhenshan now.

”What a good spear!” Yang Zhenshan praised, unable to contain his admiration after a few swings.

Zhu Yanshan smiled and said, ”I knew this spear would suit Brother from the Yang family!”

Beside him, Zhang Juhai displayed an envious expression. Despite his long-standing fame, he didn’t possess a weapon as good as the long spear in Yang Zhenshan’s hand.

Some things are not obtained just because you’re formidable; they are acquired through opportunity and luck.

The long spear forged by Zhu Yanshan was definitely not something that could be bought.

If it were anyone else, wanting such a spear would not only require a great price but also necessitate requesting it from the Zhu family.

Leaving aside how many rare minerals went into this spear, just the fact that Zhu Yanshan spent half a year forging it speaks volumes about the favor involved.

The relationship between the Yang and Zhu families was close, and the Yang family could bring huge benefits to the Zhu family. Otherwise, Zhu Yanshan wouldn’t have gone through such trouble to craft this long spear for Yang Zhenshan.

Importantly, no one from the Zhu family prevented him, knowing that Zhu Yanshan now represents not just himself but the entire Zhu family.

”What is its name?” Yang Zhenshan asked, beaming as he caressed the spear tip.

Zhu Yanshan said, ”This spear now belongs to Brother from the Yang family, so you may give it a name!”

Looking at the entirely dark spear, even the blade was dark, Yang Zhenshan thought for a moment and said, ”Why not call it the Mystical Iron Heavy Spear?”

”...”

Zhu Yanshan’s naive expression froze.

Brother, isn’t this name too understated!

I previously called it Mystical Iron Heavy Spear because its body is made of Mystical Iron and it is indeed heavy.

But couldn’t you give it a more impressive name? This is the first weapon I crafted heartily after breaking through to the Innate Realm and it should have a striking name.

”Brother, how about naming it Invincible Heavy Spear?” Zhu Yanshan suggested.

Yang Zhenshan shook his head, ”That’s not good, ’Invincible’ is too tacky!”

”Then call it Five-Metal Double-Edge Mystical Butt Heavy Spear!” Zhu Yanshan suggested again.

Five-Metal implies the spear is forged from five kinds of metal, Double-Edge refers to the two edges of the spearhead, and Mystical Butt refers to the Mystical Iron butt of the spear. It’s very descriptive.

Yang Zhenshan shook his head again, ”Just Mystical Iron Heavy Spear!”

”Hahaha~~”

Looking at Zhu Yanshan’s slightly aggrieved expression, he laughed and said, ”Whether the name is striking doesn’t matter. It’s the user who counts!”

”What? Brother Yanshan, do you lack confidence in me!”

”Haha, trust brother, he will certainly make this spear notorious, renowned throughout the world!”

Hearing this, Zhu Yanshan stopped fretting, chuckling, ”I know Brother from the Yang family is formidable. With him, surely this spear will become famous worldwide!”

Receiving such an excellent spear made Yang Zhenshan unspeakably happy.

”Come, brother will treat you to drinks today. There’ll be as much Drunken Immortal Brew as you like, drink to your heart’s content!”

”Hehe, then I won’t hold back!” Zhu Yanshan, hearing there’s Drunken Immortal Brew, immediately forgot about the spear.

Drunken Immortal Brew was his absolute favorite!

Yang Zhenshan, not being stingy, took Zhang Juhai and Zhu Yanshan home for drinks.

Hundred Herbs Brew, Hundred Fruit Brew, Peach Blossom Brew, apricot blossom brew, plum wine, Drunken Immortal Brew, and various other alcohols were placed before Zhang Juhai, making him slur his words while drinking.

Mainly, it was the inebriating nature of Drunken Immortal Brew, brewed with Drunken Immortal Herb; even Innate Martial Artists could get drunk from it.

”Brother Yang, from now on, you are my blood brother!”

Yang Zhenshan was slightly tipsy too, ”Yes, from now on, we are brothers of different fathers and mothers!”

”Count me in; I’m also your blood brother!” Zhu Yanshan, unwilling to be left out, drunkenly said.

”Come, cheers, brothers!” Yang Zhenshan raised his glass and downed a mouthful of the spicy Drunken Immortal Brew.

He was adept at drinking; he could consume several pounds of Drunken Immortal Brew.

Though today, he met his match. Zhang Juhai’s drinking ability was mediocre; after a pound of alcohol, he became blurry-eyed, while Zhu Yanshan, particularly bold.

Like Old Niu drinking water, he guzzled down, even with his face red like a boiled shrimp, he was still in high spirits.

”Brother from the Yang family, this alcohol is strong, potent. In the future, if Brother from the Yang family needs any weapon, let me know, I’ll surely forge it wholeheartedly!”

Zhu Yanshan patted his chest with a loud sound.

”Good brother!” Yang Zhenshan patted his shoulder. ”Come for drinks anytime you want, brother! I’ve got plenty of alcohol here!”

The three drank till they were tipsily sprawled, the dishes on the table were left in chaos.

But the atmosphere was very lively, their feelings towards each other intensified like the Drunken Immortal Brew.

Meanwhile, while the three were drinking, Wen Qing on the distant Divine Forest Island had an extremely unpleasant expression.

”Didn’t you say Yang Zhenshan would certainly come knocking? Why has it been over half a month and he still hasn’t come?” Wen Qing asked irritably, looking at Hou Fangjin opposite.

They had been waiting here for over half a month, not only him but Xiang Anxu as well, waiting for Yang Zhenshan to come and walk into their trap. Yet, after waiting for more than half a month, even the Whale Navy had been on standby near Divine Forest Island for three days, but damn it, they hadn’t seen a trace.

Hou Fangjin was puzzled too; this didn’t match his impression of Yang Zhenshan.

Last time, after Divine Wood Island intercepted the Yang family’s merchant ships, Yang Zhenshan came knocking on the third day, forcibly breaking through Divine Wood Island and humiliating them thoroughly.

But this time, why didn’t Yang Zhenshan come?

What Hou Fangjin didn’t know was that Yang Zhenshan was waiting for the Tenglong Guard’s Navy.

The last time Yang Zhenshan went directly to demand an explanation, it was because he had no choice; at that time, Star Moon Island’s strength was still weak, unable to confront Divine Wood Island, so he had to take action personally.

Moreover, last time Yang Zhenshan merely wanted to open the shipping routes on the Divine Wood Island side, but this time was different. Yang Zhenshan intended to conquer Divine Wood Island, so naturally, he had to prepare well.

And since the Taro Dynasty was also involved, Yang Zhenshan needed the Tenglong Guard’s assistance even more.
