Ghost Catching System

What a shitty day. These two were flaunting their affection without any consideration for the occasion, in full public view, tugging and pulling at each other, nearly locking lips in a passionate kiss. It’s like they’re doing it just to show off to us single folks.

The other onlookers were speechless, too—that couple was too much, getting all cozy and close, almost kissing.

Chu Hao, this single dog, couldn’t take it anymore and couldn’t help but say, ”Bro, this is a public place; please pay attention to where you’re displaying affection.”

The young man snorted and said, ”Is it any of your business? Come here, babe, give me a kiss.”

The girl played along with the young man’s display of affection, saying, ”Babe, MUAH.”

And then, they really did kiss, indulging in one of those French passionate kisses, completely lost in their fervor.

Chu Hao couldn’t stand it. I mean, come on, I’m supposed to be the lucky one today! How did I end up witnessing this shameless couple’s lovey-dovey antics?

The other onlookers were at a loss for words as well, really wanting to bash up the shameless couple.

Chu Hao couldn’t take it. He had been standing there for a good half-minute. If the queue kept moving at this pace, God knew how long he would have to wait. He was starting to get anxious. Where was my unbeatable luck? It’s really running out by the minute!

Taking another look at Luo Yan, she clenched her small fist, her delicate face flushed with triumph. Many passersby thought she was indeed a great beauty. Even the guy in the midst of the wet kiss glanced over at Luo Yan and couldn’t take his eyes off her.

Suddenly, a voice said, ”Master Chu?”

Chu Hao turned to look and saw a middle-aged man in casual attire. It was Zhang Qun, the chairman of Shangshui Group.

”Director Zhang,” Chu Hao greeted him.

Zhang Qun had just arrived at the high-speed train station and immediately spotted the stunning Luo Yan, a rare beauty. He was planning to hit on her when he saw Luo Yan and Chu Hao exchanging playful punches. Zhang Qun was taken aback and quickly dismissed the idea. If he actually went over to flirt, he would definitely offend Master Chu, and that would be like courting death. It was not every day that one encountered Chu Hao. During his last live streaming session, that ghost-catching performance had left Zhang Qun utterly astounded. It prompted him to tip 70,000 or 80,000 in the live streaming room. He was eager to befriend such a man.

Zhang Qun hastily asked, ”Where is Master Chu heading? Let me help you with the high-speed train tickets. I know people here; we can make a direct purchase.”

Ha, my good luck strikes again! I had barely stood here for half a minute, and here comes someone to help me buy high-speed train tickets, Chu Hao thought.

Chu Hao smiled and said, ”I’m going to Longxi City, two tickets, please. I’ll have to trouble you, Director Zhang.”

Zhang Qun quickly shook his head and said, ”Think nothing of it. It so happens that I’m also heading to Longxi City for some business. Xiao Wu, come over, please get two high-speed train tickets for Master Chu, first-class cabin.”

Zhang Qun’s driver nodded and said, ”Sure thing, Director Zhang.”

Zhang Qun glanced at Luo Yan and said in a low voice, ”Master Chu, you’re quite the lucky man. Do you want me to arrange a private cabin for you two?”

Chu Hao coughed and said in a low voice, ”Bro, you really know how to stir up trouble. But thanks.”

”Haha... we’re all men here, I get it, I get it.”

The two men exchanged a smile, and Zhang Qun left, mentioning they would see each other in the cabin later.

Chu Hao, swaggering over to Luo Yan, boasted, ”Sister Luo Yan, I’ve got my ticket situation sorted out.”

Luo Yan was feeling vexed, starting to wonder if these two had conspired together. Then again, thinking it over, that was impossible. She was the one who had dragged Chu Hao to the high-speed train station. It must simply be his truly good fortune.

Luo Yan, puffing with anger, stamped her foot and said, ”I don’t back out on a dare. So, if you win, go ahead and touch.”

Chu Hao quickly said, ”Hey, hey... don’t forget you also have to give me a kiss.”

Luo Yan’s face turned red as she said, ”There are too many people here.”

Chu Hao shook his head and said, ”No way. If you don’t kiss me, I’m going back.”

Luo Yan gave in, rolled her eyes at Chu Hao, and said, ”Fine.”

Saying that, she moved forward, intending to kiss Chu Hao’s cheek. It wasn’t their first kiss anyway, this lucky guy, she reasoned.

Chu Hao suddenly turned his head and, SMACK, went straight in for a kiss on her lips.

That felt so good!! Haha... does this count as my first kiss? Indeed, today I am invincible.

Luo Yan was stunned, her face as red as if it were bleeding. Looking like a wronged little wife, she stomped her foot and said, ”You little jerk, you! You!”

Seeing that many people were watching, Luo Yan was too embarrassed to stay and turned to leave.

Chu Hao rubbed his hands together. After kissing her lips, the next step was to touch her thigh, so he quickly followed her.

”DING... Host has scored a critical hit by showing off affection, received 400 Pretentiousness Points.”

Without meaning to, I was pretentious again, and it was by showing off affection. I’m simply unbeatable.

A crowd of onlookers, especially the men, took 10,000 points of critical hit damage. First, that shameless couple was showing off their love, and now Chu Hao had to come up with another wave. It was unbearable. Especially because Luo Yan was a top-tier beauty. They had noticed her a long time ago and even thought about approaching her, asking for her WeChat and the like. And now, such a gorgeous, top-tier beauty was taken advantage of by that kid.

They must not have checked the almanac before leaving the house today, the men collectively lamented.

The couple still in line witnessed this scene. The man, in particular, was dying of envy for Chu Hao; Luo Yan was no less than any so-called A-list female star.

The young man’s girlfriend was furious. Her boyfriend was looking at Luo Yan with eyes that were almost popping out. She angrily said, ”What are you looking at? Keep looking, and I’ll gouge out your eyes! Look how well-connected they are; they don’t even need to queue. And you? Why did I end up with someone like you?”

The young man retorted angrily, ”I was just admiring her, is that not allowed? Besides, who here isn’t queuing up?”

The girl snapped back, ”You’re still talking back? We’re breaking up.”

”Fine by me! I’ve had enough of your nagging!”

The spectators enjoyed the drama immensely.

Once onboard the high-speed train’s luxurious suite, which was opulent beyond belief, Chu Hao couldn’t wait and said, ”Sister Luo Yan, there’s no time to lose. I could be touching your thigh for ten minutes, and we’ll be reaching Longxi City soon.”

Luo Yan blushed, putting on a stern face. ”Do you really want to touch?”

Chu Hao replied, ”Shouldn’t a man keep his promises?”

Luo Yan, her fair, beautiful face composed, said tersely, ”Try touching me and see what happens.”

Chu Hao reached out to touch, but Luo Yan shrieked, ”Harassment!!”

Chu Hao quickly retracted his hand, giving Luo Yan a dark look.

Chu Hao said in frustration, ”Sister Luo Yan, you’re not keeping your word! How could you scream harassment? You’re tarnishing my reputation.”

Luo Yan smiled faintly. ”Consider this a little punishment. It’s revenge for Yun’er. After all, you’re the one who taught her all that nonsense.”

”Fine, fine, I won’t touch then,” he relented. He was helpless; after all, he owed Yun’er, having almost swindled that pure little girl into nearly selling herself.

Luo Yan smiled lightly, as if she had Chu Hao all figured out. Even though this little pervert had his lecherous moments, he wouldn’t go too far; he knew his limits.

The high-speed train quickly started moving, and the journey was filled with scenery. It was Chu Hao’s first time on a high-speed train. It wasn’t that he was outdated; he just never had the opportunity before. He was somewhat captivated by the passing landscape.

The journey from Anli City to Longxi City covered only a hundred kilometers and would take a mere half an hour.

The world is vast, and people come in all shapes and colors. If it weren’t for the Pretentious Ghost Catching System, I would still be just an ordinary person. It was the System that changed me.
