Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 579: Chapter 553: Breaking Character and Guidance

”The last type can be excluded, adults with a child’s mentality, meaning the child inside hasn’t grown up. These people might also have pre-marital anxiety.”

”Absolutely impossible, she’s very strong and mature, like the umbrella of the whole family.”

Qian’s sense of responsibility, if she were second, no one would dare to claim first. Yu Minglang doesn’t think she’s the last type.

”Her?” Ha ha, slipped up, huh!

”I, I mean I’m very strong. Mrs. Liu, look at my mature expression.”

Yu Minglang put on a very serious face, Mr. Liu looked at him expressionlessly for two seconds, then silently stood up and went to another room to close the door, after which muffled laughter came from inside.

This is probably the funniest thing that happened during this period. Mr. Liu almost thought Yu Minglang came over to perform a one-man comedy show, this clown!

Yu Minglang twitched his mouth, what on earth did he do, is Mrs. Liu really like this?

Mr. Liu finally laughed enough and came out, speaking seriously to Yu Minglang.

”Treating pre-marital anxiety is actually quite simple. We give the consultees a set of questions to determine what level of pre-marital anxiety they have. But I think she must have memorized those questions well, they can’t stump her—”

”It’s me!” Yu Minglang seriously corrected.

Mr. Liu felt he was now conditioned to laugh when he saw Yu Laomao looking so serious.

”Alright, I know those questions won’t stump ’you,’ so could you tell me your recent situation in detail?”

”Recently, I’ve been having nightmares, but there’s no abnormal behavior usually, work and study are unaffected though I don’t really like talking about marriage. I think you should really change my dear Mei’s job.”

”Isn’t ’you’ sick? Why do you want my student to quit her job?” Mr. Liu frowned thoughtfully when he heard about the nightmares.

Is Qian’s situation that serious? Looking at her usually, she doesn’t seem affected, the papers and reports she submits have no problems, and Mr. Liu listens to her program regularly, her standard is very high.

”Just because my current situation is bad, I want her to spend more time with me. The job you arranged is too trashy, listening to people with petty minds complaining every day, can she get better in such an environment?”

”Oh, I finally understand, you deliberately didn’t go to any other consultant and came to me instead, because your real purpose is this, right?”

Mr. Liu finally understood. Yu Minglang is really funny; he just went through all this, executing a plan with two objectives and one solution, simple, direct, and effective!

Yu Minglang must not trust others’ abilities, unwilling to divulge his cherished concerns to others, thus crossing a risky line by approaching Mr. Liu, not only could he find the most authoritative solution, but also tried to convey his wish for Qian’s job change to Mr. Liu.

”I don’t really want her doing such work.”

Yu Minglang believes Qian’s current mood must be related to her handling these issues daily.

”I just don’t understand, those who call in don’t actually have psychological problems, it’s all just temporary setbacks, if you truly want to train her, why not let her go to a more professionally aligned place.”

Thinking of his cherished darling being used as a sounding board, forced to listen to these things every day, Yu Minglang felt heartsick.

”In a professional setting, she’d face more complex issues than now. Yu Laomao, do you know, in my many years of practice I’ve never seen such a talented child, placed here I—”

”You practically torture them, which I already know, you torment those you favor, look at how you pamper our captain, even skin and bones now.”

Mr. Liu was annoyed, ”You brat, stop fooling around with me! Is it my fault that old man got skinny? I even told him not to show off with younger people but he didn’t listen, ended up straining his muscles, can’t even eat properly, does this blame me?”

”Huh? Did he strain his muscles? Why didn’t he tell us?”

”That old man values face too much, how could he admit impulsively competing with you all, ended up straining, hurting and grimacing, can’t sleep, and even less, eat.”

After the captain remarried Mr. Liu, their relationship improved significantly, often phoning each other, and Mr. Liu would even visit him when he had no classes.

”Then why aren’t you taking care of him? He didn’t tell us about this affair.”

”I’m busy and he’s almost retired—” Mr. Liu nearly let slip, thinking it’s still a secret, diverted the topic.

”I see Qian’s feelings towards your captain are similar to how he sees you, talents are always precious, afraid I might ruin her.”

”Ha ha...” What’s the difference now, can’t even dare marry.

”You brat, what’s with your ’ha ha’! Let me tell you, pre-marital anxiety isn’t very problematic, use the right method and it can be overcome quickly, but her path remains long, for Qian the difficulty isn’t the textbook stuff, arranging her there is to help her overcome her inner demons.”

”Are you sure?” Yu Minglang sneered, thinking those demons were coaxed by this old lady.”

”I’ve interacted with Qian for so long, she seems to have been hurt, even though she hides it well, that wound is too deep, and she’s unwilling to let anyone find out. Concealing it isn’t helpful for her, it’s better to gently squeeze out the blood from her inner wound, making it easier to heal. If you dare doubt my professionalism again, I’ll have the captain not let you—” Mr. Liu’s words abruptly ended.

”Not let me what?” Yu Minglang curiously asked.

Mr. Liu revealed a ’not telling you’ expression, extremely smug.

Bah, this mysterious old woman, Yu Minglang isn’t afraid of her, he’s the captain’s most trusted hand, can the captain be swayed by her whispers to oppress him?

”Now I’ll tell you the treatment plan, actually, it’s not really treatment, since her so-called psychological issues are hardly severe at all, let’s call the subsequent plan guidance, first when you return do this...”

True psychological problems are far more severe than pre-marital anxiety, symptoms that distressed Yu Minglang, in Mr. Liu’s view, are actually minor issues.

After hearing Mr. Liu’s words, Yu Minglang questioned, ”Is it that simple?”

”It’s that simple, young man, after getting married and living a happy little life, don’t forget to thank me well. If it weren’t for me placing her in this position, magnifying her inner reactions, once married reactions would be far more complex than now.”

The principle is akin to the difference between chronic and acute conditions, acute attacks though severe are generally easier to control, chronic becomes hard to eradicate.
