Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 3000: Chapter 3001: Calamity of Bloodshed

Ao Song’s eyes were a bit red as she spoke, ”I should go home and take a look after some days.”

Bai Ruozhu patted her hand, ”Later, let’s buy some gifts for your parents, pick something they’ll like.”

”I’ve already picked them out, I’m very filial, you know.” Ao Song showed a big smile, beaming brightly.

Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but smile too, ”Before I go back, I’ll also buy gifts for my parents, brothers, and sisters-in-law.”

Ao Song patted her chest and said, ”I’ll be your guide.”

Bai Ruozhu wanted to ask if she would stay in the Capital City to accompany her. Actually, when they reached the Western Regions, Ao Song could go home.

But she couldn’t ask directly, otherwise, it seemed as if she was rushing Ao Song off.

This time, their trip was a three-border meeting for trade among three countries, so when she entered the Western Regions, she sent a message to the Barbarian Clan. Sangta was also setting off to Gaochang, so she believed they would reunite soon.

She didn’t know if Ao Song wasn’t leaving because she wanted to see Sangta, or maybe she felt a bit sad about Astrologer.

Sangta was her friend, and so was Astrologer, but in terms of closeness, Sangta was naturally closer. Sangta had even ruined his own face to save her, leaving a knife scar.

However, Astrologer might be more suitable for Ao Song, but feelings are not about suitability, only about whether your heart is moved.

The two of them were enjoying good food and planned to continue shopping when they suddenly saw Astrologer hurriedly approaching, wearing a white Yin Yang Master’s robe.

”What happened?” Bai Ruozhu suddenly became nervous.

”Nothing, it’s just that when I did a divination, I found that she would face great misfortune today.” Astrologer said as he looked at Ao Song when he mentioned ”she”.

Ao Song was also surprised. Although she could perform divination and Qi Observation Technique, Technique Masters couldn’t divine for themselves, so she didn’t know she would face great misfortune, let alone why.

”How can it be resolved?” she asked.

Astrologer shook his head, ”I don’t know, it’s better if I stick with you.”

To make Astrologer this nervous, this ”great misfortune” was probably unusual. Bai Ruozhu became worried and said, ”Let’s not shop anymore, let’s go back.”

”Oh, alright.” Ao Song felt somewhat uninterested, but she didn’t dare to mess around.

The three returned to the Posthouse, and Bai Ruozhu had everyone put down their things and went straight to Ao Song’s room, deciding to keep an eye on Ao Song was better.

Astrologer also stayed close without leaving, making Ao Song feel a bit awkward, and she said with a laugh, ”My room is small, why don’t we wait in the hall?”

”Alright,” Astrologer said seriously.

Ao Song took a step outside, and Bai Ruozhu stopped Astrologer, asking, ”Be honest, just how dangerous is it?”

Astrologer’s brows were tightly furrowed, ”The divination shows a great lights of blood.”

”Could there be an assassin?” Bai Ruozhu muttered and urgently instructed Jianqi to send people to find Jiang Yichun and the others to come back.

Jiang Yichun had taken the children to see the fine horses of the Western Regions and even promised Dengdeng to give him a tall horse. But halfway through picking one, he was called back, and Little Dengdeng’s face was remarkably unhappy, almost scrunched up.

”What’s going on?” Jiang Yichun asked upon returning.

Bai Ruozhu immediately explained Astrologer’s divination, and Jiang Yichun didn’t dare to be careless, arranging guards for defense. After all, they were like a powerful dragon, not capable of suppressing the local powers; if the other side sent a large number of expert attackers, the situation would become too dangerous.

Gao Zhou and Chushuang were also summoned back. Everyone ate together, chatting and laughing, but all were on high alert.

Time ticked by, yet nothing happened. Could it be because they were ready that the other side changed their plans, altering the path of fate?

Astrologer didn’t speak, and did another divination for Ao Song, still showing great misfortune.

”Is there something wrong with your divination? Is it because you’re too far from Fusang that it isn’t working?” Ao Song joked.

If it’s an enemy attack, why would it be only her facing a great lights of blood? Could it be because she was the weakest here in martial arts?

But her magic skills weren’t weak, and she had many protective treasures; it shouldn’t be so easy to get hurt, right?

She glanced at the hourglass and said, ”It’s almost midnight, it should be fine, probably a misunderstanding.”

Bai Ruozhu also glanced at Ao Song, could it be because of menstruation mistaken for great lights of blood?

She took out her pocket watch, watching the time, it was almost midnight. Once today was over, Ao Song’s great misfortune should pass, right?

At 11:59, just a few seconds before the second hand reached 12, Ao Song’s face suddenly changed dramatically. Clutching her chest, she cried out, ”How is this happening? It hurts so much!”

Astrologer rushed over in a single bound and held her, ”Where does it hurt? What’s happening?”

Ao Song clutched her heart, ”It’s it, it’s it...”

Before she could explain clearly, she spat out a mouthful of blood, her eyes rolled back, and she fainted. Blood kept flowing from her mouth, and within just a few breaths, it stained her clothes red, and also Astrologer’s white Yin Yang Master’s robe, as if large peonies blooming in bright red.

Bai Ruozhu was also quite frightened, hurriedly rushing over to check Ao Song’s pulse. Her pulse was chaotic, as if she had suffered severe internal injuries. Her meridians were in complete disarray, and her internal organs were bleeding, which is why blood kept flowing from her mouth.

”How is it? What’s the problem?” Jiang Yichun asked.

”Internal injury, meridians in disarray,” Bai Ruozhu hurriedly retrieved her silver needle and pricked Ao Song.

”Nobody touched her, she hasn’t encountered anything recently, how could she have internal injuries? Could it be a curse?” Chushuang asked.

Astrologer shook his head, ”It’s not a curse, it’s like a backlash. I can’t explain it clearly, but her situation is very dangerous now. Ordinary medical skills might not heal her, at most ensure she doesn’t die.”

He tightened his hold on Ao Song’s hand. He had always been unsure of his own feelings, but at this moment, he comprehended completely.

He cared for her, he liked her, he couldn’t bear to see her suffer, nor could he bear to watch her die.

Even if she liked someone else, as long as she could live, not be in this bloody state, he would do anything.

Bai Ruozhu desperately applied the needle, sweat beading on her forehead, her eyes reddening as tears streamed down.

”How can this be, the bleeding should have stopped, why does she keep getting hurt and bleeding?” she mumbled, pulling out another handful of silver needles and quickly pricking Ao Song.

Ao Song still hadn’t woken up, the blood she spat out had already stained the ground red, and the room was filled with the stench of blood. Gao Zhou, fearing the children would be scared, had already asked Chushuang to take the three little ones to the adjacent Ear Room.

In Bai Ruozhu’s mind, scenes of her and Ao Song’s interactions flashed one after another.

She thought of that lively woman who emerged from the depths of the desert, riding on the back of a white Miao Tuo, with her noble demeanor, yet playful and kind-hearted. Her pearly white teeth sparkled as she laughed, making it impossible for anyone to harbor any dislike.

Even from the start when she was a complete spendthrift scattering gold leaves everywhere, Bai Ruozhu just couldn’t bring herself to dislike her.

Afterwards, she frequently helped Bai Ruozhu, calling her affectionately with a sweet ”Sister Ruozhu” each time.
