Li Yin’s mouth hung open. ”Mu Xiaohua, it’s really wild to hear you say another girl is okay.”

”Hmph! I just value her character; that doesn’t mean she can surpass me in looks,” Mu Yuxun said haughtily, straightening her back.

Women, they truly are terrifying.

”Brother Hao, since the opponent really does have a scheme, what do we do now?” Li Yin asked.

Mu Yuxun also chimed in, ”Yeah! We’ve already accepted the challenge. Should we just ignore them?”

Chu Hao replied indifferently, ”Do you think I’d be scared?”

Huh… It seemed Chu Hao had never been afraid of anyone.

After Qiu Shanyezi left, a man from the Dwarf Kingdom, who had been monitoring her, immediately called Qi Zhongyu. Speaking in Japanese, he said, ”Lord Qi Zhongyu, Qiu Shanyezi has defected.”

On the other end, Qi Zhongyu shouted angrily, ”That woman! How dare she ruin my plans! Bring her to me.”

”Yes.”

The next day, the duel was about to begin.

A huge crowd of onlookers had gathered at the basketball court to witness the so-called Yin Yang Master duel.

It was said that quite a few reporters had arrived. The provocation by the Dwarf Kingdom intern had recently become a hot topic, angering many ardent patriots and even those not typically so passionate.

This duel was about more than just the school’s reputation; it was a matter of pride between the two nations.

A large number of students filled the entire indoor basketball court. Many even spotted some high-ranking officials—deputy district mayors, deputy bureau chiefs, and other such dignitaries.

These were people typically only seen on Anli City’s local channels. Many had come out today, and the school’s principal was personally receiving them.

Qi Zhongyu arrived, accompanied by a group of students in black high school uniforms. Facing the hostile glares from the entire stadium, they remained indifferent.

Qi Zhongyu was very effeminate. If he were to dress in women’s clothes, no one would mistake him for a man.

Today, he wore a traditional Dwarf Kingdom kimono, decorated with a Taiji Yin-Yang pattern—the distinctive mark of a Yin Yang Master.

Qi Zhongyu not only wanted to subdue Chu Hao but also intended to promote the Yin Yang culture of the Dwarf Kingdom, letting the world know it was not to be underestimated.

Many people from the Seventh District had also arrived. Someone couldn’t help but ask, ”Director Yuan, his high-profile promotion of Yin Yang Masters... won’t it cause societal problems?”

Ghosts, demons, evil spirits—in the eyes of ordinary people, these are intangible and elusive entities. If Yin Yang Masters are promoted so publicly, isn’t it tantamount to announcing to the world that, besides the living, many other inconceivable beings exist?

Old Yuan shook his head. ”Times have changed. The highest echelons of the Seventh District have released an important message: people have the right to know what kind of world they live in. Otherwise, do you think these reporters could have gotten in?”

Indeed, quite a few reporters were present today. An event like a Yin Yang Master duel normally wouldn’t be allowed public exposure.

However, the Seventh District had not stopped them. Didn’t that mean this duel might expose the existence of gods and ghosts?

Upon hearing Old Yuan’s words, the others were visibly shocked.

They were well aware of the societal consequences if the existence of such entities was revealed. Would it change how ordinary people perceived the world? Or would terror spread throughout society?

Someone hurriedly asked, ”Old Yuan, why do this?”

Director Yuan replied earnestly, ”Just a short while ago, Master Zhou Taiyi prophesied that something significant was about to happen, something that could potentially change the entire epoch. For this, the master expended twenty years of his lifespan.”

Zhou Taiyi, Huaxia Country’s most famous master of mysticism, was renowned for his predictions—if he claimed his divinatory arts were second best, no one would dare claim first.

A momentous event that could change the epoch! What kind of event could that be?

Old Yuan spoke gravely, ”Therefore, in the future, the Seventh District might also be exposed to the public eye. Gods, ghosts, demons, Evil Spirits—these things will be fully revealed.”

”What?” The crowd was extremely shaken by this news.

If it really were exposed, would ordinary people be able to accept it? But even if they couldn’t, what could be done?

Legends of gods and ghosts have existed since ancient times. The belief in ghosts, more so than other fantastical notions, has been deeply ingrained in the human psyche from antiquity to the present day.

Qi Zhongyu sat in his chair, waiting quietly.

Finally, a figure appeared, and all eyes focused on him.

Chu Hao had finally arrived.

However, his entrance was much more low-key than Qi Zhongyu’s. He was dressed casually, resembling a passerby, with an air of unassuming plainness about him.

With a loud roar, Wang Qi led his Shamate team forward, raising a large banner and waving it as they shouted excitedly, ”Brother Hao, crush him!”

”For generations to come, Brother Hao will unite the underworld!”

”Brother Hao is mighty and badass! Waste that little devil!”

Chu Hao’s entrance was met with cheers, the scene reminiscent of a boxing ring, both thrilling and exciting.

”That’s Chu Hao, the renowned figure from our school.”

Many reporters pressed their camera shutters, taking photographs. Some said skeptically, ”Wait, is this young man a Yin Yang Master? What exactly is a Yin Yang Master?”

”Why not go ask and find out.”

Several reporters went forward, approaching Qi Zhongyu and Chu Hao respectively.

”Classmate Qi Zhongyu, what exactly is a Yin Yang Master?” a male reporter asked.

Seeing it was a reporter, Qi Zhongyu, a soft smile on his effeminate face, replied, ”A Yin Yang Master is a sorcerer who has mastered the Tao of Yin and Yang, understands how to observe the stars and read faces, can determine auspicious locations and foretell disasters, draws talismans, utters incantations, performs Mystical Arts, and exorcises ghosts and demons.”

The reporters took out their pens and quickly scribbled down his words.

Qi Zhongyu continued, ”In the Dwarf Kingdom, being a Yin Yang Master was once a profession that flourished for an era. His Majesty the Emperor derived spiritual peace and national security from Yin Yang Masters, while the common people found solace for their arduous lives in them.”

The reporter then asked, ”So, what are the origins of Yin Yang Masters?”

Qi Zhongyu replied, ”Yin Yang Masters naturally originated in my Yamato Country.”

Hearing Qi Zhongyu assert this so confidently, the reporter couldn’t help but counter, ”Online records indicate that the profession of Yin Yang Master originated in Huaxia Country.”

Qi Zhongyu waved his hand dismissively. ”What’s online is merely baseless talk.”

He really has some nerve!

The reporter approached Chu Hao and asked, ”Classmate Chu Hao, what is a Yin Yang Master?”

Chu Hao stated indifferently, ”I am a Yin Yang Master.”

”Then did Yin Yang Masters originate in Yamato Country or Huaxia Country?”

Chu Hao looked at the reporter. ”Does it matter? True Yin Yang Masters don’t concern themselves with borders. The words of the strong are what count. I’ll show that effeminate little devil that not just anyone can be a Yin Yang Master.”

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, the two stepped onto the platform. Tension filled the air.

Chu Hao asked, ”How do you want to compete?”

With a cold expression, Qi Zhongyu replied, ”The first contest: drawing talismans.”
