Ghost Catching System

Chu Hao quietly grabbed the middle-aged driver and said, ”Are you out of your mind? I know she’s very beautiful, but that’s all an illusion. Be careful, or you might get your eyes gouged out.”

But the middle-aged driver said, ”Don’t you think this demon... this Great Immortal, seems different somehow?”

”Different how?”

The middle-aged driver scratched his head. ”How should I put it? Before, she gave off the vibe of Evil Spirits and Demons, but now, she feels like a person.”

Hearing this, Chu Hao couldn’t help but look at the Heavenly Bone Woman walking ahead.

The Heavenly Bone Woman walked ahead, her figure graceful and anything but fragile. Her voluptuous curves and well-proportioned physique formed a golden ratio many women dreamed of. Just looking at her was remarkably soothing; she exuded such sanctity, such nobility.

Chu Hao also watched with keen interest, saying, ”If you hadn’t mentioned it, I wouldn’t have noticed. But that silhouette... it gives me the urge to, uh, knock her down.”

The middle-aged driver quickly moved away from Chu Hao, pretending he hadn’t heard.

The Heavenly Bone Woman turned her head. ”It seems I may need to cut out someone’s tongue.”

Chu Hao quickly said, ”Great Immortal Bai Gu, you’ve misunderstood! In our era, ’to knock someone down’ is a term of respect.”

”Is that so? Quite an interesting expression.”

The middle-aged driver couldn’t help but give Chu Hao a thumbs-up for his quick wit.

Internally, Chu Hao was relieved. All those years of fortune-telling under the bridge, saying things against his conscience, were finally paying off.

「Back in Anli City」

The Heavenly Bone Woman was like a ticking time bomb. The Seventh District was greatly distressed, and S-Level Demon Exorcists had come to thoroughly despise her. However, the Seventh District no longer dared to provoke her. Chu Hao had also spread rumors that the Heavenly Bone Woman’s strength had increased again, to the point where it was estimated that not even a missile could kill her.

This incident, coupled with media reports, caused a social uproar. In this modern era, many people found it hard to accept; some outright refused to believe it, dismissing it all as mere propaganda. However, the various sects of Huaxia Country, the Evil Cults, and the Third-rate Nine Teachings could all sense that a new era was dawning. Yin and Yang would manifest in the world, no longer hidden. Some began to recruit believers, preparing for the future.

Longhu Mountain and Mao Mountain were greatly troubled by this. The Heavenly Bone Woman was an extremely terrifying entity. The annals of Longhu Mountain recorded that even Zhang Daoling could not kill her; he could only manage to subjugate her. There were even rumors that in a distant ancient era, the Heavenly Bone Woman had once been hunted by the Heavenly Court, yet they had failed to capture her. These various legends drastically elevated the Heavenly Bone Woman’s status. Some even claimed she alone could confront the entirety of Mao Mountain and Longhu Mountain.

This was no exaggeration. The Heavenly Bone Woman was an Evil Demon who had clashed with Master Zhang. What the world didn’t know was that in those days, Zhang Daoling had merely been on the receiving end of beatings. They were even unaware that seventy percent of Zhang Daoling’s Heaven-reach abilities had been taught to him by the Heavenly Bone Woman.

Of course, Chu Hao was unaware of these matters.

Chu Hao was troubled, wondering where to take the Heavenly Bone Woman.

The Sanqing Pavilion is out of the question. If the Heavenly Bone Woman meets Diao Chan or those ”open-minded” women and finds out I’ve deceived her... the consequences would be unimaginable! But this wouldn’t stump me; don’t I still have a villa?

Although he was reluctant, he had no choice but to arrange for the Heavenly Bone Woman to stay there.

The villa, worth two hundred million, boasted an impeccable environment and was equipped with the latest facilities. The Heavenly Bone Woman surveyed her surroundings, nodded slightly, and said, ”This place is acceptable. From now on, this will be my residence in the mortal realm. It’s just a bit too empty; there aren’t enough people.”

She wants to live with other people? Seriously? Who would dare live with you?

The Heavenly Bone Woman raised her hand, gesturing with a commanding air, and said to Chu Hao, ”You will be the steward here. Hmm! And you are called?”

The middle-aged driver quickly replied, ”My name is Wang Qing.”

The Heavenly Bone Woman nodded. ”From this day forward, you shall be my Coachman.”

Hey, hey... Did you even ask how we feel about this?

Feeling disgruntled, Chu Hao took a deep breath. Bowing and scraping, he said, ”Steward sounds good.”

The middle-aged driver looked at Chu Hao speechlessly and then said with a complete lack of backbone, ”Yes, Great Immortal.”

The Heavenly Bone Woman twirled a strand of her long grey hair around her finger. Her hair was so distinctive, yet it looked perfectly natural. ”Steward,” she said, ”go and find some servants. Also, find some tutors.”

Ha! What does she want tutors for? Don’t tell me that when she’s lonely at night, she plans to amuse herself by absorbing human Yang Qi? Both men thought of this and couldn’t help but shudder.

The Heavenly Bone Woman stated, ”Having been away from the mortal world for millennia, I must adapt to local customs.”

So the ’tutors’ she mentioned were actual teachers.

Chu Hao looked at Wang Qing, the Coachman, and said, ”I’ll leave this matter to you.”

Wang Qing wasn’t stupid. His ability to drive for them and his standing within the Seventh District meant he wasn’t ordinary. He immediately understood Chu Hao’s implication: find people, perhaps even to monitor the Heavenly Bone Woman. This is a good idea. Until they found a way to deal with the Heavenly Bone Woman, monitoring her was the best they could do.

Wang Qing immediately said, ”I’ll arrange it at once.”

Wang Qing left.

Seeing Chu Hao looking sullen, the Heavenly Bone Woman asked, ”Steward, do you have something you wish to say?”

What can I say? Watching my villa being given away like this... My heart aches! Such a fine mansion, now occupied by an Evil Demon. How could I possibly be in a good mood? No! This was originally the Seventh District’s problem. When I get back, I’ll talk to Old Man Yuan about compensation!

Chu Hao said, ”I was just wondering, how long does Great Immortal Bai Gu intend to stay?”

The Heavenly Bone Woman, having lived for so long, naturally knew what Chu Hao was thinking. She said indifferently, ”That depends on my mood.”

What can I say? What do you expect me to say?

The Heavenly Bone Woman added, ”By the way, in front of mortals, there’s no need to call me Great Immortal Bai Gu. Just call me Bai Ling.”

It seems the Heavenly Bone Woman plans to stay in the mortal world for a long time.

Chu Hao suddenly realized that with Bai Ling around, he was in for a tragic time. Not only could he not defeat her, but he would also have to constantly flatter her. This is too unbearable!

”Where is the bathroom?”

Chu Hao said, ”This way.”

Bai Ling went to bathe. Just as Chu Hao was about to leave, Bai Ling called out, ”Don’t go.”

Chu Hao stopped in his tracks. What does she mean? She’s taking a bath and she’s not letting me leave?

Bai Ling said coolly, ”Wait here. You will help me change my clothes.”

Chu Hao looked at Bai Ling—curvaceous where she should be, slender where appropriate. He struggled internally. I clearly know she isn’t human, so why do I feel so... thrilled? Damn it, Brother Hao, you’re not becoming a pervert, are you?

Chu Hao stammered, ”I... I’m a grown man. How can I help you change your clothes?”

If it were someone else, like Yi Qinglian or Diao Chan, I’d be eager to help them change. A lovers’ bath together would be even better! But with Bai Ling, I, Brother Hao, have to be cautious. If I see something I shouldn’t while helping her change, will she gouge out my eyes? Yes, this must be a trap!

Bai Ling’s eyes, calm as still water, clear yet icy, fixed on him. ”You are mine. You must do whatever I command.”

This Evil Demon! She really treats me, Brother Hao, like a servant!
