The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 847: Chapter 847: Does She Know About Our Affair?

”I went to Heavenly Mountain and sought out Sister Roth. She told me you’d come to the Thunderfire Wasteland and since your return would be a while, I took a chance to see if I could meet you, and also to see what the excitement was about.”

Carson Flores smiled as he glanced around, ”I heard there was a divine item discovered here, but it seems there’s been no movement yet?”

”Sister Roth?”

Jayceon Collins’s eyes showed a flicker of surprise, ”Are you very acquainted with Aunt Roth?”

Aunt Roth?

Carson Flores, in fact, still didn’t know the origins of Isabella Roth; since she hadn’t mentioned it, he naturally didn’t ask, although he planned to ask Samantha Tate later.

Carson Flores candidly replied, ”She went to the Mortal Realm before, and I helped her a bit. She has looked after me well. Previously, when I escorted Samantha Tate to Heavenly Mountain, it was also Sister Roth who helped look after her.”

Jayceon Collins asked, ”Oh really? Then you’re quite impressive. By the way, Junior Brother Lin, where are you from?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Nutwood Mountain. I’ve been in the Barbarian Wilderness for over a year now, and only today did I have the chance to visit her.”

Nutwood Mountain?

Jayceon Collins mentally skimmed through a few names like the Thousand Swords Sect and the Heavenly Constellations Sect, sneering internally; it seemed rather ordinary indeed.

A genius of the Mortal Realm, yet unknown in the Barbarian Wilderness: wasn’t that quite normal?

Considering everyone to be like Samantha Tate.

All of a sudden, Jayceon Collins felt resentment towards Carson Flores; if you hadn’t brought Samantha Tate to Heavenly Mountain, even if she had gone elsewhere and became another sect’s disciple, that would have been fine. Yet, you had to bring her to Heavenly Mountain, causing my status to plummet, creating an awkward identity crisis for me.

All because of you!

Jayceon Collins had never imagined Carson Flores becoming a direct disciple of Master Campbell. Master Campbell had only three disciples, each extraordinary in their own right; how could Carson possibly be accepted as a disciple by the discerning Master Campbell?

With this mindset, Jayceon Collins didn’t even bother to ask which sect Carson had joined; of the four sects in Nutwood Mountain, what difference did it make anyway?

To compare with Heavenly Mountain?

Whether you are a regular disciple or an Inner Sect Disciple, do you compare to me?

”Then let’s go down. The junior brothers are waiting,” said Jayceon.

”Alright!”

The three of them flew down the mountain together, while others in the group curiously eyed Carson Flores, their gazes filled with envy.

Is this the man Samantha Tate has been thinking about constantly?

He must be impressive!

Or rather, he is extremely lucky!

In the past, Samantha Tate might have been just an ordinary person, not comparable to him, but now, her future is indeterminable, and she is destined to become a mighty sovereign.

If the circumstances were different and Carson Flores and Samantha Tate were to meet now, surely Samantha Tate would not consider him at all.

Carson Flores scanned the group: eight people, both men and women, with an elderly man sitting a little distance away, sharply scrutinizing Carson.

This must be the Divinity Transformation Stage expert guarding Samantha Tate.

He really values Samantha Tate highly.

But this gaze fixed on me, why does it feel so full of caution?

Is he afraid I’ll run off with Samantha Tate?

”I killed this Ironback Gorilla!”

Samantha Tate spoke proudly in a low voice to Carson Flores, her beautiful eyes intently staring at him, awaiting his praise.

Carson Flores smiled, ”Impressive, impressive! It’s been two years, and you’ve become so capable!”

Samantha Tate, praised by Carson Flores, was visibly delighted, the corners of her eyes and mouth curving joyfully: ”Before, it was always you protecting me, and I could only watch from the side, unable even to offer help, sometimes even being a burden to you. Now I’m gradually becoming more powerful, and I will get even stronger, so I can fight alongside you without holding you back.”

Carson Flores took Samantha Tate’s hand, ”I’ve never said you were holding me back, don’t overthink it.”

Samantha Tate pouted, ”You gave up your chance for Heavenly Mountain for me. Heavenly Mountain is among the ten greatest sacred lands...”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”What suits one best is always the best. I think I’m doing quite well now; so, looking back, it all seems to be the plan of the heavens.”

Samantha Tate didn’t ask how Carson was doing now, not that she didn’t want to; she was worried that he wasn’t doing well, and asking about it in front of others would make Carson embarrassed.

”Brother, have you seen my sister lately?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”I have.”

Samantha Tate immediately became excited and anxious: ”How is she, is she still in the Mortal Realm?”

Carson Flores chuckled lightly, ”She is in Rajevols.”

Samantha Tate’s eyes suddenly widened, ”The Barbarian Wilderness?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Yes, and she has directly inherited the powers of your ancestress, the Fairy Lingbo. When she returned two years ago, her powers were already comparable to yours now, and I think she might be even more formidable now. Furthermore, she was taken as a disciple by an elder and is a core Inner Sect Disciple, so she holds a respectable position. Don’t worry; you’ll meet again someday.”

Samantha Tate was overjoyed yet immediately grew tense again, ”Our matter... does she know about it?”
