Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

At the request of his comrades, the comrade driving said in a low voice, ”Sit tight and don’t bounce out.” He stepped on the accelerator, and Xia Jinyuan leaned back due to inertia. The speed of the truck instantly increased to 100 miles per hour.

The comrades behind grabbed the side panel of the compartment tightly. They squeezed each other and held each other’s hands. The entire journey was like a roller coaster. The speed was too fast, and the rain hit their faces.

The water ghosts had already started moving. The soldiers from the two troops outside continued to keep an eye on things. If anything happened, they would immediately inform the people inside. This way, they wouldn’t be unaware of what was going on in the outside world. It would also be easier for the water ghosts to infiltrate the mine.

If they wanted to infiltrate the mine, they had to pass the electric net first. It wasn’t difficult for the water ghosts. With tools, it was easy to destroy the electric net.

The mine was very big and protected by the electric net. The illegal militants only strengthened the security of the mine’s exit and didn’t watch their surroundings too closely. The water ghosts found a breakthrough and cut a hole in the electric net before entering the mine.

Ye Jian, who was smaller than the male soldiers, entered first. After entering, she immediately found a hiding spot and stared at her surroundings. When she was sure that it was safe, she said softly, ”Follow.”

The water ghosts hiding outside infiltrated the mine at the fastest speed.

The scout, Seaweed, and Sea Anemone continued to open the way. Big Eel and Big Squid covered the back while Ye Jian walked in the middle. Demon King Li and the other four brought up the rear. The group of 16 people settled in their positions and headed to the mine on high alert.

Ye Jian had already memorized the map of the entire mine and the buildings in her heart. Occasionally, she would act as a directional sign and take a shortcut to get closer to the mine.

The forest outside the mine was green, and piles of waste stones could be seen everywhere in the mine. Bending over, they passed through the pile of waste stones and headed toward the entrance of the mine.

The Chinese workers weren’t in the cafeteria, dormitory, office, or living area. The only place that hadn’t been checked was the mine. There was a high possibility that the 12 Chinese workers were in the mine.

The rain was falling, and there was water in the mine. When they stepped onto the puddles, the water instantly turned gray and turbid. Rainwater flowed down from the waste pile, and there were small streams everywhere.

Normally, there would be workers redirecting the water. But now, as the water accumulated, the soldiers found their shoes getting wet in some areas.

Ye Jian, whose military boots were already soaked in the rainwater, stepped lightly on the sharp edges and corners. She looked at her comrades in front and hunched over as they moved forward quickly.

Everything happened silently. Every comrade was very stable and didn’t have any impetuousness.

This was their second hostage rescue after arriving in Libya. Compared to the first time, Ye Jian could tell that the water ghosts were much more skilled and their search speed was much faster.

Hide, spy, advance… They alternately entered the depths of the mine.

”Right, three o’clock, four-man sentry position.”

”Roger!”

”There’s still one kilometer left. Go around the left side of the mine car track. There’s a lot of waste, so it’s easier to hide.”

”Someone’s approaching! Hide!”

The black shadow, who had already touched the tracks of the mine cart that was extended from the mine, placed one hand on the ground and immediately lay down. He waited for the sound of footsteps to pass.

After a while, he heard another clang. It was a mine cart transporting ore. Ye Jian raised her head slightly and looked in the direction of the track.

The peacekeeping soldier who was staring outside whispered, ”There’s a situation. Two Jeeps are here. Six guys with aluminum tools in suitcases got out of the Jeeps. They’re Western Caucasians.

”We were too far away to hear what was said. The guys guarding outside are checking the toolboxes in the hands of the six people.”
