Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The rain washed the city that had been ravaged by the flames of war. In the dark, women were hugging their children and the old were guarding their dilapidated houses. From time to time, they would wake up from their dreams with fear. After a long time, they would close their eyes again.

In a war-torn country, it was a luxury for civilians to be able to sleep.

Tonight was destined to be a restless night. The Libyan government was already extremely busy. As for the 64 mine workers who had been kidnapped by illegal militants, the Libyan government expressed that they were helpless in the face of the current situation.

The workers of the mine were being subdued by illegal militants. The Chinese had sent their own soldiers to rescue them. The Libyan government had yet to make any moves.

China had been communicating with the Libyan government. They hoped that the Libyan government could help the ’peacekeeping’ soldiers that China had sent for the rescue mission. They could only be considered ’peacekeeping’ soldiers. They couldn’t be said to be other soldiers sent by China. After several rounds of communication, the Libyan government’s reply was still that they were helpless.

They really wanted to send soldiers to rescue the Libyan workers, but they really didn’t have any extra soldiers to specially rescue the 64 Libyan workers who didn’t listen to their arrangements.

Resignedly, Libya told China clearly, ”Our soldiers will do our best to protect the civilians of Libya. They need to protect Yeni, the town of Covil, the capital of Libya, and the civilians of Libya in all states. We can only choose to give up on the civilians who disobeyed the arrangements.”

Yes, Libya clearly told the Chinese that they had given up on the 64 workers.

Major General Yang could hear the sorrow of the Libyan government official.

He wanted to protect the citizens of Libya, but reality forced him to make the most resigned and painful choice.

There was nothing he could do. He was… really helpless.

After many failed attempts, Major General Yang finally hung up the phone. The green blood vessels on the back of his hand were protruding.

He spoke to the navy commander-in-chief and told him about the Libyan government’s decision. Then, he heard the sound of the folder being thrown out.

”It’s fine if they won’t rescue the workers, but they can’t even provide transportation. They’re placing all their hope on our country’s soldiers! Old Yang, those are soldiers that we carefully nurtured! I… I haven’t slept until now. I’m afraid that something will happen to them!”

Ever since the water ghosts of the Storm Commando Brigade went overseas for a mission, the navy commander-in-chief had never closed his eyes. No matter how tired he was, he would only sleep for a while before waking up immediately. The soldiers sent out were all elites who had been polished for years. Moreover, they were the first batch of marine frogmen special forces soldiers in the navy. All of them carried the hope of the country. The country was hoping that after they came back, they could nurture future generations of marine special forces for the navy.

Even if something happened to one of them, the navy’s commander-in-chief would feel a great loss.

Major General Yang could understand the commander-in-chief’s feelings very well. He felt the same way too.

He sighed and said, ”Old Dong, calm down. There’s indeed nothing they can do. As for us, we’ll definitely save all the Chinese workers and then save the Libyan workers. We’ll save them if we can.

”Contact your soldiers and tell them that a company that once fought with them has already rushed over. If they join forces, they’ll definitely be able to kill all those bastards!”
