Ghost Catching System

Huaxia Country took action, and some Taoist institutions also began to follow suit.

Among them, the most famous ones like Longhu Mountain, Mao Mountain, Zhongnan Mountain, Qingcheng Mountain, and others established a new order.

After all, in modern perception, being a Taoist priest wasn’t highly regarded, and some still believed Taoist priests couldn’t marry, among other outdated concepts.

However, later, someone from Taoism, a young genius, conceived an idea to establish Taoist academies.

Zhongnan Mountain went even further, establishing an academy directly. They used modern architectural concepts combined with those of Taoist temple architecture. With this, they built the first Zhongnan Academy in Huaxia Country. The academy exclusively recruited Yin-Yang Persons and offered generous benefits that could make anyone envious.

After this news spread, other renowned Taoist mountains like Mao Mountain, Longhu Mountain, and Qingcheng Mountain began to emulate this.

Thus, news about the establishment of Maoshan Academy, Dragon-Tiger Academy, Zhongnan Academy, Qingcheng Academy, and so forth started to appear.

Chu Hao couldn’t help but feel moved when he saw the news about Taoism establishing academies.

Who exactly is the genius that came up with this idea? It’s so ingenious, Chu Hao had to express his admiration.

Chu Hao pondered, Should I also invest in such a school? After all, Yin-Yang Persons might be crucial for future developments. The name would be Ritian Academy. That could help me complete my task of establishing a superpower, couldn’t it?

After thinking it over, he shook his head. Too many people are emulating it. Many consortiums in Huaxia Country are probably starting to found academies. If I were to do it, my power is far from comparable to those Taoist groups, and I could only recruit less desirable candidates, he thought.

However, Chu Hao had another idea. If humans can be recruited as students, why can’t ghosts? I’m the vice principal and a major shareholder of the Ghost School. Besides, isn’t the Ghost School already under construction?

To fulfill the task of establishing the Ritian Sect, Chu Hao went all out. He took a long leave to return to Anli City and find the Ghost King in the spectral penitentiary.

The Ghost King was still the same: terrifying in appearance but undoubtedly a ghost with ideals. This time, upon Chu Hao’s return, he could finally see its strength.

Previously, when Chu Hao assessed Ghost King Luo Dong, his strength value was displayed as ’????’. Now, it showed 50,000.

What the hell! Chu Hao thought. This guy is a high-ranking Ghost King? So formidable!

A low-ranking Ghost King was like the Black Water Ghost King. Chu Hao had never encountered a mid-ranking Ghost King. And Luo Dong was actually a high-ranking Ghost King.

When Luo Dong saw Chu Hao, he was particularly affectionate, grabbing Chu Hao and insisting on going to help a group of ghosts achieve salvation by sending them to reincarnate.

Chu Hao said, ”Not so fast. I have some important matters to discuss with you, Ghost King.”

Ghost King Luo Dong replied, ”What ’Ghost King’? I’ve already told you to call me Principal. ’Vice Principal’ is too formal.”

Look at that! Such high standards from this Ghost King, unlike the Black Water Ghost King, who was so fierce and vicious, Chu Hao mused.

After Chu Hao shared his thoughts with Ghost King Luo Dong, the Ghost Principal’s eyes brightened. However, he soon frowned and said, ”Ghosts aren’t like human society. How will they come from such distant places?”

Chu Hao said, ”I’ve thought about it. We can create a website, publish the school’s address, and establish a real Ghost School.”

Ghost King Luo Dong scratched his head and asked, ”Will it work?”

Chu Hao also felt it was a bit unreliable. After all, ghosts aren’t humans. Do they even use the internet?

”How will we know if we don’t try?” Chu Hao declared.

Chu Hao immediately contacted Liu Qingyan to develop a website. He spent a fortune on advertising and even found a TV station, paying them to run advertisements.

The advertising slogan was also Chu Hao’s brainchild:

”Are you still troubled by being a wandering wild ghost? Are you still suffering from looking for people to take your place for reincarnation? Five words drift down from the sky: ’That’s no problem at all!’ Ghost Academy opens its doors for you, offering free enrollment to fulfill your dreams.”

”Follow our WeChat public account jie****123, where you’ll find all the information you’re curious about. Leave your application and address, and our private car will personally pick you up.”

When Liu Qingyan saw this ad copy, she was completely flabbergasted. Chairman, what on earth are you up to?

After finding out the details, an utterly confused Liu Qingyan said, ”Chairman, what... what is this all about? Is our Ritian Group recruiting ghosts now?”

Chu Hao waved his hand dismissively. ”Just do as I say. The advertisement must be spot-on. Stuff those TV stations with money. Also, with the New Year just around the corner, get those celebrities to advertise for us.”

Liu Qingyan was at a loss for words.

Chu Hao added, ”My initial plan for advertising costs is to invest one hundred million.”

DING!

Host successfully showed off, gained 3000 Pretentiousness Points.

Liu Qingyan’s mind was buzzing. The Chairman must have lost his mind! If such an advertisement is released, it will probably create a huge mess! she thought.

Liu Qingyan had no choice but to comply. The advertisement was published on the first day.

Anli City and Longxi City saw the first wave of advertising roll out.

”Are you still troubled by being a wandering wild ghost? Are you still suffering from looking for people to take your place for reincarnation? Five words drift down from the sky: ’That’s no problem at all!’ Ghost Academy opens its doors to you, offering free enrollment to fulfill your dreams.”

Upon seeing this ad, the internet and the public blew up.

Someone commented, ”Holy crap! This is defying the heavens, isn’t it? Those Dragon-Tiger Academy, Zhongnan Mountain, and other such academies are one thing, but damn, there’s actually an academy specifically recruiting ghosts!”

”You’ve got to hand it to them. Who on earth came up with this? It’s pure genius.”

”I’ve already followed the WeChat account, and they really are recruiting ghosts. Damn! They even provide a private car to pick you up.”

”Hehe... A car full of ghosts! I can’t even begin to imagine the scene.”

Netizens were in an uproar; the news was truly shocking. Recruiting ghosts for a school? What kind of mindset was behind this?

Ever since the appearance of Yin-Yang Persons, more and more people had started to believe in ghosts.

When it came to ghosts, people were generally curious and afraid. Now that someone was recruiting ghosts, things had changed, openly confirming their existence.

Some live streamers, curious to see if it was true, signed up and waited for three days. Indeed, someone came to pick them up.

In the middle of the night, a young man named Cheng Hu got into the car, streaming live on his phone. He looked around and saw the car was empty. He then joked in the video, ”There’s no such thing as ghosts; it’s all a scam.”

As soon as the car door closed, Cheng Hu felt a chill creep over him.

Cheng Hu was still streaming when comments started flooding the chat.

”HOLY MOLY, that scared the crap out of me. I nearly threw my phone!”

”DUDE! Turn around and look behind you!”

”DAMN, there really are ghosts!”

Perplexed, Cheng Hu turned around, but he saw nothing. However, the chat in his live streaming room was going wild.

Cheng Hu felt uneasy. These people can’t all be tricking me, can they? he thought. So, he switched the direction of his phone’s camera. What he saw nearly made him drop his phone in horror.

The screen displayed the image of a bus filled, row after row, with figures. Everyone had their heads lowered, as if asleep.

Their faces were deathly pale, almost as if covered in white powder.

Cheng Hu’s heart quivered. He slowly turned around but still saw no ghosts. The seats were as empty as ever. The ghosts only appeared on the phone’s video display.

Cheng Hu was scared stiff and said, trembling, ”WHIMPER... I want to get off! This isn’t the bus to kindergarten!”
