Ghost Catching System

Cheng Hu was completely blindsided, his heart trembling with fear.

At that moment, the bus door opened, and a girl dressed in red boarded. Upon seeing Cheng Hu, she said ethereally, ”Hello.”

Cheng Hu breathed a sigh of relief; finally, a normal person. He said to the people in the live streaming room, ”That scared me to death, but there are still normal people around.”

The girl in red was very beautiful, and the more Cheng Hu looked at her, the more he liked her. He even thought about striking up a conversation.

Then, the girl in red took the initiative to ask, ”Does the Ghost Academy also admit living people? Are you a tour guide?”

The consecutive questions left Cheng Hu bewildered. He paused and said, ”What, what are you talking about?”

The girl in red shook her head and said, ”I’m a bit scared.”

Cheng Hu instinctively replied, ”Don’t be afraid, I’ll protect you.”

The girl in red shook her head again. ”I once harmed three people under the old locust tree. I don’t know if the academy will take me. I’m scared; I don’t want to be a wandering wild ghost anymore.”

As she spoke, the girl in red lowered her head, as if she were truly worried about something.

Upon hearing this, Cheng Hu was deeply troubled. His legs turned to jelly, and he replied with a feigned smile, trying not to show his fear, ”I, I don’t know either.”

Damn it! Where would I even find out? This bus is too terrifying; I need to get off.

Cheng Hu looked outside to find himself surrounded by wilderness and graves, which frightened him so much he nearly suffocated.

Inside the live streaming room, someone teased, ”I kinda admire the host now. If it were me, I couldn’t last three minutes.”

”With your guts, host, I’m sending you a tip; it’s just a small amount of money.”

”Holy crap! This is an opportunity, man. Hook up with the female ghost and bring her home, and I’ll tip you 10,000 RMB, not Live Streaming Coins.”

Reading these comments, Cheng Hu felt as if a herd of one hundred thousand grass-mud horses were stampeding through his heart.

Hook up with your sister! Come and try it yourself if you dare.

Cheng Hu was close to crying, terrified to the extreme, wishing desperately to get off the bus right then.

The journey was torturous. Cheng Hu didn’t dare to continue live streaming. Once the bus entered the city, he rushed off and ran without looking back.

After that day, Cheng Hu was seriously ill for a month. The bus had been full of ghosts, and he became afflicted with Ghost Qi. Later, a Yin-Yang Person performed a ritual for him, burning talismans that he drank, which made him feel a lot better.

Cheng Hu’s experience became known to many, and they realized this bus was not to be messed with—it was too frightening.

Chu Hao and the Ghost King Luo Dong, on the other hand, were grinning from ear to ear. After the advertisement went out, indeed, quite a few ghosts joined the Ghost Academy.

In just one week, they had gathered six or seven hundred ghosts, mostly wandering wild ghosts, as well as some fierce ghosts who had harmed people and couldn’t be reincarnated. For these fierce ghosts, the only solution was to diminish their malicious Qi.

”Ding... Host has completed 6% of the Ritian Sect establishment task, earning five million Experience Points.”

”Ding... Host has completed 6% of the Ritian Sect establishment task, earning 50,000 Merit Points.”

”Ding... Host has completed 6% of the Ritian Sect establishment task, obtaining one Diamond Treasure Chest.”

Chu Hao was overjoyed. Completing one percent in a week meant he could receive even more rewards as time went on.

So, Chu Hao started to advertise broadly, posting in every province and city across Huaxia Country, investing a lot of money.

Initially limited to some third-tier cities, the campaign was now national and on well-known TV stations, which caused a huge uproar.

Everyone was curious about what the Ghost Academy was like and who had established it.

As for the internet, all major forums and websites were buzzing with information, leading to loads of speculation and conjecture.

Some said it was a good thing. As the number of Yin-Yang People gradually increased, ghosts became less invisible. Having a place to go was naturally better, as it meant lesser chances of encountering ghosts while walking at night—a scenario probably nobody wished for.

Of course, there were also those who suspected a conspiracy, questioning whether the Ghost Academy, with its increasing number of ghosts, might become a powerful force on its own. But who would control them? Huaxia Country? Or perhaps those from Taoism?

Thus, some were keen to understand the Ghost Academy, especially those from Taoism.

For a month, Chu Hao busied himself with the construction of the Ghost Academy and didn’t attend film school at all, taking a complete leave and leaving his teachers speechless.

As more and more ghosts joined, it was natural for the Ghost Academy to establish some order; otherwise, management would be difficult.

That month, Chu Hao made a substantial harvest. He completed 10% of the task of establishing a superpower force, gaining a considerable amount of Experience Points, Pretentiousness Points, and Merit Points.

Pretentious Little Prince: Chu Hao

Level: 3

Experience Points: 32,000,000/40,000,000

Pretentiousness Points: 14,000 points

Mana Points: 45,000 points

Merit Points: 350,000

Treasure Chests: Diamond Treasure Chest*4, Golden Treasure Chest*2

He earned over two hundred thousand Merit Points.

However, after completing 10%, the Ghost Academy’s student count had reached 8,000.

Due to the large number, the original Ghost Academy could not accommodate so many. Ghost King Luo Dong began developing a new area, which would be completed quickly.

After all, this place was a small Underworld secret realm.

Yet, the activities of Chu Hao and the Ghost King were discovered by the Underworld.

The appearance of an academy in the Human World that absorbed ghosts disrupted some of the Underworld’s order, as many ghosts failed to report to the Underworld, leading to some confusion in its operations.

So, the Underworld sent a Ghost Officiant to investigate.

At first, ordinary Ghost Officiants went to investigate in the Human World. After they returned, the Underworld directly sent higher-ranking Ghost Officiants to look into the situation, assigning the task to Black and White Impermanence.

Among Ghost Officiants, Black and White Impermanence held a very high rank. However, Ghost Officiants were still Ghost Officiants and couldn’t be compared to the high echelons of the Underworld.

When Black and White Impermanence arrived, they were immediately invited by Ghost King Luo Dong to be guests.

At that time, Black and White Impermanence were taken aback by Luo Dong’s strength. A high-ranking Ghost King like him could surely land a good position if he went to the Underworld.

Luo Dong also contacted Chu Hao.

After Chu Hao arrived, White Impermanence was shocked, biting his tongue and speaking in a shrill voice, ”It’s you!”

Hei Wuchang, on the other hand, looked fierce as always. He wasn’t very talkative, but his eyes also showed a surprised expression.

Chu Hao hadn’t expected Black and White Impermanence to come to the Ghost Academy. He was also curious about what level of strength these two Ghost Officiants, so famous in the Human World, actually possessed.

Chu Hao assessed their combat strength.

Hei Wuchang’s combat strength showed 48,000; he was a high-ranking Ghost King.

White Impermanence’s combat strength showed 55,000; he was also a high-ranking Ghost King.

Damn! The usually smiling White Impermanence turned out to be so strong; his combat strength is even higher than Luo Dong’s.

However, Chu Hao’s current strength was also not low. If a fight really broke out, he and Luo Dong wouldn’t be afraid of them.

Though Luo Dong, as a Ghost King, carried himself with a cultivated and gentle demeanor, his true strength was likely greater than it appeared, given his ability to alter and even expand the Ghost School’s environment.

White Impermanence was surprised. He said with a smile, ”Did you establish the Ghost Academy?”

Chu Hao nodded. ”I set it up with Principal Luo. What brings you two here?”

Ghost King Luo Dong, despite his inherently fearsome aura, wore a broad smile; he wasn’t at all afraid of the two high-ranking Ghost Officiants.

White Impermanence said with a sigh, ”I always thought you would make a mark, but I never imagined it would surpass my, Bai Wuchang’s, judgment.”

Chu Hao said nothing, just watching him and waiting for what would come next.

Ghost King Luo Dong said, ”Since you’re both here, why not take a tour and offer some advice?”

Black and White Impermanence nodded in agreement.
