Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2674: Chapter 2675: Encountering Dragon-seeking Grass

The White Dragon laughed bitterly, ”They want me to watch her slowly die, want me to be unable to break the curse out of compassion. Yes, I did find it hard, but I don’t have the Dragon Ball, and there’s no way to break the curse. I’ve told her more than once, but unfortunately she didn’t believe me. Later, she hated me and cursed me even in death, wishing me a bad end.”

Bai Ruozhu listened, filled with anger, ”What right does she have to curse you? Even if someone should be cursed, it should be those who abandoned their own people. She’s the one who wronged you first!”

”I was blind in love, falling for such a person years ago and being deceived into such a situation. Perhaps our Dragon Clan shouldn’t fall in love with humans.” The White Dragon shook his head, as if trying to leave the worries behind, ”It has been hundreds of years. Initially, those Merfolk would come periodically, but later they stopped appearing. I haven’t seen them and don’t know their current situation. Maybe they found a way to extend their lives.”

Jiang Yichun said with a solemn face, ”Rest assured, no matter what the method for extending life is, I will find a way to return the Dragon Ball to you. This is what we promised you.”

”I said I wouldn’t believe the Merfolk again, but I intend to trust you this time.” The White Dragon paused as he spoke, ”By the way, the later Saintesses of the Merfolk were not as noble as Qing Qian used to be. It seems they vented their grievances over Qing Qian onto the subsequent Saintesses.”

Gao Zhou’s heart sank, ”I don’t know what Chushuang experienced back then, but she should no longer be around now.”

The White Dragon looked at him compassionately, then turned to Jiang Yichun and said, ”You’re luckier than I am; you have a son, while I’ve been here alone for hundreds of years.”

Bai Ruozhu offered him medicine to repair Divine Sense, ”You should take better care of yourself; why make yourself suffer so much?”

This time, the White Dragon didn’t refuse and accepted the medicine, saying, ”Thank you.”

The three asked some questions and were eventually escorted out of the Gold Palace by the White Dragon, returning to the boat.

”Madam, madam, you’re finally back! I thought you were eaten by the dragon.” Sibao came up, smiling cheekily.

Bai Ruozhu raised her hand and knocked on its forehead, ”How could you talk like that? Do you think we would be eaten by the dragon?”

”Oh dear, you’re bullying a demon.” Sibao exclaimed.

Bai Ruozhu pinched its little cheeks, saying, ”Alright, ask Teng Ya to give you some treats. We’re setting off. When we regroup with them, let Astrologer check you out.”

”Okay.”

The ship began to sail. According to the signals from the Harmony Ship, it took approximately a day and night before the two ships met.

Bai Ruozhu and the others moved to the Harmony Ship, where they heard Astrologer guiding Elder Ding with the navigation. Around Fusang, it’s Astrologer who is more familiar with the area.

”Heading southeast for half a day, there’s a small island. Though much smaller than Guozu Island, it’s enough for us to dock and refurbish.” Astrologer said.

Bai Ruozhu went up to greet them and asked Astrologer, ”Seven or eight days southward, will there be any islands?”

”Are you asking about Merfolk Island?” Astrologer shook his head, ”I find it unlikely. If it’s there, wouldn’t it be too close to Fusang? Moreover, I’ve been to that area and didn’t sense any Barrier fluctuations.”

”Did the Merfolk move?” Bai Ruozhu asked.

Jiang Yichun took her hand and said, ”I think the seven or eight days’ journey the White Dragon mentioned is by his own speed.”

Bai Ruozhu’s mouth twitched, knowing that a dragon traveling for seven or eight days must be much faster than their ship.

”That means it might take about twenty days.” Astrologer said.

”Do you know the dragon’s speed?” Bai Ruozhu asked curiously.

Astrologer laughed, ”In the mountains of Fusang, there are many Monsters. While I’ve never seen a real dragon, I once chased an evil Jiao, which was quite an ordeal.”

Finally having direction, Bai Ruozhu felt much relieved.

When Astrologer finished his tasks, Bai Ruozhu asked him to check on Sibao. It quickly became clear that Sibao had no issues and didn’t need the Venus Gemstone. The problem it felt was due to the great demon casting Demon Techniques on it.

”I’m so angry! How could he be so wicked? That’s bullying a child!” Sibao exclaimed, clenching its small fists.

”You’re just born and don’t understand much. Whether humans or demons, you shouldn’t be harmed, and beware of others.” Bai Ruozhu patted Sibao’s head, ”It’s alright, at least you’ve met us and won’t be used by that great demon anymore.”

Sibao nodded vigorously, ”Thank you, I will work hard at Cultivation. Once I’m strong enough, I’ll go back and give him a good beating.”

After all, it’s a child; even when stronger, it only thinks of ”giving a good beating,” not seeking vengeance by killing.

Along the way, Sibao and Asheng eventually became familiar with each other, and both followed Sa Tian in their studies. Sibao learned quickly, inspiring Asheng to study even harder.

The Harmony Ship was repaired smoothly, and no spies were found on the two ships. Bai Ruozhu suspected that the person was likely that Array Master under She Zongyi.

Who knows, in the vast sea, how that person managed to escape later?

From where the accident happened, it’s not difficult for him to return to Guozu Island and avoid drowning in the sea.

Later, they passed three islands. Two were small islands with few inhabitants, and one had no water source or people. None of the three islands had Dragon-seeking Grass.

”What exactly are you looking for?” Sibao asked curiously.

Bai Ruozhu didn’t hide it from Sibao and showed it a blueprint, ”This is called Dragon-seeking Grass; we’re looking for it.”

”Oh, it looks like something that Huxiao keeps as a treasure!” Sibao tilted its head and said, ”He has it in his cave and cherishes it so much he won’t let me near it. Once, while he was fighting another demon, I sneaked in for a look. It didn’t have any Fruit on it and couldn’t be eaten. I really don’t know why he’s keeping it.”

”Look closely, does it look the same as this?” Astrologer hurriedly asked.

Sibao examined it closely and then nodded, adding, ”I’m not saying this out of spite for Huxiao; I swear on my demon honor, I’m not lying.”

”Can you find the island you stayed on before?” Bai Ruozhu asked.

”It’ll take a long time to go back, but I remember the direction.” Sibao said.

Jiang Yichun glanced at Astrologer, who was more concerned about the Emperor’s situation.

At this moment, Ning Yu approached and said, ”Let’s look for Merfolk Island first; perhaps we’ll find Dragon-seeking Grass along the way. If not, then we’ll go to the place Sibao mentioned.”

”Okay.” Astrologer agreed immediately, ”There’s still enough time.”

It’s just unfortunate the Emperor will have to endure it.

In the Fusang Imperial Palace, the Emperor was experiencing morning sickness again, his face pale as he lamented, ”I really didn’t know that childbearing would be so difficult for women. I wonder how Wen De is doing?”
