I Married the President

Chapter 449: Chapter 449: The Sweetest Dog Food

Claire Sinclair scrambled to open Weibo and, sure enough, on his personal page, she saw a photo. It was the one she thought was the most risqué of them all!

The moment he’d parted her lips with his...

The photo was paired with a caption: Didn’t want this to end.

Under the post, netizens went wild.

[I’m absolutely eating this up. Best PDA ever.]

[Just yesterday I was saying Claire Sinclair wasn’t good enough for Young Master Quincy, and today I’m eating my words. He kissed her so passionately—what more is there to say?]

[For some reason... I think they’re a perfect match.]

[Get together! You have my unconditional, eternal support!]

...

’It’s strange. If this photo had been posted on my account, it would have definitely drawn a lot of hate. But since he’s the one who posted it, there’s not a single negative comment.’

Claire Sinclair gave a resigned smile. ’Oh well, whatever.’

Claire Sinclair went back to WeChat and sent him a reply: ”I’ve decided not to contact you for the next month. You can just stare at that photo and miss me.”

Adrian Quincy: Claire...

Claire: ”Then it’s a deal. If you really miss me *that* much, you can come find me. I’m about to exit the airport, so I gotta go. Bye!”

Adrian Quincy: Alright.

Claire Sinclair put her phone away and walked toward the exit.

She’d been away for three months, and Adrian Quincy had arranged several bodyguards for her—some covert, some overt.

One of them was Landon Winston, who was not only in charge of her personal safety but was also on call 24/7.

Claire Sinclair got into the private car the production team sent to pick her up, dismissed the driver, and had Landon Winston take the wheel instead.

A cameraman sat in the front passenger seat while a director sat by Claire Sinclair’s side. The moment she got in the car, the cameras started rolling.

The director jumped right into the interview. ”So, any thoughts on your journey as a mentor for this show?”

Claire Sinclair smiled at the camera. ”I have just one thing to say: may love and justice always prevail.”

The director blinked, then chuckled. ”That’s very *Astoria Daily* of you.”

Claire Sinclair just smiled without another word.

As per the schedule, the production team first took Claire Sinclair to her hotel. After she dropped off her luggage, they headed to a studio to shoot her promotional photos and a personal promo video.

The production team had originally written a script for her promo video, but Claire Sinclair found it too formal and wrote her own: ”You chase your dreams, and I’m here to shake things up. But I have to tell you: talent without integrity won’t get you far. I’m Claire Sinclair, your Integrity Mentor.”

For promotional purposes, the video was posted online the very next day after filming.

She’d expected another wave of backlash, but surprisingly, there weren’t many negative comments. Most people actually supported her joining the show.

One user commented: ”I love this concept. Past competition shows were all for show. Just think of all those contestants who later got into trouble. If your character isn’t up to par, you have no business being an idol.”

Another wrote: ”It’s a weird idea, but I’m still really curious: how do you even test for ’artistic integrity’?”

How *do* you test for artistic integrity?

Of course, Claire Sinclair wasn’t just going to wing it. The production team had its own set of internal guidelines, and she, in turn, had her own rules. Everyone would find out once the competition began.

The first day of filming for *Dazzling Star* arrived as scheduled. Claire Sinclair arrived at the studio and finally, formally, took her seat with the other three mentors.

The two men, Mimi Fisher and Master, were both very courteous. They greeted her arrival with a friendly handshake.

The other female mentor, Cecily Taylor, however, was quite full of herself. The moment she met Claire, she shot her an arrogant look and even deliberately ignored Claire’s outstretched hand.

Claire’s hand was left hanging awkwardly in midair. She retracted it smoothly and looked away.
