Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Thinking back, Ye Jian felt that she had not been vigilant enough at that time. She didn’t even notice how far she had walked.

The position where the helicopter stopped was very well-hidden. If one didn’t look closer, one would think that it was a barren mountain in the desert. The rumbling of the propellers pulled Ye Jian back from Captain Lei’s exciting topic. Captain Lei also stopped the topic at the right time and brought Ye Jian to the helicopter that was ready to take off at any time.

This was a twin-engine, single-rotor reconnaissance, armed and attack helicopter. There were airborne soldiers carrying parachutes standing on both sides of the opened cabin door. When Ye Jian saw the two of them, respect instantly appeared in her serious eyes. Before Captain Lei could give any instructions, she jogged over and saluted the two airborne soldiers against the strong wind caused by the propellers.

The two soldiers were stunned for a moment. One of them muttered softly, ”Why are you so serious? No matter how serious you are, I won’t falsify the data.”

The voice belonged to Small Head, who Captain Lei nodded at.

Small Head and Big Head were twins. The two brothers joined the military together and entered the airborne military unit together. Then, they became special reconnaissance soldiers together. Their relationship was quite good.

Ye Jian’s arrival occupied the master seat that originally belonged to Big Head. As his younger brother, Small Head was a little unhappy, so he couldn’t help but be a little angry.

Fortunately, Ye Jian couldn’t see their expressions in the middle of the night. She couldn’t hear their mutterings either. Captain Lei patted her shoulder and pointed at the cabin, indicating for Ye Jian to enter.

The noise was too loud. There was no way to communicate. When one opened one’s mouth, one would breathe in the cold wind mixed with sand and dust. If one was not careful, one would choke and cough.

The cabin door was pulled closed, and the helicopter took off successfully. Captain Lei introduced Ye Jian to his comrades on the helicopter. There were four people on board, including the pilot, so that made six people in total including Ye Jian and Captain Lei.

When they saw Ye Jian, suspicion flashed past their eyes.

Such a beautiful female soldier with delicate skin… They had seen her information before this. Was it fake?

How could she be so delicate after high-intensity training every day?

It had to be said that Ye Jian’s fair skin that couldn’t be tanned was extremely deceiving. Before seeing her strength, people would question her ability.

After seeing her display of skills, they would have lingering fear. Only then did they know that one couldn’t judge a book by its cover.

The pilot was responsible for the helicopter taking off and landing. Ye Jian was in charge of destroying the ground targets immediately. Small Head and another soldier were in charge of covering them immediately after landing. Captain Lei would be the last to complete the landing and was in charge of bringing up the rear.

If Ye Jian was included, she would be in charge of bringing up the rear.

The six special forces scouts were a combat team. They had a clear division of labor and could alternate in combat to complete the deep combat.

”Do you see the red flashing target on the ground? When the helicopter descends to 500 meters, you need to complete one shot. At 400 meters, you need to complete one more. At 300 meters, complete the last shot. You have a total of three chances to destroy the targets. If you fail to complete the shooting three times, it’ll be a failure.”

Ye Jian, who had already set up her sniper rifle, nodded and made an ’OK’ gesture.

She was confident that she could snipe her targets.

Seeing that Ye Jian’s reply was relaxed, Small Head couldn’t help but remind her, ”The failure on your side doesn’t mean that you’ll fail alone. It means that our entire mission will fail. If we go to a real battlefield, your failure might cause all our comrades to die without a burial place…”

He didn’t mean to scare Ye Jian. But if one of the soldiers failed, all of them might die.

Airborne combat was a special combat. They usually learned how to fight in depth. They were surrounded by enemies.

Once exposed, they would face enemies on all four sides.

Ye Jian could tell that the other party was questioning her. There was a hint of opinion in his tone. She didn’t like to talk much, so she pursed her lips and silently acknowledged what he said.
