The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 813: Chapter 813: When the Imp Meets the King of Hell, It’s All Set

A streak of black light rapidly approached from the horizon and finally transformed into the figure of Adelaide Bautista, who hovered in mid-air.

Adelaide Bautista glanced at Tobias Singleton, who was as still as a quail, and then at the man in green robes with a gentle smile, her eyes filled with confusion, ”Who might you be?”

The man in green robes replied, ”Nutwood Mountain, Benson Bernard.”

Adelaide Bautista’s expression changed, and she bowed respectfully, ”Greetings Elder, I am a third-generation disciple of Kahdas, Adelaide Bautista.”

Benson Bernard gently asked, ”Why did you pursue him, miss?”

Adelaide Bautista hesitated then said, ”Carson Flores is the son of my fellow disciple Westin Flores. I wanted to apprehend Tobias Singleton to understand the true nature of the matter.”

Benson Bernard smiled and said, ”Tobias Singleton is merely the executor, the mastermind is Bryant James, the son of Kahdas. Miss, as a disciple of Kahdas, how do you think this should be handled?”

Adelaide Bautista bowed and said, ”Elder, please decide as you see fit.”

Benson Bernard calmly stated, ”As a disciple of Kahdas, your position is difficult. Your pursuit here shows your care for my younger apprentice brother. This alone is enough. You should not worry about this matter; I will ensure justice for my apprentice!”

Adelaide Bautista sighed in relief and nodded lightly.

Adelaide was naturally furious when Bryant James targeted Carson Flores, but Bryant’s strength was not weaker than hers, being an Innate Taoist Body and a prominent figure in Kahdas. Even if she wanted to seek justice for Carson Flores, she was powerless to do so, especially since she was also a disciple of Kahdas, which made her position rather awkward.

Now that Benson Bernard of Nutwood Mountain, an extraordinarily talented senior brother, had intervened, he could naturally secure justice for Carson Flores, and she need not be troubled.

”Let’s go back.”

At the summit of a desolate mountain, a group of heaven’s chosen ones were discussing animatedly, their glances occasionally shifting toward Carson Flores and Bryant James.

Kenzo Conley of the Taiyi Sect, with a profound gaze and a mocking tone, said, ”This Tobias Singleton has quite the nerve, daring to ambush someone right at the doorstep of Mount Kahdas!”

Ty Baker of Lingxu laughed, ”Carson Flores described it as an ambush. Being new to the Cultivation Realm, he wouldn’t have any enmity with Tobias Singleton, right? Heh heh...”

Ty Baker’s ”heh heh” carried a profound meaning which caused the surrounding people to glance shiftily, their eyes inadvertently falling on the unfazed Bryant James.

Could this matter be related to Bryant James?

Kash Lam whispered, ”Carson Flores just arrived; he couldn’t have offended anyone from Mount Kahdas, right?”

Lainey Dragon chuckled, ”Just watch the drama unfold. It seems there’s a lot we don’t know yet. By the way, did you guys see clearly who chased him out? Who was it?”

Terry of the Demon Sun Sect answered, ”The one in black was Adelaide Bautista of Mount Kahdas, and there was also a man in green robes. It happened too fast, I couldn’t make out who it was, but given the speed, Tobias Singleton probably couldn’t have escaped!”

While they were talking, suddenly someone exclaimed, ”They are back.”

The figure in black, Adelaide Bautista, flew back first, followed by the man in green robes, Benson Bernard, and the docile, compliant Tobias Singleton trailing behind.

”Benson Bernard!”

”Nutwood’s senior brother, One Breath Breaks Four Realms, Benson Bernard!”

”Benson Bernard actually came, heh heh, this should be good.”

”Tobias Singleton is quite strong, but against Benson Bernard, he’s like a small ghost meeting the King of Hell, he’s done for.”

Carson Flores stared at the man in green robes and was suddenly stunned.

Wasn’t this the man in green robes he had encountered in the grand hall of the Flower Moon Sect?

At that time, it seemed like only he and the man in green robes were not deceived, yet Lainey Dragon seemed to have completely overlooked the man in green robes and approached him directly.

Carson Flores’s eyes widened, ”Is he... the senior brother?”

Delaney Hunter answered with a gleeful smile, ”Yes, that’s him, our senior brother Benson Bernard. Today is a bad day for Bryant James, no one can stop it!”

Carson Flores blinked, ”The one leading the team from Mount Kahdas, he must be a very formidable figure then, unstoppable?”

Delaney’s eyes sparkled with excitement, ”Just watch! Remember, you may not believe me, but our senior brother is definitely worthy of your trust. Whatever he says or promises to do, he will surely fulfill!”

Carson Flores’s eyes widened as he observed the admiring expression on Delaney’s face, feeling deeply impressed.

His elder sister tended to be rather lofty; the fact that she admired and revered someone so much and trusted him so implicitly indicated that it was not just because the senior brother was very powerful.

Benson Bernard, leading Tobias Singleton, arrived above the barren mountain and turned to say, ”State the cause and effect in front of everyone.”

Tobias Singleton took a deep breath and loudly said, ”Four months ago, Jordan Harvey, a disciple of Mount Kahdas, contacted me on behalf of Bryant James, asking me to wait outside Mount Kahdas and ambush Carson Flores, claiming that if I murdered Carson Flores, my past debt to Bryant James would be considered settled.”

”I gave Jordan Harvey a Jade Pendant containing my Spiritual Imprint. Once near the target, it could release on him. Then within a certain range, I could sense him. I ambushed Carson Flores along the way and chased him to Jade Peak City, only to see him take refuge there, forcing me to retreat.”

All eyes in the crowd fell on Bryant James, their gazes complex.

Shock, confusion, schadenfreude...

Benson Bernard stared at Bryant James, ”Bryant James, do you have anything to say?”
