Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

At 10:00 pm, the helicopter arrived on the ground. The bright light shone in front and illuminated the four figures who were quickly putting away their parachute bags. Ye Jian, who came down from the cabin door, stared at the four figures for a long time. She only retracted her gaze when the pilot in charge of flying the helicopter walked to her side.

The parachuting altitude of China’s paratroopers was generally between 400 meters and 800 meters. The lower the altitude of the parachute, the shorter the time they stayed in the air, which was more advantageous to the combat situation, but the risk factor was also correspondingly higher.

Just now, Captain Lei and the other three completed their parachute jump at a height of 280 meters. To be able to jump below 300 meters and above 1,000 meters was definitely not the training of ordinary paratroopers. Ye Jian was even sure that 280 meters was definitely not their lowest low altitude parachute jump. Perhaps they could complete it even if it was 100 meters!

However, to a rookie like her who had never parachuted before, completing a 280-meter jump was quite impressive!

”The exercise is over. Aren’t you leaving?” the pilot standing beside Ye Jian smiled and asked.

This was a very young pilot. He was also a special reconnaissance soldier in Captain Lei’s team. He could operate several different models, from helicopters to military helicopters.

It would take years for the country to groom a pilot who could operate several types of aircraft. If an accident were to happen, the comrades in the team would protect the pilot and retreat first.

Ye Jian, who was standing still, smiled and said, ”I’m shocked by your brilliance. I still need to catch my breath.” She looked at the figures who had completed their formation with their parachutes on their backs. Her eyes were filled with admiration as she said, ”It’s so risky to be a parachutist. Every time you parachute, you jump with your life. You can’t be afraid of death.”

Her admiration and emotions made the pilot beside her a little embarrassed. ”It’s nothing. Everyone is the same. It’s quite dangerous for you army soldiers as well.

”Like you, the danger you face is many times greater than that of ordinary soldiers.”

The missions carried out by the Xueyu unit were indeed very dangerous. Perhaps it was because Ye Jian was in awe of the airborne soldiers, but she still felt that it was more dangerous for them.

For example, if the parachute landed on a tree branch, one wouldn’t be able to land. Once the enemy was alerted, they would be used as targets. Or one could accidentally fall off a cliff, into deep waters, a swamp, or where the enemy was gathered… There were many uncertain factors.

Although every mission of the Xueyu unit had uncertain danger factors, they could at least reduce the danger through arrangements. It wasn’t like the airborne soldiers who were filled with endless unknown factors.

The pilot felt that the special forces female soldier beside him was very humble. She was so humble that he felt ashamed. He secretly glanced at the female soldier beside him from the corner of his eye. Seeing that her gaze was still filled with respect when she looked at the air force soldiers, the pilot suddenly remembered his comrades’ attitude toward Ye Jian and felt a little upset.

Their attitude toward the female soldier was cold and indifferent, but the female soldier’s attitude toward them was humble and respectful. The pilot pursed his lips and said sincerely, ”I’m sorry, Ye Jian. I apologize for our narrow-mindedness before this. Please forgive our ignorance.”

Hearing this, Ye Jian turned her head and smiled at the pilot. ”I was indeed a little unhappy at that time. However, it wasn’t because you guys were questioning me and were unhappy with me. It was because…”

The slight pause made the pilot’s heart sink a few times. He stammered, ”W-What is it?”
