Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

In three days, Ye Jian, who was a special forces soldier, gained a lot of experience. She saw all kinds of equipment and vehicles, such as chemical shower vehicles, riot-proof armored vehicles, riot-control vehicles, water-shooting vehicles, light vehicles, comprehensive maintenance vehicles, military camp vehicles… All kinds of special vehicles had their own roles and uses.

Ye Jian, who had the strongest retention, would occasionally get confused as she memorized the names of the special equipment vehicles.

Company Commander Zhu had seen Ye Jian muttering to herself a few times. However, every time he walked closer and wanted to understand, Ye Jian would shut up vigilantly. No matter how he asked, he couldn’t get an answer.

”What are you talking about? Are you wondering if you can approach to watch the experiment? Hahaha, don’t think about it anymore. You can’t watch it.

”We’re mainly in charge of guarding. We’re at least 50 kilometers away from the real experimental site. We can’t see it. However, we might be able to hear some movements.

”Last time, during the cruise missile test and the open-air missile test, the precise strike point was not far from us. That sound shook the ground until it trembled. You could smell the gunpowder from 20 kilometers away.

”Now, those missiles have been put to use. In less than three years, new experiments are being done. Every time I carry out such a mission, I’ll be excited for half a day.

”Instructor Ye, why do I feel that you’re… very calm? Is it because you’re a special forces soldier and you’re better than me in all aspects? Is that why you’re calmer than me?”

Was the company commander worried that Ye Jian would panic since it was her first time taking on such a mission? He kept chatting with Ye Jian from time to time. He mocked himself and teased Ye Jian. He talked too much, making Ye Jian a little worried.

Hearing this, Ye Jian sighed and said, ”I’m not calm. I’m memorizing the equipment that I’ve seen these few days. Every time I’m reaching the main points, you interrupt me. Look, I forgot which equipment I memorized just now.”

Company Commander Zhu’s lips twitched upon hearing this response. Then, he sighed. ”To be honest, Instructor Ye, every time I’m nervous or excited, I can’t help but talk more. Please bear with me until the experiment ends. Once I hear that the experiment is successful, I’ll definitely remain silent and not disturb you anymore.”

Ye Jian was even more worried now. The experiment time was set to start tomorrow at 3:00 pm. It was only 10:00 am now. There were 29 hours before the experiment time. Wouldn’t she have to listen to Company Commander Zhu’s chatters for another 29 hours?

Fortunately, the company commander needed to run around and wouldn’t disturb Ye Jian often. Thus, Ye Jian endured it.

She couldn’t bear to reject Company Commander Zhu, who hadn’t had a good rest since yesterday.

At 5:00 pm, Company Commander Zhu, who had disappeared for a few hours, stopped beside Ye Jian in a Warrior car. This time, he didn’t come to disturb Ye Jian. Instead, he needed to bring Ye Jian to the experimental center.

As for why Ye Jian was the only one going, Company Commander Zhu didn’t know either.

”I received a notice from the higher-ups to bring you over. When I asked why, they said we’ll only know when we get there.” That was what Company Commander Zhu explained to Ye Jian.

Ye Jian didn’t ask further. Since she didn’t know, she would know when she reached the experimental center.

Before getting into the car, Company Commander Zhu, who hadn’t slept for more than 24 hours, yawned several times. Ye Jian, who was about to get into the car, retracted her right leg and said to Company Commander Zhu, whose facial expressions couldn’t hide his fatigue, ”Rest for a while. I’ll drive.”
