Ghost Catching System

Lin Zhou, a Chinese descendant from Europe and America, came to Huaxia Film Academy in pursuit of Yi Qinglian. However, on the first day of the freshmen’s meeting, Yi Qinglian confessed her love for someone else. How could he not be shocked and angry?

At first, he’d thought Chu Hao might also be an outstanding person. But now, looking closer, how could this plain young man possibly compare to him?

Lin Zhou asked, ”Are you Yi Qinglian’s boyfriend?”

Chu Hao looked at Lin Zhou and said, ”Yes, I am. Any problem with that?”

The problem was huge. Currently, the whole school and the media were searching for this Chu Hao, and here he was, right in front of them. How could they not be surprised?

The name Chu Hao had become utterly famous, shrouded in mystery, and everyone wanted to know who he was.

Feng Gao muttered, ”If I went out and told people you’re here right now, I could make quite a bit of money, couldn’t I?”

Teng Jin awkwardly said, ”Bro, don’t mind him. This news is just too sudden; I’m still trying to process it.”

Lin Zhou breathed a sigh of relief. I still have a chance, he thought. This was his first time seeing Chu Hao, and he didn’t find him particularly impressive. Although he has all the typical masculine traits, I’m definitely better than him.

Lin Zhou earnestly said, ”Chu Hao, I want to compete with you fairly.”

Chu Hao asked, ”Compete for what?”

Lin Zhou seriously said, ”For the position of Yi Qinglian’s boyfriend.”

Seriously, is there something wrong with this guy’s head? Chu Hao thought. He just waltzes up to me, wanting a ”fair competition” for my girlfriend! Compete with your sister! As if I’d actually agree to let him compete fairly—Brother Hao isn’t that nice.

Chu Hao said, ”You want to chase my girlfriend, and you’re talking to me about competing fairly? Did you drink too much Sanlu milk powder? It seems I ought to teach you a lesson.”

Lin Zhou raised an eyebrow, his handsome face showing clear dissatisfaction.

In my opinion, fair competition is still an option, Lin Zhou thought. After all, my capabilities are obvious.

The atmosphere instantly became awkward.

Feng Gao said, ”Hey, we’re all roommates here. Let’s not start things off like this on our first meeting.”

Lin Zhou wouldn’t give up. He said, ”I will do as I see fit, regardless of what others say. I came here for Yi Qinglian, and I will love her more than you do.”

Both Teng Jin and Feng Gao felt Lin Zhou was going too far. The couple was already together; how could he declare his love for her right in front of her boyfriend? Wasn’t he just asking for a beating?

Chu Hao looked at Lin Zhou as if he were an idiot and asked, ”Does she even know you?”

Lin Zhou arrogantly replied, ”She doesn’t, but she will soon.”

Chu Hao said, ”I’ll give you a chance for her to get to know you.”

Teng Jin and Feng Gao watched Chu Hao in amazement. Seriously? He has a way to handle this?

They then saw Chu Hao take out his cell phone, call Yi Qinglian, and say, ”There’s a guy named Lin Zhou. He says he wants to pursue you and even told me to my face that he wants to compete fairly. Qinglian, dear, do you want to meet him?”

Then, he put the phone on speaker.

Yi Qinglian’s voice came through, ”Someone trying to steal my boyfriend? No, I don’t want to meet him.”

PFFT! Chu Hao nearly burst out laughing. Looks like Yi Qinglian is quite the wit! he thought.

Damn it! Lin Zhou instantly fell apart, feeling dizzy.

Both Teng Jin and Feng Gao were speechless. Lin Zhou, you really asked for it, getting slammed by the couple’s public display of affection like that!

Lin Zhou was furious and choked out, ”You!”

Chu Hao hung up the phone, looking innocent, and asked, ”What did I do?”

It took a good while before Lin Zhou managed to force out, ”You... you went too far!”

Chu Hao replied, ”Oh? How did I go too far? Do tell.”

Lin Zhou suddenly realized he had nothing to say. After all, he was the intruder here, saying such things right after meeting them. Despite my gentlemanly demeanor, I really want to punch this guy! he fumed internally.

Chu Hao said, ”Actually, I don’t need to waste my breath on you. I could just be a brute and beat you up.”

Lin Zhou snapped angrily, ”You wouldn’t dare!”

Chu Hao stepped closer. ”You think I wouldn’t dare?”

With those words, he walked towards Lin Zhou.

Lin Zhou sneered. I may be a gentleman, but I’ve trained in boxing! He threw a straight punch.

I’m confident this punch will drop him instantly. He’ll be in the hospital for at least three to five days, no problem! Lin Zhou thought.

However, his punch hit nothing but air as Chu Hao deftly dodged to the side. Chu Hao didn’t strike back with his fist; instead, his shoulder collided with Lin Zhou’s chest. Lin Zhou felt an immense force, sending him flying backward to crash against the wall. He spat out a mouthful of blood.

Lin Zhou’s chest felt as if it had been smashed by a rock, and the pain made him scream aloud.

The other two were stunned.

Teng Jin, the aspiring screenwriter, exclaimed, ”Was that Tai Chi’s ’four ounces deflecting a thousand pounds’?!”

Chu Hao’s movements just now had indeed resembled Tai Chi.

Chu Hao said indifferently, ”You have three seconds to get out of my sight.”

DING... Host has forcefully flexed, gaining 3,000 Pretentiousness Points.

Lin Zhou was furious inside, but now that he was injured and feeling a dull pain in his chest, he was in no condition to confront Chu Hao further and had to leave in disgrace.

After Lin Zhou left, Feng Gao finally said, ”Impressive, dude! I’ve been fed up with that Lin Zhou for a long time. Who does he think he is, acting all high and mighty every day?”

It turned out that Lin Zhou was indeed a very arrogant person in front of them. His arrogance gave the impression that he looked down on everyone and was incredibly intolerant, as if he couldn’t stand even a speck of dust in his eye.

Teng Jin also said, ”Thinking he’s so great just because he has a bit of stinking money, and even wanting to ’compete fairly’ for someone else’s girlfriend. He was just asking for a beating.”

Lin Zhou had indeed gone too far, and neither of them spoke up for him.

Chu Hao didn’t care; Lin Zhou was just a clown in his eyes. He said, ”Looks like it’s just the three of us in the dormitory now.”

”No big deal. Let’s go grab something to eat together,” Feng Gao said, draping his arm over Chu Hao’s shoulder. This slightly chubby guy was truly a natural at getting friendly with people.

At that moment, Chu Hao’s phone rang. It was Li Yin calling.

Chu Hao teased, ”Well, well, Mr. Busy Man. You still have time to call me?”

Li Yin, on the other end, didn’t fall for the teasing. Their relationship was rock solid. ”Never mind me,” he said. ”You’re the one who’s really hit it big now! The screen goddess confessed to you! You’re really in for it.”

Chu Hao said, ”It’s no big deal.”

Li Yin asked, ”Where are you?”

”At the dorm building.”

”Which room?”

After Chu Hao told him his location, Li Yin arrived quickly. Tall and well-built from working out for his acting roles, his appearance had improved so dramatically that he’d transformed from a self-proclaimed ’loser’ into someone with the aura of a tall, rich, and handsome man.

He arrived looking pleased as punch, his filming part wrapped up, and his attire had changed considerably.

After arriving, Li Yin said, ”Your dorm only has three people? Save a spot for me; I’m going to ask the teacher for a room transfer right now.”

The four of them then went to have a meal together.

Compared to Lin Zhou, Li Yin was much easier to get along with; he was another one of those naturally friendly types who warmed up to people instantly.

Meanwhile, Lin Zhou left the dorm in shame, having someone else fetch his belongings. He couldn’t bear to stay there any longer, but the rage in his heart was screaming for an outlet.

Lin Zhou thought coldly, Chu Hao, just you wait. I’m not the only one who came to this school for Yi Qinglian. I’d like to see how you handle the rest of us.

Lin Zhou had a plan. He called a friend to prepare some materials to expose Chu Hao’s identity to everyone. That way, he wouldn’t have to go to the trouble himself; others would soon be lining up to cause problems for Chu Hao.

After arranging everything, Lin Zhou sneered. Fight me? I’ll play you till you’re dead, he thought viciously.

He rubbed his chest, where the sharp pain fueled his anger even more.
