The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 850: Chapter 850: Kill Her and Still Be Number One

Jayceon Collins leaned back in a lounge chair, his eyes closed, as if he was asleep; however, his heart was anything but calm.

Samantha Tate was lying in Carson Flores’s arms, ’cozy as could be’!

Thinking of this, Jayceon’s heart surged with uncontrollable anger.

He had initially planned to take advantage of Samantha’s recent arrival to subdue her, then use some methods to make her his Taoist partner, totally obedient to his will, but now it seemed that this was clearly impossible.

A fierce murderous intent arose in Jayceon’s heart—no matter if you have a Five Elements Spiritual Body, or an Innate Taoist Body, you can only strut around if you at least reach the Divinity Transformation Realm; otherwise, you’re nothing.

As long as Samantha Tate died, wouldn’t he still be the foremost among the third generation disciples of the Heavenly Mountain Cave?

As a key protection target of the Sect, she surely had the Cave Master’s Primordial Spirit Projection on her. Whoever killed her would not escape the scrutiny of the Cave Master’s Primordial Spirit Projection. In other words, he absolutely couldn’t kill Samantha Tate himself; he could only kill her by proxy, making use of opportunities when she was out to plot her death.

For example, disciples from other sects, or demonic beasts.

This matter couldn’t be planned, because any plan could potentially give away clues, and even if the person died, the truth might still be discovered by someone using the Soul Search technique. Therefore, he couldn’t be involved in this; he could only adapt to circumstances as they arose, but he didn’t know if fate would give him this chance.

As Jayceon was carefully considering in his heart, suddenly, an astonishing boom sounded from the distant horizon, and at the same time, a dazzling radiance soared into the sky.

Everyone turned their heads to look, their eyes widening at the same time.

”A divine object has appeared!”

All at once, everyone stood up; Jayceon shouted lowly, ”Let’s go!”

Elder Ridge Hamilton had already thrown out a Flying Boat, ”Get on the Flying Boat!”

Not far away, Samantha Tate and Carson were also staring at the dazzling radiance in the distance. Samantha jumped down from Carson’s embrace, exclaiming with joy, ”A divine object has appeared, let’s hurry over.”

The two rushed towards the camp’s Flying Boat, with Carson quietly instructing her, ”There will be many fighting for it later, and a battle is inevitable. Don’t run around blindly, and don’t act recklessly.”

Samantha paused, then obediently replied, ”I’ll follow you.”

”Good!”

Carson was with the people of the Heavenly Mountain Cave; in their group, there were several Nascent Souls, including Jayceon, who had reached Nascent Soul Great Perfection, and Ridge Hamilton, a Divinity Transformation Stage powerhouse. There would be no chance for him to snatch the divine object.

Watch the show!

Safety first!

The Flying Boat sped toward the sky’s radiance like lightning; meanwhile, from all around, more flying boats and figures rose rapidly from the wilderness, hurtling toward the distant light.

After flying for about twenty minutes, the glow was now right before their eyes.

The radiance was spurting from the ground, where a massive hole spanning over a hundred meters in diameter had appeared, emitting searing heat and sparks frenziedly outward.

Looking down from the sky, below the vast hole was a river of scarlet liquid flowing.

Lava!

The lava bubbled continuously, emitting torrid heat, and that glow was shooting out from beneath it.

In the sky, many Flying Boats were already hovering, along with figures flying freely, and even many demonic beasts flying midair, lurking in the darkness, waiting to strike.

”It must be a Fire-type Divine Object, I just don’t know what it is that carries such might, transforming the entire underground into a lava pool with its power alone!”

Ridge Hamilton’s expression was solemn as his gaze swept over the various figures in the sky, murmuring, ”Once the fight starts, don’t get involved. Stay far back. Jayceon, you don’t have to join the battle. Your task is to protect Samantha Tate and ensure she doesn’t get hurt.”

A hint of displeasure flickered through Ridge Hamilton’s eyes—who wouldn’t want a divine object? You’re telling me to stay out of it, yet have me play bodyguard to Samantha Tate?

As disgruntled as he was, Ridge Hamilton could only clasp his hands in agreement, ”Yes, uncle-master.”

The lava pool was becoming more violently turbulent, its size expanding, and the heat in the air rising ever higher, while the glow grew increasingly intense.

”It’s coming out!”

”It must be a Fire-type Spiritual Treasure, and undoubtedly a powerful one at that.”

”With so many people, a brutal battle seems inevitable.”

”Stay far away, scared.”

Seeing the scene unfold, many in the sky began to retreat backwards, fearing they would be dragged into the fray.

”Boom!”

The lava pool suddenly exploded, with scalding molten rock bursting forth, surging out like a gigantic water dragon, sprinkling down on the people around.

Amidst the lava, a lamp flew into the sky, radiance filling the heavens, and its true form was revealed.

It was a golden lamp with a base like that of a Ninth-Grade Lotus Platform in full bloom and a crane beak of peculiar design on top; within the beak, a purple flame quietly burned.

This flame, the size of a broad bean, burned serenely—not even the wildest gust of wind could make it waver.

”Flying Crane Divine Lotus Lamp!”

The majority of people suddenly widened their eyes, their gazes flickering with unbounded greed.
