Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 1896: Chapter 1886: Childbirth and Capture

Two more days passed like this. After his nap, Little Dengdeng came to find Bai Ruozhu to play. Bai Ruozhu told her son a story, and her face suddenly changed.

”Nanny Zhang, take Dengdeng back first, and don’t come here tonight.” She said calmly.

Nanny Zhang hesitated, then heard her say, ”I think I’m going into labor.”

Dengdeng perked up, ”I want to watch my little brother be born. I didn’t see myself being born, so I must see my brother being born!”

Bai Ruozhu burst out laughing. Who could see their own birth?

”Young master, be good. Madam is going to call the doctor now. It’s not convenient for you here. Go play with the mechanical box with nanny, okay?” Nanny Zhang coaxed Dengdeng a few times before he reluctantly left, but the child was filial. He kept looking back worriedly.

Bai Ruozhu tried hard to give her son a smile, ”Mom’s fine, don’t worry.”

Then, she slowly got up, with Min Xiang and Min Ju supporting her as she carefully lay back on the bed.

”Jianqi, send someone to inform the female physicians that my water broke, and also tell Achun, mom, and aunt.” She said to Jianqi outside the room.

Jianqi was a bit nervous. When he followed Bai Ruozhu before, she had already given birth to Dengdeng. As a man, it was his first time witnessing a woman giving birth, and somehow, he just got nervous.

Fortunately, he was always reliable. He promptly arranged for someone to go to the Female Physicians Institution at the Guest Palace and someone else to find Jiang Yichun. He also had the maids from the Residence notify Lin Ping’er and others.

Soon, Lin Ping’er, Bai Yihong, Jiao Ling, and others rushed to Bai Ruozhu’s yard.

”Ruozhu, how are you feeling now? Has the pain started?” Lin Ping’er asked worriedly. Even though it wasn’t her daughter’s first child, she was still nervous as her mother.

”Mom, it doesn’t hurt much yet, just my water broke. Don’t worry about me, take care of yourself.” Bai Ruozhu reminded.

Lin Ping’er was also pregnant, and Bai Yihong was supporting her, having someone bring a soft lounge for her to sit on.

Jiao Ling and Jianqi exchanged glances, quietly arranging everything that needed to be arranged.

Soon, three female physicians arrived and began to busy themselves with Bai Ruozhu. Min Xiang went to take care of Little Dengdeng, while Nanny Zhang came to lend a hand.

Very soon, it was lamp-lighting time, Bai Ruozhu instructed people to arrange meals in the kitchen, having everyone eat the meal in her yard. She herself ate half a bowl of noodles, saying it gave her strength to give birth since she had to deliver two.

Her eldest brother and second brother also returned home and came to cheer her on.

”Why hasn’t Xiaojiang come back yet? Cannot find him?” Lin Ping’er asked displeased.

”Madam, the son-in-law is out on an imperial decree and couldn’t be reached.” Jianqi lowered his head and said.

”It’s such a big event, giving birth, and we can’t see him?” Lin Ping’er snapped in anger, and Bai Yihong quickly advised, ”Xiaojiang is on duty with a task, it’s not like he went out to play. Besides, he’s surely the most anxious, he would definitely come back at the first moment he knows.”

But Lin Ping’er’s eyes were red, mumbling in a low voice, ”My poor daughter, last time, no one was with her either.”

When she said ”no one was with”, she wasn’t referring to family, but Bai Ruozhu’s husband.

Hiding in the shadows, Jiang Yichun frowned, he could do nothing too, didn’t he long to accompany her?

About half an hour later, Bai Ruozhu’s contractions intensified, her breathing became somewhat rapid, but it wasn’t at the point where the pain would make her pass out.

”The cervix has only opened a little,” Nanny Zhang glanced and spoke softly.

Bai Ruozhu said while deep breathing, ”It’s fine, just started, no rush.”

She had to remain relaxed; she couldn’t get stressed now.

Another two hours passed like this, the sky was completely dark, Bai Ruozhu’s cervix was still as small, and people outside were becoming increasingly anxious.

Jiang Yichun was even more hurried, he wished he could rush over to assist with the delivery, but Ruozhu instructed him not to reveal himself now.

”The fetal position is correct, as long as the cervix opens, it will be okay.” Wei Tianzhen said.

Bai Ruozhu patted her belly, gently saying, ”Babies, keep it up.”

Outside, Jiao Ling was worrying while watching the surroundings, while Fen Jiu was looking aloof with crossed arms, but in fact, was also observing the situation around.

Jianqi quickly received word, Bai Ruolan suddenly ran out of her room crazily at this time, went to the garden, and then headed over here. It was as if she knew nothing and just headed where the crowd was.

Under the moonlight, Bai Ruolan’s eyes flashed with hate, she thought her chance had come!

As midnight arrived, Lin Ping’er had already slept in the ear room next door, and finally, painful groans came from Bai Ruozhu, followed by Tian Fang’s excited shout: ”It’s out, it’s out!”

Immediately followed by the crying of a baby, everyone let out a big sigh of relief, and Lin Ping’er excitedly grabbed Bai Yihong’s hand, saying, ”Born, born! Wait, there’s another one!”

Everyone grew tense again, worried if Bai Ruozhu had the strength to deliver the second one.

Fortunately, Bai Ruozhu’s body was in good condition, soon another child was born, but the cry was smaller this time, clearly not as loud as before.

Bai Ruozhu’s bangs were completely soaked with sweat; she asked weakly while looking at the two children, ”Is it a boy or a girl?”

Nanny Zhang had just helped cut the umbilical cord, opened her mouth but didn’t speak, beside her Xiang Hongyun answered: ”There are two little masters!”

Bai Ruozhu was instantly dumbfounded, what? Little masters... little masters... two... two...

Her eyes rolled, about to faint, but Nanny Zhang caught her saying, ”Madam, don’t overthink, just take care of your body.”

Damn it, how could she not overthink? Right now, she just wanted to cry out loud, but she had no strength left, having carried two for so long, how could she give birth to two more boys? Was heaven so unfair?

She whimpered twice, too exhausted to continue making any noise, and finally could only close her eyes and lie down for a while.

Because they were smelly little boys, Bai Ruozhu didn’t even feel like looking. Nanny Zhang cleaned and wrapped the two children, placing them next to her, she snorted angrily.

”Ruolan, why are you here?” Bai Zehao’s voice came from outside, ”Go back and rest, don’t fool around here.”

”Play with me, play with me.” Bai Ruolan cried childishly, her hand waving as if randomly, but the palm showed a faint bluish color.

Suddenly, Jiao Ling rushed over and poured a bottle of medicine liquid on her head, shouting sternly: ”Let’s see if you can use your Poisonous Insect!”

A black figure flashed out, darting over to press Bai Ruolan’s acupuncture points, everyone felt a blur before their eyes, and when they saw clearly, Jiang Yichun had already drawn his sword to Bai Ruolan’s throat.
