Ghost Catching System

The Seal Devil Altar began to shake; it had clearly understood Chu Hao’s words and was expressing its fury.

Those whose souls had not been captured breathed a sigh of relief upon witnessing Chu Hao’s display of divine might.

Mu Yuxun shouted anxiously, ”Chu Hao, Li Yin and Teacher Qiu have been captured! Hurry and save them!”

Indeed, Li Yin, Qiu Xueying, and many other classmates had been seized and pulled inside the altar. Chu Hao nodded and, without a word, charged forward, beginning to slaughter the Scissor Ghosts and quickly killing several more.

DING... Scissor Ghost dropped an item: Ghost Scissors.

Chu Hao examined the Ghost Scissors’ properties and was quietly delighted. This item is excellent!

Item: Ghost Scissors

Rarity: ★★

Ability: Cut out a person’s Three Souls and Seven Spirits

Looking around, the remaining Scissor Ghosts had already been dealt with by Zhao Fei and Zhang Fei.

The Seal Devil Altar quieted down, as if it had reverted to being an ordinary jar.

Chu Hao walked over, grabbed Qi Zhongyu by the neck, and lifted him up, saying coldly, ”Daring to run wild in Huaxia? Did you really think Huaxia’s people are easy to bully?”

Qi Zhongyu was extremely wary. Chu Hao is too unpredictable! I thought the Seal Devil Altar could trap Chu Hao inside, but now it seems unlikely.

”Let’s... Let’s talk this out,” Qi Zhongyu stammered, utterly frightened.

His response came in the form of several loud slaps that made Qi Zhongyu see stars. His effeminate face turned into a red, swollen mess, with many teeth knocked out and his mouth full of blood.

Chu Hao was brutally violent when he hit people. Qi Zhongyu lay there like a dead dog, both terrified and enraged. I’m a member of the Zhong, Yu, Yin, Yang Family from the Dwarf Kingdom, revered by people there! No one has ever dared treat me like this!

Qi Zhongyu loathed Chu Hao to the bone. He knew pleading would be futile; Chu Hao wouldn’t let him go. So, he said defiantly, ”Chu Hao, if you kill me, none of the people taken will ever return!”

”The Seal Devil Altar’s power isn’t limited to just this. If you kill me, the Seal Devil Altar will go out of control! By then, the whole of Anli City will be plunged into disaster! HAHAHA...”

Upon hearing Qi Zhongyu’s words, the faces of the onlookers turned pale.

They had seen how formidable the Scissor Ghosts were; they could actually cut off a person’s shadow. If they were left uncontrolled, it would indeed lead to the catastrophe he described. That was terrifying. So this is the power of a Yin Yang Master!

Many reporters, previously skeptical about Yin Yang Masters, were petrified after witnessing this scene.

They were all modern people. Although they had heard legends about the supernatural, they had always regarded such tales as mere myths. Now, having witnessed it firsthand, they understood its terrifying nature—something humans were powerless against!

Those Scissor Ghosts... bullets and shells probably can’t harm them. They aren’t human; they’re ghosts! Humanity is completely helpless against such beings. Only Yin Yang Masters can suppress them! But how many Yin Yang Masters are there in the world? No one knows.

Some courageous reporters didn’t leave the basketball court. They felt that their mission had arrived. Even at the risk of their lives, they were determined to document everything here so the world would know its true danger and perhaps find a way to counter it.

A middle-aged reporter, pulling a brunette woman, said, ”Little Qin, take your shots and then run for your life!”

The young female reporter shook her head and replied, ”You all go first. I want to capture the entire scene.”

The middle-aged man didn’t bother with the female reporter anymore and fled for his life.

Chu Hao looked at Qi Zhongyu with a scornful expression and said, ”Do you really think you’re someone important? This Seal Devil Altar doesn’t seem to be yours, does it? You’re merely the vehicle that transported it to Huaxia!”

Those words were hurtful, but he couldn’t deny their truth. I really have become just a vehicle for bringing the Seal Devil Altar to Huaxia.

Qi Zhongyu hung his head in dejection.

Chu Hao took out the Ghost Scissors. They were quite peculiar, identical to those used by the Scissor Ghosts. Qi Zhongyu stared in astonishment. ”Wh-what are you doing? What is that thing?”

Chu Hao said coldly, ”I’m taking your Three Souls and Seven Spirits.”

Qi Zhongyu was terrified out of his wits. What kind of monster is this Chu Hao? How does he have the Scissor Ghosts’ scissors?!

With that, Chu Hao stepped on Qi Zhongyu’s shadow and snipped with the scissors. Qi Zhongyu screamed as his Three Souls and Seven Spirits were extracted, and he slumped to the ground, unconscious.

In Chu Hao’s hand writhed Qi Zhongyu’s black soul, like an infant grasped by a giant. It couldn’t speak, its ethereal face filled with utter terror.

These Ghost Scissors are incredibly useful! The role of a Ghost Officiant is to hook souls, but my method is far more domineering: soul-snipping!

Old Yuan rushed over, anxiously saying, ”Master Chu, what do we do now? So many people have been caught inside the altar.”

Of the several hundred people on the basketball court, at least a hundred had been captured. Others, whose Three Souls and Seven Spirits were too weak, had simply been sucked in.

”Don’t worry,” Chu Hao said, waving his hand dismissively. ”I’ll be right back.”

Chu Hao sat down and consumed a Soul Out-of-Body Pill. Once his spirit detached from his physical form, he clutched Qi Zhongyu’s soul and instructed Old Yuan, ”Guard my body.”

Old Yuan said excitedly, ”Yes.”

”Zhao Yun, Zhang Fei, let’s go.”

Then, Chu Hao and his two Ghost Generals plunged into the Seal Devil Altar.

The Seal Devil Altar had become the vessel of an Evil Spirit, a very ancient entity. Inside, a vast space held countless sealed souls.

As Chu Hao and the two Ghost Generals entered, they immediately saw a large, ancient town.

The town was gloomy. Its architecture resembled that of ancient towns in the Yamato Country. Inhabitants dressed in the period clothing of the Dwarf Kingdom mingled with modern-looking people. All of them had lost their Ghost Hearts and wandered aimlessly through the streets.

Chu Hao, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun landed in the town and immediately spotted Li Yin among the crowd of souls.

Chu Hao walked over, grabbed Li Yin’s shoulder, and asked, ”Don’t wander off. Where’s Teacher Qiu?”

However, Li Yin seemed to have lost his consciousness, merely staring blankly at Chu Hao.

Chu Hao realized that the most crucial of Li Yin’s Three Souls and Seven Spirits were missing—what was known as his Ghost Heart. Its absence had left him in this dazed, unresponsive state.

”My Lord,” Zhao Yun observed, ”it appears these souls are being farmed. Without their Ghost Hearts, they won’t awaken even if we return them.”

Chu Hao nodded and commanded, ”Find the Evil Spirit. Whoever stands in your way, kill them.”

”Understood!” Zhao Yun and Zhang Fei replied.

They searched the entire town but couldn’t locate the Evil Spirit. There were far too many souls, and all of them lacked Ghost Hearts.

At that moment, Chu Hao saw a familiar girl on the town’s main road: Qiu Shanyezi. She, too, had been captured and thrown into the Seal Devil Altar. Qi Zhongyu had done this after she acted as an informant.

Qiu Shanyezi, with a blank expression, pointed in a specific direction.

Chu Hao approached her. Even though Qiu Shanyezi has lost her Ghost Heart, the fact that she just pointed me in a direction suggests her soul’s consciousness is still strong.

Following the direction Qiu Shanyezi had indicated, Chu Hao and his Ghost Generals left the town and ascended a nearby mountain peak.
