Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2660: Chapter 2661: Underestimating the Savages

”Alin, watch out!” Duhe shouted, but because of the miasma poison in his body, he immediately started coughing violently.

Bai Ruozhu and the others hurriedly chased after her. They had only just met Alin, but they still felt a lot more goodwill toward Alin and her father.

But they were ultimately a bit slower. Alin had already rushed to the burning area at the cave entrance and, without caring about anything else, shoved the burning objects out, pushing them into the waterfall at the mouth of the cave.

Just watching made Bai Ruozhu’s hands hurt. This Miss is a bit reckless, huh? Touching burning stuff with her hands—doesn’t that hurt?

But she quickly remembered that Chi Clan people have tough skin and shouldn’t be that afraid of fire. Alin being so impulsive was probably because she wanted to protect her father first.

Looking at it this way, the young girl was very filial, a pretty good kid.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—several spears were thrown in. Alin’s position was too obvious, and all the spears were aimed at her. Although Chi Clan people have tough skin, they are also incredibly strong, and the spears they threw could very well injure Alin.

Bai Ruozhu moved in a hurry, and Fo Lanying also threw out a Mechanical Puppet to help. They finally managed to block those spears.

Alin was badly frightened as well, panting heavily and hastily retreating back.

When she came back, everyone couldn’t help but be stunned, because she had brushed up against the fire just now, and the white fur on her face and body had been singed off, revealing the skin underneath.

”You—you look just like us,” Fo Lanying couldn’t help saying.

Alin touched her own face, then looked at her hand that had been burned bald, and suddenly said in some anger, ”Ah, it’s actually bald. So ugly!”

The whole group instantly felt awkward. She clearly looked much better; this Miss’s sense of aesthetics had issues.

Although Alin was smaller than the average Chi Clan person, and had far less white fur, a girl covered in fur from head to toe was still very strange. After being burned like this, she actually looked much more pleasing to the eye. And her features were regular, especially those particularly bright eyes—she should have been a very good-looking girl.

Looking at Alin at this moment, a sudden idea flashed through Bai Ruozhu’s mind. She turned to Astrologer and said, ”Astrologer, throw some Fire Talismans over there at those Chi Clan people. I want to see what they look like after they’re bald.”

Astrologer laughed. ”No problem.”

He led his subordinates to rush to the cave entrance. Several of them simultaneously threw out countless Fire Talismans, and they heard strange screeches and howls echoing continuously from outside.

The group hurried out of the cave and saw what was going on outside.

The Chi Clan people’s skin wasn’t very afraid of fire, just like Alin hadn’t been burned earlier, but their white fur was afraid of it. With a pile of Fire Talismans thrown over, quite a few Chi Clan people were burned bald.

”You bas|tards! I’m going to kill you! How dare you humiliate me like this!” the Chi Clan chief roared. Alin followed them out of the cave and, smiling, translated his words for Bai Ruozhu and the others.

At this moment Alin was in a great mood. Although she was a bit unhappy that her own fur was bald, seeing so many Chi Clan people also bald and even more miserable than she was made her happy.

Suddenly, a huge and densely woven Vine Net rose from the ground and scooped everyone up from under their feet all at once.

It all happened too suddenly, and they were caught off guard. They had actually underestimated the Chi Clan; turns out the Chi Clan had already set up a trap outside the entrance.

Astrologer threw Fire Talismans at the net, but unexpectedly the Vine Net wasn’t afraid of talisman fire at all and simply wouldn’t burn through.

”Don’t move around. This is Devil Vine. Once it sticks to you it’ll drain the power from your body and keep tightening. Oh heavens, they actually brought this thing out just to deal with you!” Alin shouted.

Sure enough, Zhitian, who was standing on the outermost side, had his hand brushed by the Vine Net. His expression immediately changed. ”My lord, this vine is absorbing inner strength!”

Bai Ruozhu narrowed her eyes. This was her being careless. She’d never really taken these Chi Clan people seriously, always thinking of them as fur-clad savages who ate raw meat and drank blood, thinking their civilization was backward and that they weren’t very smart. Dealing with them felt like toying with children, and in the end they’d become someone else’s prey.

She silently reflected. Truly, the sea holds many strange encounters; at any time and in any place, you cannot look down on anyone.

”Does Devil Vine have any natural weakness? How do we break it?” Bai Ruozhu asked quickly.

Alin’s expression wasn’t good; she was trapped in it as well. ”I don’t know. This stuff is precious. Even when they’re fighting Earth Dragons, they’re reluctant to bring it out. What on earth did you do to provoke them?”

Jiang Yichun gave a cold snort. ”It’s that they think we have more value as targets than the Earth Dragons, or rather, the things on us have them drooling with greed.”

On Bai Ruozhu’s side, her fingertips twitched and Poison scattered out. She said coldly, ”Even if Devil Vine can hold us, they shouldn’t even think about harming us in the slightest. Worst case, we see who lasts longer.”

At this moment the net woven from Devil Vine was slowly shrinking. The Chi Clan chief shouted excitedly, ”Drain their strength dry and drag that woman in black over for me to enjoy!”

Alin’s expression shifted, and she couldn’t help but look at Fo Lanying. The ”woman in black” he spoke of was Fo Lanying; that Chi Clan chief had taken a fancy to her.

”Your fuc|king dog|shit gas|bag! Your granny here is someone you’re worthy of lusting after?” Fo Lanying cursed back. Even though she couldn’t constantly hear exactly what the other party was saying, her Divine Sense was powerful, and since he kept staring at her, she’d figured out what he wanted.

Yuan Licheng’s face went dark as iron, clearly angered. He tossed out several Formation Stones, then sat down to form a formation. Instantly, an Array appeared outside, and one razor-sharp stream of killing intent after another swept toward the Chi Clan people.

At the same time, Bai Ruozhu’s Poison also began to take effect. The Chi Clan people, terrified, dodged the killing intent inside the Array, and then found themselves growing weaker and weaker, to the point that they couldn’t even lift their feet. One after another they collapsed limply to the ground.

As they collapsed from the Poison, their skin also softened quite a bit. Streams of killing intent carved bloody marks into their bodies, making them howl in pain.

”Alin, tell them to undo the Devil Vine. Otherwise they’ll just die here from the Poison. They only have the time of one incense stick to think it over. If I count to ten and they still don’t release us, they can just die here!” Bai Ruozhu said to Alin.

Alin immediately repeated her words verbatim in the Chi Clan language. The other side started cursing instead. Bai Ruozhu could see their attitude at a glance and sneered inwardly. Sometimes ignorance is fearless, but ignorance is also pitiful.

”One, two, three...” She began counting loudly. The Chi Clan people were still cursing at her, completely unaware that death was approaching. When she counted to five, the first Chi Clan person spat blood and fell, instantly stopping breathing. Only then did terror appear on the faces of the others.

”Six... seven...”

Bai Ruozhu continued counting as two more Chi Clan people spat blood and died. The remaining Chi Clan people instantly panicked.

”Eight...”

”Stop, stop! We’ll let you go. Don’t kill us!” the Chi Clan chief screamed miserably. Afraid that Alin would translate too slowly, he simply had his subordinates immediately loosen the Devil Vine net.
