Ghost Catching System

Chu Hao was somewhat shocked. Had he now become a walking jinx? Wherever he went, misfortune followed.

Looking at Pan Boyuan, Chu Hao felt a bit embarrassed. Wasn’t this dragging others into his mess?

The equipment toppled over. Pan Boyuan’s face turned ugly as he angrily said, ”Why didn’t you hold it steady?”

Chu Hao shrugged and replied with a sneer, ”You were the one who slipped. How can you blame me?”

Pan Boyuan wanted to say something, but indeed, it was his own carelessness that had made him slip. With a face full of gloom, he waved his hand and said, ”Forget it, just get out. I need to examine Teacher Qiu.”

Chu Hao asked in surprise, ”The equipment is broken. How can you still perform an examination?”

Pan Boyuan answered angrily, ”I am a professional doctor. By the way, student from whichever class you are, why do you talk so much? Get out quickly.”

Chu Hao said, ”I think Teacher Qiu is fine. As for you, isn’t it just a concussion check? Is it necessary to take off clothes for that?”

Pan Boyuan shouted, ”Are you leaving or not?”

”Sorry, but I’m not leaving. What are you going to do about it?” Chu Hao said with folded arms and a sneer.

Pan Boyuan was agitated. He had finally gotten a chance to be alone with Teacher Qiu. How did an irritating third wheel show up? Could it be that old lecher of a headmaster sent him to keep an eye on me?

With that thought, Pan Boyuan said, ”Fine, if you want to watch, then watch.”

As he spoke, he went over to examine Qiu Xueying in the sickroom. He didn’t ask her to take off any clothes or anything and said in surprise, ”You really are fine.”

Qiu Xueying rolled her eyes. Does he *wish* something was wrong with me?

Qiu Xueying, relieved, said, ”Teacher Pan, I’ll be fine after some rest. Just have Classmate Chu Hao stay with me, and you can go attend to your work.”

Pan Boyuan, his face full of frustration, glared at Chu Hao.

How could Chu Hao let him glare? He glared right back.

Pan Boyuan was furious. This kid must have been sent by the principal! That old pervert has had his eye on Qiu Xueying for a long time!

Thinking this, Pan Boyuan realized he couldn’t be too forceful. So, with a forced smile, he said, ”Classmate, look. I can take care of Teacher Qiu here; you don’t need to stay. Besides, you’re in your third year of high school, right? Your studies are most important.”

Chu Hao shook his head and said, ”No problem, I’m a top student.”

Pan Boyuan’s mouth twitched. ”How about this? You go buy some medicine for me, and this one hundred yuan is for your trouble.”

Heh... so he’s starting with the sugar-coated bullet tactic, Chu Hao thought. ”I want to stay with Teacher Qiu,” he said.

”How about two hundred yuan?”

Chu Hao shook his head.

”Five hundred yuan,” Pan Boyuan offered.

Chu Hao shook his head.

Pan Boyuan gritted his teeth and said, ”One thousand yuan.”

Chu Hao cleared his throat and said, ”Teacher Pan, since you’re being so sincere, how could I possibly refuse?”

Pan Boyuan clenched his teeth and handed over one thousand yuan to Chu Hao.

Chu Hao chuckled. Getting one thousand yuan isn’t bad at all. I’ll just wander around outside for three minutes before coming back in. What kind of tricks could Pan Boyuan possibly pull in that time? If Teacher Qiu starts screaming, I can rush in, and it would be the perfect chance to beat him up! HAHA… Why am I so clever?

After leaving the infirmary, Chu Hao waited outside. After a while, he heard Teacher Qiu’s distressed voice. ”Teacher Pan, I don’t want to take off my clothes,” she said.

Pan Boyuan said, ”That won’t do. A thorough examination is essential. This concerns Teacher Qiu’s life and safety!”

”I feel quite well,” she said.

”No, no. As a doctor, I must be responsible for you.”

See that? Shameless, isn’t he? Chu Hao thought, already rubbing his hands together, ready to rush in and beat up Pan Boyuan.

”Teacher Pan, don’t do this.”

Chu Hao pushed the door open and saw Pan Boyuan getting handsy with Teacher Qiu. He shouted loudly, ”You Wang Ba, take this kick from me!”

He kicked Pan Boyuan squarely in the face, leaving a shoe print.

Pan Boyuan was infuriated. This kid suddenly barged in, ruining my chance, and he even kicked my handsome face!

”AH!” Pan Boyuan lay on the ground, screaming in pain.

Chu Hao earnestly said, ”Teacher Qiu, are you all right? Rest assured, with me here, no one will be able to harm Teacher.”

Qiu Xueying was ecstatic. Chu Hao’s sudden appearance had saved her. Gratefully, she said, ”Chu Hao, I’m fine.”

Chu Hao spoke with righteous indignation, ”Don’t worry, Teacher Qiu. With me here, this lecher is doomed.”

”HIYAH!” Chu Hao charged forward and battered Pan Boyuan mercilessly, kicking him nonstop, especially in the face—his favorite target.

Pan Boyuan was gasping for breath, completely breaking down.

”Stop hitting me! Stop it! Why are you hitting me?”

Chu Hao, thoroughly enjoying himself, said, ”I’m hitting you precisely because you harass decent women! Scum like you—I’ll beat you every time I see you!”

”You!!”

Chu Hao kicked him again, leaving more shoe prints on his face, feeling incredibly satisfied.

Qiu Xueying also felt vindicated. Pan Boyuan was a complete lecher. However, seeing the beating continue, she feared it would lead to serious trouble and quickly said, ”Chu Hao, stop hitting him, please!”

Chu Hao said, ”Don’t worry, Teacher. I’m going to call the police. Teacher, you can sue him in court. Let him serve a few years in prison!”

”DING... Host has successfully shown off, gaining 100 Show-off Points.”

Hearing about prison, Pan Boyuan shivered all over. He hurriedly said, ”Don’t... please don’t call the police.”

Glancing sideways at the man, Chu Hao said, ”What’s that? You harassed a decent woman, so why can’t I call the police? Oh, right! You shoved one thousand yuan into my hand just now. That’s evidence.”

FUCK!! Pan Boyuan nearly vomited blood. So this is what it means to be set up! This kid has been scheming against me from the very beginning. He’s utterly ruthless!

Qiu Xueying was also speechless. Chu Hao executed that move so smoothly; he must have set up plenty of others before.

She said, ”We’re all teachers at the same school. If we sue him, it will damage the school’s reputation.”

Pan Boyuan also pleaded urgently, ”Chu Hao, Teacher Qiu, I swear I won’t do it again! Please, don’t call the police!”

Chu Hao glared at him and said, ”You ’won’t dare’? How many female students in this school have you abused? Don’t think we can’t find out!”

Pan Boyuan burst into tears, saying, ”I... I was just treating an illness!”

”Still trying to be stubborn, huh? Teacher Qiu, what do you think we should do with someone like him?”

After a moment’s thought, Qiu Xueying said, ”Teacher Pan, how about you resign on your own?”

”Yes, yes! I’ll resign on my own! Please, just don’t call the police!” Pan Boyuan was terrified.

Chu Hao sighed and said, ”Teacher Qiu, you’re too kind-hearted.”

I really am too kind-hearted, Qiu Xueying also thought.

Suddenly, Chu Hao’s phone rang. Lu Junhe’s urgent voice came through, ”Chu Hao, someone else is jumping off a building!”

Chu Hao was startled. ”You’re kidding, right?”

DAMN IT!! This isn’t over yet? Someone else is jumping? A shiver ran down Chu Hao’s spine. Qiu Xueying also followed him. She wasn’t seriously injured anyway. Pan Boyuan, however, looked utterly dejected, clearly wishing he could leave the school immediately.

The three of them arrived at the location of the attempted jump. They saw a chubby student perched on a tenth-floor flagpole, letting out screams like a pig being slaughtered.

”Don’t stop me! I’m going to jump!”

Chu Hao didn’t see any ghosts and was immediately puzzled. What’s going on now?

”HEY, HEY... What in the world is happening today? This is the third person trying to jump off a building! Are you serious?”

”Yeah! This is too bizarre.”

Seeing Chu Hao arrive, Lu Junhe asked worriedly, ”Chu Hao, do you see any ghosts?”

Chu Hao shook his head. There aren’t any ghosts. This kid genuinely wants to jump.

Lu Junhe breathed a sigh of relief, then cursed, ”That little Wangba! He’s been hugging the flagpole for ten minutes, shouting for people not to stop him, but he just won’t jump!”

Chu Hao was also speechless. ”Are you actually hoping he jumps?” he asked.

Lu Junhe gave an awkward smile.

PS: A new week has begun! Let’s go for those recommendation tickets!!! Some people say I’m padding the story, but isn’t this just setting the stage? If the plot unfolds all at once, where’s the fun in that?
