The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 814: Chapter 814: My Nutwood Disciples Can Be Killed, But Kahdas Disciples Cannot?

Bryant James’s face was cold, his thoughts whirring at breakneck speed.

This scene was totally unexpected to him.

That dog Tobias Singleton, failing to kill his mark and exposing his identity, should have just run far away—how dare he show up here again?

Such audacity!

In the blink of an eye, he had a prepared statement in mind.

”Carson Flores came to Mount Kahdas and got into an argument with several Kahdas disciples, which escalated into a fight, injuring many disciples. One of them was my cousin, Brecken James of the Celestial Pivot Peak. He asked me to deal with Carson Flores. However, if I personally took action on Mount Kahdas, it would undoubtedly be seen as an abuse of power and damage the reputation of Kahdas.”

Bryant James said candidly, ”That’s why I let Tobias Singleton, who just reached Divinity Transformation, take action. If Carson escaped, we would drop the matter and consider it a lesson for him. If he died, then so be it. How can Kahdas disciples allow themselves to be insulted?”

Carson Flores’s eyes widened in surprise.

Well, that’s rather clever.

What was originally a narrow-minded and petty act had now been portrayed as a noble battle for the dignity of Kahdas.

This guy must have been certain that I wouldn’t discuss the private matters between my father and Adelaide Bautista. After all, such matters are private, and exposing them would be bad for everyone involved, most importantly hurting Adelaide.

Adelaide was so good to me, even passing on the Great Secret Technique, the Ground Shrinking Technique, so of course, I wouldn’t drag her into this mess.

Benson Bernard turned his head to Carson Flores, ”Junior Brother, is what he said true?”

Carson Flores replied with a smile, ”His cousin bullied others and insulted other disciples. I couldn’t stand it, so I stepped in to stop him and taught him a lesson. Of course, this is an internal matter of Kahdas disciples, and as an outsider, I may have overstepped. That much is true.”

Benson Bernard nodded, ”As a son of Kahdas, if you truly felt that a Kahdas disciple had been humiliated, you should have stood up and dealt with the matter openly and honorably. Secretly sending someone to assassinate, such underhanded behavior is truly despicable. My junior brother was lucky to survive. Therefore, I won’t kill you today, but you must pay a price for your actions.”

Bryant James said coldly, ”What price?”

Benson Bernard stepped forward, reaching out to grab Bryant James.

Bryant James was shocked. He hadn’t expected Benson Bernard to act so decisively. He hurriedly retreated backward, and at the same time, the several hundred feet tall Eight-Armed Arhat appeared behind him once again.

”Please, show mercy!”

An elderly voice rang out, and suddenly in the sky, a Sky-covering Giant Hand appeared, striking out toward Benson Bernard, vast and eclipsing the sun.

Benson Bernard looked undisturbed, casually raised his hand, formed a seal, and slapped toward the sky.

The Sky-covering Giant Hand, roaring with thunderous force, seemed about to land on Benson Bernard’s head but came upon an invisible barrier, unable to press down any further.

The next second, the hand collapsed outright.

Unmoved, Benson Bernard took another step forward, already in front of Bryant James. Looking at the several hundred feet tall deity-like Eight-Armed Arhat, he said indifferently, ”The Innate Taoist Body is indeed extraordinary. But with the exceptional gifts bestowed upon you by the heavens, you should bear greater responsibility, not abuse your talents to trample over the lives of others.”

The Eight-Armed Arhat swung its various weapons at Benson Bernard, who nonchalantly swatted the fierce strikes away, deflecting them to the side with a single palm.

Benson Bernard pointed his fingers like a sword, drawing casually in the air.

”I sever an arm of your illusory form as punishment. Should you repeat your offense, no matter if you are born with an Innate Taoist Body or a son of Kahdas, I will take your life.”

A figure, swift as lightning, shot from the distant Flying Boat on Mount Kahdas, and the elderly voice boomed like rolling thunder,

”Benson Bernard, how dare you!”

With Benson Bernard’s simple gesture, a black line, quivering with strong spatial fluctuations as if cutting through the firmament, appeared in the sky.

The line swiped across the shoulder of the Eight-Armed Arhat, and a huge arm, previously wielding weapons as large as houses, was severed from the Arhat’s shoulder, plummeting to the ground and smashing a mountainside before dissipating into Golden Light and fading into the air.

Carson Flores was left in shock, his gaze fixed on the Arhat’s shoulder, where a colossal gap shimmered with intense Golden Light but with tinges of sinister black mixed within.

As the arm of the Eight-Armed Arhat was severed, Bryant James’s complexion turned deathly pale; a mouthful of blood spurted out, and his whole demeanour suddenly wilted, his eyes filled with terror.

The Eight-Armed Arhat was an illusory form, which could recover from damage if summoned again. But now he realized that the arm could not be restored!

The Eight-Armed Arhat had become a Seven-Armed Arhat, its strength greatly diminished. Moreover, due to the mysterious connection between him and the illusory form, he himself had been severely wounded, suffering internal injuries that likely wouldn’t heal for a year or half a year.

The white-haired elder, having arrived in a flash, saw this scene and flew into a rage, ”Benson Bernard, you’re destroying Kahdas’s future, do you want to start a war with us Kahdas?”

Benson Bernard remained calm, ”The Innate Taoist Body is a rare occurrence once in a thousand years, which is exactly why I spared him once. A minor punishment as a serious warning. Otherwise, based solely on his attempt to murder my junior brother, he would be dead by now. What, are your Kahdas’ disciples untouchable, but mine from Nutwood can be killed without consequence?”
