Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

If the mine collapsed, both them and the machines would’ve been buried deep beneath. This meant that this place would become an abandoned place and there would be no more work.

Five kilometers away from the mine, the Xueyu unit and the Storm Commando Brigade changed trucks. The Xueyu unit protected the Chinese workers who were successfully rescued. The Storm Commando Brigade soldiers rested after swapping trucks.

A total of four trucks were driven out. The comrades of the Xueyu unit were also divided into two groups. One group was with the water ghosts while the other group was left to protect the hostages.

As for Ye Jian, she was on a mission with the water ghosts of Storm Commando, so she naturally had to return to the team. However… she didn’t return. She was pulled back by Xia Jinyuan and continued to ride with him to protect the Chinese workers.

The Chinese workers turned around and looked at the mine they had lived in for almost a year. A technician cursed in a low voice. He was resigned and angry.

A worker at the side patted his shoulder lightly and smiled. ”Don’t be upset. Just move to another place. At least we’re still alive. We can do anything we want.”

”One year of surveying and one year of mining, but everything was destroyed in one night Alas…” The technician scratched his head furiously and wiped the rainwater off his face. He gritted his teeth and said, ”I wonder where these bastards got their information from. It’s good that they were killed!”

The technician was in charge of mechanical technology. He had followed the rest of the workers from the moment they went down the mine to the moment they mined the resources they wanted. He was a witness.

Now, their hard work had to be destroyed because they were targeted by the outside world. He was so sad that he secretly cried a few times.

When he was kidnapped, he was very afraid. However, he didn’t cry. Now… he was crying until his nose was stuffed.

”It’s alright, it’s alright. Everything will be fine as long as we’re still alive. Let’s ask about Engineer Ding’s injuries first. I wonder if his leg can be saved.”

The technician looked at the shelter that the four Chinese ’peacekeeping’ soldiers had temporarily set up. After staring for a while, he turned around and said in a low voice, ”He should still be undergoing treatment. We’ll ask later. I wonder if Engineer Ding can keep his leg.”

”Alas…” The worker sighed. It wasn’t up to them whether his leg would be fine or not. They would have to see what the military surgeon had to say.

”Rest for a while. We’ll ask the military surgeon when he comes out.”

When the Chinese workers sitting next to each other heard this, they didn’t speak in low voices anymore. They leaned against each other and wobbled out of the rainforest.

The Chinese workers who were rescued didn’t know that the people who saved them were special forces soldiers sent by the country. They thought that they were peacekeepers. Even Engineer Ding, who was getting his wound treated, thought so too.

Engineer Ding was the person in charge whose knee had been shot. He was the chief engineer in charge of the transfer of important machinery in the entire mine. The illegal militants didn’t target him at first. Instead, they targeted another Chinese worker. He was the one who walked out and told the other party that he was the person in charge. If anything happened, they should come for him.

In the end, he took a bullet to his knee. The Chinese workers saw him in so much pain that his facial nerves were twitching. Even then, they didn’t see him make a sound.

The other party asked what kind of mine this was. Engineer Ding said there was gold, copper, and manganese… He even handed over a list of materials that he brought with him at any time and told the other party that they had just sent out a batch of manganese the day before yesterday. It wasn’t much, about 50 kilograms.

He was afraid that the other party wouldn’t believe him, so he even showed the other party his cell phone message.

It was because of Engineer Ding’s cooperation that the illegal militants didn’t make things too difficult for them. They asked the other Chinese workers too. Since Engineer Ding had said so, they followed this direction. In the end, even the other party believed that they were just mining gold, copper, and manganese.
