Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Hence, Ye Jian threw away the worry in her heart and sat in a circle with the students. She smiled and said, ”Since they’re coming here, let’s fight. Tomorrow, you have to shout the slogan and walk in an orderly manner. Also, remember to eat your breakfast. Only when you’re full will you have the energy to work. Do you understand?”

”We understand!”

The young and energetic students replied to Ye Jian in their loudest voices.

If more than 1,300 students formed a circle on the sports ground and spent the last night of their military training, it would also be a night for the students to show off. The event would start at 7:30 and end at 9:30. It would be two and a half hours. That would be the time for the students to show off.

Ye Jian’s class proposed four programs. In the end, two programs were chosen. One was a street dance performance that would be done by nine students. The other one was a musical performance. Besides the lute player, the other three students came from other classes.

Ye Jian had only seen the street dance rehearsal of her class. There were seven boys and two girls. Ye Jian kept clapping when she saw them dancing. The music coupled with the ostentatious and powerful body movements completely stunned Ye Jian.

When the nine students saw their instructor clapping until their palms were red, their confidence increased greatly. They rehearsed even more diligently and wanted to achieve the best effect.

As for the musical performance, Ye Jian had never seen the students rehearsing before. She didn’t even know where they were rehearsing. This afternoon, she wanted to take a look, so she asked the girl who was playing the lute where they were practicing so that she could take a look. In the end… the girl ran away with a smile and said that it was a secret.

Secret… Even an instructor like her was not privy to this information.

The event hadn’t started. Ye Jian, who was chatting with the students, listened to their thoughts on the nine days of military training quietly. As it was the last night of military training, the students’ laughter had a hint of disappointment. Even when they spoke, there was a hint of sorrow in their voices.

As they chatted, they talked about old topics… They asked for contact methods.

”Instructor, just give us your contact method secretly. We won’t tell anyone, okay?”

”That’s right. We won’t tell anyone. Just give it to us. We know that all the instructors are military school students from the National Science University. Look, our schools aren’t too far apart. We’ll be able to keep in touch.”

”That’s right. We won’t go over to look for you often. It’s just that we’ll occasionally contact each other like friends. Instructor, give us your contact method.”

Actually, it was easy to look for Ye Jian at the National Science University. Almost all the sentinels at the sentry post knew Ye Jian. The main reason was that they wouldn’t let anyone in.

Ye Jian’s reply was the same as before. She shook her head and smiled. ”This is the rule. After the military training, we are not allowed to write or call the students. We are not allowed to leave our contact methods. You can’t get me to violate the rules.

”Strict discipline is the basic requirement of soldiers. To us soldiers, rules are absolute. No one can violate it or ignore it.

”If I give you my contact method today, it’ll be a small matter that you’ll forget when you turn around. However, to me, it’s not a small matter. I would’ve violated the rules and regulations. I would’ve violated the rules that a soldier should follow.

”That’s why no matter what you say, I won’t break the iron rules.”
