The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 832: Chapter 832: This Wave is a Huge Profit!

”Carson, you must take your mother away as soon as possible, it would be best to bring her to Nutwood Heavenly Cave,”

Adelaide Bautista softly reminded, ”Moreover, with Bryant James having lost face because of you this time, given his narrow-mindedness, he might harbor thoughts of revenge and target your mother.”

Carson Flores’s expression changed slightly as he mulled over Adelaide’s words; there was indeed a problem.

This time, Bryant James’s deceitful and petty nature had been exposed by Carson himself, and the eldest disciple had punished him by severing one of his Eight-Armed Arhat limbs as a warning. Given James’s character, he would surely seek revenge. Carson was safe in Nutwood Heavenly Cave with his master and senior brother to protect him, but his mother staying at Mount Kahdas was in danger.

As a son of Kahdas, Bryant James obviously held an extremely high position there; a single glance from him, or even without saying a word, would naturally have countless people eager to curry favor with him—perhaps this would lead to numerous plots and schemes directed towards his mother.

Furthermore, once his father’s identity as the Demon Emperor Heir was exposed, some could try to restrain or even threaten his father by targeting either himself or his mother. If his mother were alone in Mount Kahdas and something unexpected happened, she would be completely powerless to resist.

Carson immediately nodded, ”Okay, I’ll go to Mount Kahdas right away and bring my mother out.”

Adelaide shook her head, ”You shouldn’t go to Mount Kahdas—Bryant James has been injured, and surely many people there are harboring resentment against you right now.”

After reflecting on it, Carson said, ”Then I’ll ask Marcellus Foster to handle this matter. Right now, the problem with the Demon Emperor Heir identity has not been exposed, and no one is paying attention. Getting her out shouldn’t be an issue.”

Adelaide nodded with approval, ”That’s possible, and taking a Foster family Flying Boat would be very safe.”

”I’ll take care of it as soon as I get back.”

The trio headed towards the location of the Flying Boat outside Harmony Hollow. The Tomb of the Demon Emperor was now occupied by the Demon Race and was obviously out of reach; moreover, Westin Flores and the fox demoness had been there before, and since they had both left, it meant that even if there were worthwhile treasures left inside, they wouldn’t be many, nor of significant quality.

While flying back to the camp, Carson didn’t enter the camp but instead contacted Marcellus Foster to meet him outside of it.

Upon seeing Carson, Foster was overjoyed, ”Brother Lin, I’m so relieved that you’re alright! I heard you were kidnapped!”

Carson smiled, ”The eldest disciple rescued me.”

Foster was visibly happy, ”You’re not hurt, right? You’ve encountered two major crises in such a short time but emerged unscathed each time; your luck seems to be very good.”

Carson spoke earnestly, ”I have an important favor to ask of you.”

Foster’s demeanor became serious immediately, ”Brother Lin, just tell me!”

Carson said in a low voice, ”I’d like you to rush back to Kahdas with the greatest speed, take my mother from Mount Kahdas and bring her to Nutwood Heavenly Cave.”

Upon hearing this, Foster’s realization was apparent, and he too lowered his voice, ”Are you worried about Bryant James retaliating against your aunt?”

Carson nodded and went with the flow, ”Exactly, if he could arrange an ambush for me in secret, what wouldn’t he do?”

Foster agreed without hesitation, ”Alright, I’ll hurry back to Mount Kahdas right away and handle this matter with the utmost reliability.”

Carson handed a Jade Slip containing recorded information to Foster, ”Give this information to my mother, and she will go with you.”

Carson wasn’t worried that his mother would refuse to leave. Previously, she hadn’t wanted to go because she felt that was the only place with traces of his father’s existence, but now that his father was still alive, there was no need for her to cling to those mementos.

Moreover, as Carson explained in the Jade Slip, if she remained at Mount Kahdas, others might use her to threaten his father or himself in the future. As a wife and mother, she would undoubtedly choose to leave Mount Kahdas without hesitation under such circumstances.

Foster took the Jade Slip and then took out a Space Ring, ”Brother Lin, I’ve sold all of the Spiritual Spring you gave me, totaling two hundred thirty-five portions for one hundred and seventeen million five hundred thousand Spirit Stones. I’ve also purchased everything on the list you gave me, spending seventy million, leaving forty-seven million five hundred thousand Spirit Stones, which are all in the Spirit Stone Card inside this Space Ring.”

Carson said with a smile, ”It looks like I’ve made quite a profit from this venture.”

Foster chuckled, ”With all the wealthy Sects from Misrds State here, over a hundred million Spirit Stones is just a small amount for them. It’s just that they’ve spent the money to venture in, and I heard they didn’t gain much. Many even lost their lives to attacks by Demonic Beasts—it really is losing the wife and the soldiers.”

Carson took out a Spirit Stone Card worth ten million Spirit Stones and offered it to Foster, ”You’ve worked hard; take this ten million as a token of thanks.”

However, Foster firmly refused, ”Brother Lin, even with a discount on this deal, I’ve made quite a bit of profit. It’s all thanks to you looking out for me. Plus, you took a stand for me before, which led to lots of trouble. I’m more than happy to be able to help you out. It wouldn’t be right to take money from you and then take your Spirit Stones as well.”

With no other option, Carson took back the Spirit Stone Card, ”Fine then, when you come to Nutwood, I’ll treat you to a drink!”
