Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Once again wrapping his arms around the giggling and blushing Ye Jian, as if she were tipsy, Xia Jinyuan looked at the pile of clothes yet to be tried on and teased again, ”We’ve spent too much time here, darling, try these on. You can’t just hog the space without buying anything, and keep the salesperson waiting.”

His Little Fox was kind-hearted and wouldn’t let the salesperson’s enthusiasm go to waste.

Ye Jian, also feeling she had taken up too much of the salesperson’s time, looked at the clothes yet to be tried on, slightly furrowed her brows, and asked, ”Do I have to try all these clothes?”

Xia Jinyuan smiled, ”You can pick and choose.”

Ye Jian, picking through them, selected all the skirts and sighed, ”Skip the skirts, pants are okay.”

Chinese New Year was coming, and it seemed she was short on casual clothes for a few years, so since they were out, she might as well buy a few pieces.

Typically, it was the ladies who loved to shop while the gentlemen unenthusiastically accompanied them, but with Ye Jian and Xia Jinyuan, the roles were switched—it was Ye Jian who was reluctant, while Xia Jinyuan was excited.

Ye Jian went back into the fitting room with a sigh of headache as she faced the pile of clothes again, and it started all over.

Meanwhile, outside, Xia Jinyuan received a call from Xia Yunyin, who, along with the enthusiastic Old Madam and old master, was staying back at the old mansion.

With the phone on speaker, both elders could hear Xia Jinyuan speak.

”Not very well, my girlfriend and those gold-digging girlfriends of yours are different. Shopping holds no appeal for her, and any ideas you have in the future, I’ll be ignoring outright.” Xia Jinyuan spoke indifferently, resolute in not admitting that he was quite interested, while Ye Jian was not very enthusiastic.

Before Xia Yunyin could respond, Old Madam exploded, ”Old Fifth, what kind of absurd plan did you come up with? You’ve made Little Six uncomfortable!”

Rubbing his sore head, Xia Yunyin felt wronged...

”All good ideas, I swear on my conscience! Tried and true, never failed!” Xia Yunyin himself was puzzled, as his usually successful plans seemed off when it came to his younger sister.

Listening by the side, the old master sighed and shook his head, speaking to his grandson on the phone, ”Little Six, Little Ye is different from those scheming girlfriends of Old Fifth, you took her to the wrong place. Go to the racetrack tomorrow, she might like that place, and the shooting range is also good, she might find these places to her liking.”

”Old Fifth opened a racetrack and a shooting range, Grandpa has been there twice, not bad, it’s just that it’s a bit of a drive to the suburbs.”

”Oh dear, grandma, if you hit me again, I really will end up in the hospital,” Xia Yunyin nearly cried as his head got hit hard by the Old Madam again.

Was it easy for him?

His brother was in love, but why was it him, the brother, who felt the pain?

It’s not a crime to be a brother!

However, he really hadn’t thought of the racetrack and shooting range because, at such places, girls mostly ended up watching and didn’t play.

Not only did Old Madam bang his head, but she also twisted his ear, ”Tomorrow you bring your brother and sister-in-law to the racetrack and shooting range, do you hear? If you come up with any more terrible ideas, I’ll show you what’s what!”

”Yes, yes, absolutely, I will obey,” Xia Yunyin pleaded continuously, his ear painfully twisted. Tomorrow, he would definitely accompany them all day long, to make Little Six happy, he would call some old friends to join them for a bit of competition too.

Whether sister-in-law likes it or not... that’s for Little Six to handle himself.

Sigh, being a brother is really tiring!

Brother is in love, why drag the other brother into it as a scapegoat?

Xia Yunyin was very frustrated, while Xia Jinyuan was very happy.
