The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 839: Chapter 839: Delaney Hunter Is Stunned

”Mom, I just heard the news, Dad has arrived in the Eastern Victorious State. Though he was being chased by killers, two mighty Demon Kings came to help, and now he’s out of danger,”

In their Cave Mansion, Lucy Frost was cooking, and Carson Flores was lending a hand while relaying the news about his father to his mother.

Lucy Frost paused in her chopping for a moment, then resumed as if nothing had happened, ”As long as he’s safe, that’s good.”

Carson Flores consoled her, ”As the heir to the Demon Emperor, he is an exalted being among the Demon Race. Now that he’s back in the territory of his people, there’s no more danger. You don’t have to worry, Mom. Focus on your cultivation, and the day when you can see each other again will naturally come.”

Lucy Frost sighed, ”Who knows if he will still be the same person after all this? But the fact that he survives such a desperate situation is already a miracle. It’s good that he’s alive.”

After a pause, Lucy Frost turned to console Carson Flores, ”You don’t need to worry about this. Take care of yourself, and just live your life well.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”My Sword Bone has been fully cultivated. Just wait until I make a breakthrough and enter the Nascent Soul Realm. By then, I’ll be thrashing Nascent Soul enemies. Mom, you have to keep up your efforts, too.”

Lucy Frost chuckled, ”Alright. Although my talent is far behind yours, I will try my best. By the way, when are you planning to look for Mary and Samantha?”

Carson Flores replied, ”I’ll go after I’ve made the breakthrough to Nascent Soul.”

This had been Carson Flores’s plan for quite some time. There was still a fair amount of time before the opening of the True Dragon Secret Realm, so he planned to use this time to visit Shirley Miller and Samantha Tate.

Shirley Miller had inherited her master’s strength, which was rapidly increasing. She had quite a status within her sect, so Carson Flores wasn’t too worried about her. But it had already been almost two years since he had seen Samantha Tate. She had been ill when she first entered Heavenly Mountain—as just an ordinary person—and he did not know if she had started on the path of cultivation.

Once he advanced to the Nascent Soul, he would also have a greater power for self-defense. Coupled with the protection of Tobias Singleton, a guard at the Divinity Transformation Stage, Carson Flores would practically have the confidence to travel anywhere under heaven.

Being a direct disciple of the Cave Master of Nutwood Mountain, he figured he would surely be able to enter Heavenly Mountain and Rajevols.

Having settled his worried mother with the news about his father, Carson Flores began his seclusion.

He took out an Enlightenment Fruit and swallowed it down.

The Enlightenment Fruit was sweet, with a texture somewhat similar to an apple. Upon eating it, Carson Flores quickly felt some miraculous changes occurring in his body.

His senses seemed to become sharper, his mind more ethereal, and he could vaguely sense the invisible barriers.

It was a mysterious feeling.

Carson Flores began earnestly searching for that ”door.” This search lasted for three days, and even as the mysterious sensation slowly faded, he still hadn’t located the ”door” explicitly.

Carson Flores continued by consuming a second Enlightenment Fruit, immersing himself in that mysterious sensation once again.

Three more days passed, and he took the third fruit.

The feeling became clearer and clearer. On the ninth day, Carson Flores finally caught a fleeting heartbeat and touched the ”door” hidden within the barrier with pinpoint accuracy.

He found it!

Carson Flores was overjoyed. He focused his attention on the door, and as his mental energy continuously infiltrated it, like tracing lines in his mind, the contours of the door became clearer and clearer until they were complete and distinct.

Carson Flores tried hard to push through that door, and at last, he managed to open it bit by bit.

He stepped into a new world.

A massive amount of pure Spiritual Energy from heaven and earth crazily gathered from atop Flying Waterfall Mountain Peak and poured into Carson Flores’s body.

The Golden Core cracked like an eggshell, and out crawled a purple little person.

This little person bore an almost identical face to Carson Flores, or rather said, this little person was a miniature version of Carson Flores.

Golden Core transformed into Nascent Soul!

Delaney Hunter stood at a distance, watching the Spiritual Energy rush in like mad, a look of pleasant surprise on her face.

The kid has successfully made the Breakthrough!

With just three Enlightenment Fruits, he had bypassed the bottleneck, saving time and immediately starting his journey to the next stage. With such talent, speed of cultivation, and good fortune, it looks as though Nutwood Mountain is about to have another exceptional being.

The Spiritual Energy poured in furiously, lasting a full half-hour, leaving even Delaney Hunter dumbstruck.

Half an hour!

For most people, the influx of Spiritual Energy that followed the successful transformation from Golden Core to Nascent Soul would typically last about ten minutes, providing the freshly advanced Cultivator with the energy required for transformation. But Carson Flores’s absorption lasted a crazy half hour, three times longer than others!

That’s just incredible.

Could it be that Carson Flores’s initial Nascent Soul strength is already so much higher than that of other Nascent Soul Cultivators?
