Ghost Catching System

They still didn’t know that the Seal Devil Altar did indeed house an Evil Spirit. However, within the Seal Devil Altar, another demon was sealed: the ghost prisoner.

What exactly the ghost prisoner was, Chu Hao didn’t know yet, but it was definitely a very terrifying Ghost Monster King from ancient times.

The crowd had been evacuated, and nearly no one remained on the basketball court as the school personnel also began to retreat.

Old Yuan hurriedly asked, ”Master Chu, what should we do now?”

Chu Hao looked toward Zhongjin and the others. These interns from the Dwarf Kingdom were already shivering with fear, and asking them probably wouldn’t yield any information.

Chu Hao said indifferently, ”The Yin Yang families from the Dwarf Kingdom clearly have a conspiracy. They’ve unleashed such a monster. This Taoist Master dares to assert that if the ghost prisoner breaks the seal of the Seal Devil Altar, it will be a calamity for all living beings.”

Old Yuan’s face turned ghastly. Even Chu Hao said it would be a calamity for all living beings. Just how terrifying was the ghost prisoner?

Chu Hao felt a headache coming on. Would he have to use the Ten Thousand Buddhas Soul Sealing Spell again? That spell consumed a great deal of energy, and using it meant he could possibly faint.

If it failed, I’m done for.

Old Yuan quickly said, ”Master Chu, the people from Longhu Mountain and Mao Mountain, as well as the S-Level Demon Exorcists from the Seventh District, are already on their way here.”

Chu Hao pondered and replied, ”They are coming! Yes, they should be arriving soon.”

Perhaps, by joining forces, we can kill the ghost prisoner. Never underestimate Longhu Mountain and Mao Mountain. With a thousand-year heritage, Longhu Mountain is the orthodox sect of Taoist demon slayers, and Mao Mountain is also a paramount master in exorcising ghosts.

Chu Hao felt a bit helpless. Me, the King of Show-offs, having to join forces with others? Forget it, if we must join forces then we will. A wise man does not fight when the odds are against him. Once we get through this, Brother Hao, I’ll still be invincible, he thought to himself cheerfully.

As he indulged in these thoughts, three to four hours passed, and there was no activity from the Seal Devil Altar. Heaven only knew what the ghost prisoner was doing inside.

During this time, many special police arrived and sealed off the entire school. The area for several kilometers around was blockaded.

With such a big event occurring, the public couldn’t help but be concerned. Everyone was curious about what had happened at Xingmeng High School.

A female reporter named Little Xin returned to her company with extremely important news material.

After reviewing it, her boss gasped in shock.

A colleague asked, ”Boss, do we broadcast this?”

The boss wasn’t foolish. Having worked in news for so long, he knew that some things should not be broadcast haphazardly, lest the people above decide to end him.

He still made a call to ask for guidance from those above. The person he consulted was naturally someone from the nation’s upper echelon.

From the other side of the phone, the voice said, ”I need to check.”

The boss was shocked. This person was a big shot, a figure of great power, and even they needed to check. Who else was there to ask?

After a short while, the boss received another call. The person on the other end said, ”Go ahead and broadcast it. A new era has dawned.”

The boss was ecstatic.

Once the news was broadcast, it caused a huge stir and disbelief among the masses.

”Next, we’re breaking into our scheduled programming with an important news bulletin. At 3:54 PM this afternoon, Yin Yang Masters were engaged in a contest at Star Dream High School. The following video footage is absolutely authentic.”

This news was broadcast on the screens of many buildings, and the video was released.

”No way! Is this for real?”

”What is that three-meter-tall thing? It can actually sever a person’s shadow.”

”Yin Yang Masters... do gods and ghosts really exist in this world?”

”It’s fake, right?”

The news broadcast immediately caused a huge stir. In many places, not only ordinary people but also members of other factions saw the news, excitedly proclaiming, ”A new era has arrived.”

On the television, the female anchor said, ”Now, Anli City’s Star Dream High School has already been sealed off by a special organization. Citizens are advised to stay away.”

After the broadcast of the news, the impact was immense. Beyond any doubt, airing this news indicated that Huaxia Country had initially confirmed the existence of gods and ghosts.

In fact, gods, ghosts, and demons had already been deeply rooted in people’s hearts for a long time. Ghosts, especially, have been the subject of legends for many years, suggesting that these things truly exist.

Of course, there were those who didn’t believe. After all, the state had not released any news, and this was just a news channel from a municipal city.

「Back to Star Dream High School.」

It had been five hours, and there was still no movement from the Seal Devil Altar.

The people from Longhu Mountain were the first to arrive.

A group of disciples from Longhu Mountain came, along with an old man from Longhu Mountain. The elder was very old, said to be a hundred years old, yet he appeared like someone in their seventies or eighties. He was a patriarchal figure from Longhu Mountain, named Zhang Genshu.

Accompanying Zhang Genshu were disciples, both middle-aged and young. Among the latter was Yue Qinghong, the senior disciple of Longhu Mountain.

When Yue Qinghong saw Chu Hao, he was first taken aback, and then unconvinced.

Last time, the two had competed to see who could subdue the European and American Spider Spirit. As a result of Yue Qinghong’s carelessness, Chu Hao had stolen the spotlight.

Moreover, Yue Qinghong had competed against someone else; if he had won, it would have been fine, but the key was that he lost. He was sternly reprimanded by his elders and punished by being banned from leaving the mountain.

The people from Longhu Mountain had only been there for a minute when the people from Mao Mountain’s Taoism also arrived.

Mao Mountain, the birthplace of the Shangqing Sect, had always been at odds with Longhu Mountain.

The leader was also a very old elder, leaning on a cane and sporting a goatee. His eyes were keen and bright, and he wore a yellow Taoist robe.

”Uncle Master Gen Shu, you’ve actually come. My apologies for not greeting you sooner,” this elder said, seeing the centenarian Zhang Genshu, and gave a slight bow.

Zhang Genshu nodded and said, ”Qing Ming, it is fitting that Mao Mountain sent you. With your level of Taoist practice, you are indeed capable of suppressing great dangers.”

”With Uncle Master here, how could I presume to suppress dangers? You jest, Uncle Master,” Qing Ming replied.

The two old men continued to exchange compliments for a moment. Then Zhang Genshu said, ”Let’s go take a look at what is peculiar about that altar.”

A group of people came to the front of the altar. It looked very ordinary. Some even began to doubt what the Seventh District had said.

Zhang Genshu certainly had skill; he exclaimed, ”The Seal Devil Altar!”

Qing Ming saluted with his hands and asked, ”Uncle Master, what is this Seal Devil Altar?”

At eighty years of age, he had seen many things, but even he had never come across a Seal Devil Altar.

Even Chu Hao came closer, keen on understanding more about the Seal Devil Altar—after all, he didn’t even know what the blasted thing was.

Zhang Genshu said, ”Legend has it that thousands of years ago, the ancestral Taoist Master Zhang Daoling used an altar to seal demons and ghosts.”

Upon hearing about the ancestor Zhang Daoling, the crowd stirred, and the younger disciples were thrilled. Zhang Daoling was the founder of Longhu Mountain, after all.

Zhang Genshu’s expression became extremely solemn as he continued, ”Our ancestor once sealed a great Evil Demon. I do not know its exact name, but this demon was extremely formidable. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, it slaughtered countless beings.”

”Out of compassion, our ancestor finally used the Seal Devil Altar to seal the great Evil Demon, and that’s how peace was restored to the world.”

On hearing this, Chu Hao curled his lip and said, ”Out of compassion! It was because he couldn’t kill the demon that he sealed it, right?”

The crowd turned their heads to look at him, and the people from Longhu Mountain flashed looks of anger.
