Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

When the students received the same reply as before, they were so disappointed that they heaved long sighs. Just as they were about to say something, a boy who was going to change into his street dance clothes ran over. He panted and shouted excitedly, ”Instructor!” Then, he said to his classmates, ”Friends, there’ll be a huge surprise waiting for you tonight! I’ll invite the instructor to a place first. You can continue chatting!

”Remember, there’s a huge surprise today. You’ll definitely scream!”

Ha, he was already excited.

”Instructor, the instructor of the first class has invited you over. He said that he has something to discuss with you.” The boy took Ye Jian away under the sparkling eyes of all the students. The students who were purely audience members whispered to each other and guessed what the surprise would be.

”Meng Meng, what did you plan behind my back? You’re the squad leader that I personally chose. You can’t hide anything from an instructor like me.”

On the way, Ye Jian started to pry information from the guy, Meng Meng, to find out what the so-called ’surprise’ was.

Her instincts told her that this surprise… had a lot to do with her!

The instructor of the first company was Song Zhiqiu. Could it be that the ’surprise’ had something to do with him? Or was he the one who planned it?

Meng Meng laughed like a thief. The tall and skinny boy, who knew how to dance, kept the secret to himself. He shook his head and said, ”I don’t know either. Instructor, you’ll know when you get there.”

”You really don’t know? Ha, I know that this surprise has something to do with me. Since you came to inform me, how can you not know?”

”I really don’t know. I’m just in charge of passing the message. I don’t know anything else. Instructor, I’m mute now. I won’t be able to answer you.”

Instructor Song had reminded him not to be tricked by Instructor Ye because she was very smart. If he wasn’t careful, she would guess the surprise they had planned.

Meng Meng, who had remembered Song Zhiqiu’s advice, decided to pretend to be mute from this second onward!

Ye Jian smiled and didn’t probe further.

If she continued asking, she would be able to pry out what the ’surprise’ was.

After passing through the sports ground, they went around a blue sports ground and walked through a tree-lined path with towering trees on both sides. They finally arrived at their destination.

This was the secret base of a certain club in Xiangnan University.

The place was built with red bricks from the 1980s. Back then, it didn’t have any paint and looked like it came from a certain era. However, it had been renovated and looked modern now.

Ye Jian walked up the stairs. As soon as she reached the second floor, she heard the sonorous music. Ye Jian stopped in her tracks. Her black eyes, which were still smiling just now, became depressed at a speed visible to the naked eye. It was like an unfathomable sea. It made people’s hearts ache.

Ambush from Ten Sides…

She could hear the music inside. This was their ’surprise’. They wanted her to dance Ambush from Ten Sides again. As it turned out, this was the surprise the instructors would give the students.

And yet…

Ye Jian closed her eyes gently and suppressed the tears that were about to fall.

Ambush from Ten Sides was the song she used to commemorate her comrade, J5. It wasn’t a surprise. It was the sorrow in her heart that still hurt to this day.

Meng Meng, who was half a step behind, noticed something amiss. He even saw weakness and… sorrow on Ye Jian’s face.

What was going on?

”Instructor Ye, you…”

The boy opened his mouth nervously. He wanted to ask what was wrong, but he keenly felt that even if he did, the instructor would not answer truthfully.

”I’m fine. Let’s go.”
