Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2661: Chapter 2662: Hair Removal Cream

As soon as Bai Ruozhu came out of the Devil Vine, she tossed him a pill and said disdainfully, ”I actually thought you were tough. I figured you could at least last a count of ten. Didn’t expect you to be scared to death at eight.”

Alin was a bit anxious and muttered, ”We’re letting him off this easy?”

Bai Ruozhu only smiled without answering. Of course she wasn’t going to let him off that easy; she just didn’t want them to die too quickly, that was all.

A small Mechanical Puppet had climbed onto the Chi Clan leader’s neck, the spike on top of the puppet’s head pressing against his throat. Fo Lanying’s cold, sinister voice rang out, ”You just said you were going to drag me back? How can you be this clueless about your own limits?”

The Chi Clan leader had just had a near-death experience and hadn’t recovered his wits yet, when some thing he’d never seen before was suddenly pressed against his vital spot. Even his breathing became louder.

Fo Lanying snorted disdainfully and commanded the Mechanical Puppet to jab his neck, but that jab wasn’t meant to take his life.

The Chi Clan leader had only just saved his own skin and his body hadn’t yet hardened again. Being stabbed like that, he let out a miserable scream on the spot.

”Hahahaha, you were acting all arrogant and imposing just now, but in the end you’re just a coward. You even dared to scheme against me.” Fo Lanying laughed loudly.

Yuan Licheng went over unhappily and kicked him in the chest. ”If you dare have any more ideas about my woman, I’ll castrate you on the spot!”

”I already let you go. Now you’re going back on your word!” the Chi Clan leader shouted. Alin helped translate.

Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help laughing. ”Who was it that went back on his word first, huh? You’ve got some nerve bringing that up with us.”

The Chi tribesmen looked at their dead companions, hatred flashing in their eyes, but they didn’t dare stare at Bai Ruozhu’s group as arrogantly as before. Bai Ruozhu’s display had terrified them—she’d practically not even touched them, yet could still take their lives.

Suddenly, the ground underfoot trembled, and a rumbling sound came from the distance. Tang Feng turned his head to look into the distance. ”What’s going on? An earthquake?”

The Fusang region had lots of crustal plate movement and frequent quakes, and this Guozu Island was also in the Fusang area.

But right after that, thick smoke billowed up from a distant mountain peak. Bai Ruozhu’s expression changed as well. ”Not just that. Looks like a volcano...”

At that moment, the Chi tribesmen all turned pale and started shouting something. Alin’s face also went white as she said, ”The gods are angry and are going to send down Heavenly Fire. We need to find a place to hide.”

Once she finished speaking, she ran back into the cave to help her father. She was much stronger than an ordinary person and easily hoisted her father onto her back.

If the volcano erupted, scalding lava might flow out, and the volcanic ash alone would cause enormous trouble. Bai Ruozhu’s group didn’t dare delay. They directly abandoned the Chi tribesmen and quickly ran in the direction away from the eruption.

On a distant mountain, the Earth Dragons’ frenzied roars echoed, apparently sensing the danger too.

In the end, they chose to head back toward where the islanders lived, and simply brought Alin and her father out with them for the time being.

Everything outside was brand new and fascinating to Alin, while Duhe was moved to tears, muttering, ”It’s been over ten years. I finally got out.”

They hadn’t expected several islanders to already be waiting outside. As soon as they saw them, they immediately came forward.

”The Village Chief said there’s a natural disaster. It’s good you’re alright. Hurry back,” a middle-aged man said.

”Alright, thank you,” the Astrologer replied.

The group didn’t dare linger and followed the islanders back to their lodgings.

The people on the Island saw them return safely and couldn’t help cheering, but soon noticed Alin and her father.

Now that the hair on Alin’s face and body had been burned off, if you didn’t look closely you’d think she was just an ordinary person. But the islanders basically all knew each other, and they remembered what Bai Ruozhu’s group looked like and what they wore, so they naturally realized this father and daughter were people they’d never seen before.

”Are they from over there?” the Village Chief Shengsi asked in surprise.

Seeing the Village Chief, Duhe grew somewhat excited. ”Village Chief, you don’t remember me? I’m Duhe from Fusang. Over ten years ago I stayed at your house for a while. You told me not to go over there. Unfortunately, I didn’t listen.”

The Village Chief racked his brains before he managed to recall some vague impression—it had been sixteen or seventeen years, after all.

”Y-you’re that young man from outside?” Shengsi asked in astonishment. ”You’ve actually been gone for over ten years and were trapped over there?”

Duhe gave a bitter smile. ”Yeah. I was struck by Miasma and almost died. Luckily, these adults saved me.”

Shengsi’s gaze fell on Alin. ”Th-this is your daughter? So there are other people over there?”

Alin, a bit Nervous, hid behind her father’s back. The unfamiliar environment made her somewhat afraid.

Before Duhe could explain, Bai Ruozhu spoke up. ”Back then, he came to the Island with his daughter. He just didn’t want to attract attention, so he kept the child hidden in his backpack. He insisted on going over there despite the warnings because he wanted to look for Herbal medicine to cure his daughter’s illness.”

As she spoke, she also secretly shot a look at Duhe and his daughter.

She felt it was better not to reveal too much about what was over there. The Chi Clan on that side couldn’t get across, and the people on this side couldn’t go over either. It was a kind of natural balance.

Plus, she didn’t want Alin to be discriminated against in the future. If everyone saw Alin as an ordinary girl, she’d be happier down the road.

And it had been more than ten years—there was no way Shengsi could remember clearly.

Sure enough, Shengsi showed a sudden look of realization. ”You’ve really had it hard, girl. From now on you need to be good to your father. He did all that for you.”

The latter part was directed at Alin. Alin hurriedly nodded. ”Yes.”

Noticing that everyone was exhausted, Shengsi tactfully refrained from peppering them with questions. He quickly had food and hot water prepared for them and then told the islanders to disperse.

After a simple meal, Bai Ruozhu pulled Alin and her father aside to talk.

”That place really isn’t suitable for living. You two should settle down on the Island from now on. Or, when there are ships, you can go back to Fusang for a visit.” Bai Ruozhu said, taking out a box of medicine and handing it to Alin. ”But I suggest you wait a while. On the one hand, Duhe, you need to take medicine for some time so your body can recover. On the other, Alin can use the medicine to get rid of some hair.”

Alin’s face showed displeasure. ”I don’t want to be a baldie.”

”It’s not like I’m making your hair fall out. What bald are you talking about? You should spend more time with the girls in the Village and fix your sense of aesthetics,” Bai Ruozhu said irritably.

Duhe looked a bit embarrassed. ”In the end, it’s my fault for not teaching her well. She’s still more used to the way her mother looked. Lord Bai, can this medicine really make Alin like other girls?”

”At her core, Alin is still Alin. She still has regular Chi Clan blood in her body. This medicine is a kind of Hair Removal Cream that will make the new body hair fall out as it grows. After using it a few times, her body hair will slowly become less and less,” Bai Ruozhu said.
