Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 361: Chapter 335: Enough Experience

Qian isn’t exaggerating – her first-year situation is pretty good. She’s taller than most girls, enrolled in a prestigious university’s top program with no worries about finding a job after graduation, and on top of that, she’s attractive.

Attractive women always have more choices.

”No... I never want to like any man again. I can just live on my own. I’ll work hard to make money. Mr. Yu, he threw money at me, boo hoo hoo!”

To be able to make an introverted and composed girl talk incoherently, Qian really has to admire Mr. Yu’s skill.

Alright, he’s got some tricks up his sleeve.

”People who experience breakups always say they will never love again. But when they meet the right person, they get excited and plunge into it, completely forgetting their former look of seeing through worldly matters.”

”I’m serious, I’m feeling really sad...”

”Feeling sad is a good thing. Experiencing the sour, sweet, bitter, and spicy flavors of youth is essential. I should take a photo of your sad face, so when you fall in love again, I can show you – these are precious memories.”

”Mr. Yu, are you still my friend? I’m like this, and you’re not even consoling me!”

”What should I console you about? When a girl reaches a certain age, she will meet someone she likes. She’ll feel moved for him, she’ll feel sad for him, she’ll feel angry for him. These are all good experiences. First-year, do you regret liking him?”

”...”

Although Yu Mingyi’s final words were harsh, Dong Yi thought about the memories of cooking for him and comforting his child, shaking her head with tears.

”No regrets!”

”Look at my disciple – she still has some realization. Right? Wasn’t the process good, even if the ending didn’t go the way we wanted? Didn’t we enjoy the process? When you look back after getting old, at least you can say you liked a particularly outstanding older man in your youth, did some foolish things, shed some tears. You can tell your grandson, it’s all memories.”

Dong Yi shook her head, ”There won’t be any grandsons, nor any sons. There’s nothing left.”

In Dong Yi’s heart, after Yu Mingyi, there are no good men left.

”Every heartbroken person says that. When I broke up with Xiaoqiang, I thought the same way. But now, we’re almost engaged.”

Everyone says things in frustration, but after a while, it really seems childish.

”At least you dated. I didn’t even confess and got rejected already.”

Dong Yi felt like she encountered the most tragic event in her life.

Qian found her current cries and outbursts quite amusing.

For a character like Dong Yi, to be able to speak out her sadness and grievances means she trusts Qian and that Qian’s previous psychological treatment worked quite well.

If she keeps bottling it up, saying nothing, that’s when it’s dangerous – it’s easy to develop psychological problems again.

”Cry then. As a complete person, you have the right to express your joys, angers, sorrows, and happiness in any way. I’m willing to share with you; you can talk about all your feelings towards him as much as you want.”

Qian guided her to vent her emotions.

”Mr. Yu, is there really no chance between us?”

When a girl likes a man, she becomes bold and proactive. In the past, Dong Yi would never say such things, no matter what.

”How should I put it? Do you want me to speak from a doctor’s perspective or a friend’s perspective?”

”I want to hear both.”

”The truth is, whether you end up together or not doesn’t really matter. Because right now, whatever I say, you won’t listen. Girls are most blind at this time, especially when they’re infatuated with someone. Any advice I give will be met with a thousand internal rebuttals. But the real fact is simple: you like him.”

”Boo hoo...”

So sad, he doesn’t like her!

”But if you want me to see this issue from the perspective of someone who’s been through it, whether you end up together or not, what difference does it make? You are still you; no one else can live your life for you. Your issues with him can’t be explained with a few comforting words. Anyway, just move forward, and you’ll be fine.”

Dong Yi listened, feeling confused – Mr. Yu’s words were so ambiguous. Can they be together or not?

”Relationships are phase-oriented things. Going through sour, sweet, bitter, and spicy experiences is a complete life. You can cry if you want to cry, laugh if you want to laugh, do whatever you want. But once you’ve done it, you still have to live your own life. Even if one day you fall in love with someone else, or one day you get to be with him, the outcome is the same – you still need your own life.”

So, as a friend, during such a necessary stage of life in the first year, just giving a warm embrace, companionship, and shelter is more than enough.

Birth, old age, sickness, and death, just like love’s breakups, are irreversibly inevitable. If you avoid loving for fear of any painful aspect, life may lack drama, but it won’t be joyful either.

Yu Minglang indeed changed some of Qian’s perceptions. Watching Dong Yi, who cried now and then unwillingly, Qian suddenly understood the meaning behind Yu Minglang’s words.

Being a smart robot sometimes isn’t as good as being a foolish little idiot. Experiencing love, hate, passion, and anger rounds out life.

Qian stayed with Dong Yi, crying until midnight, and at last, the two girls snuggled together and fell asleep.

Besides love, friendship is an inseparable part of life. Missing any link doesn’t make life complete.

Dong Yi is not even 20 years old – this process is bound to happen sooner or later. The fortunate part is that she has a psychologist friend accompanying her in her growth.

After a night of talking with Qian, Dong Yi slept deeply, dreaming of the serpent with gentle eyes that always looked at her.

This time the serpent wanted to turn into a dragon, and Dong Yi rushed over, hugged its head, and rode atop it, pounding away furiously. After the beating, the serpent almost pleaded, ”Come ride me, ride me!”

Then Dong Yi initially planned to climb up, but Qian’s voice suddenly appeared out of nowhere, saying, ”You want to hurt it, just hurt it. You want to reconcile, then reconcile – dreamy you!”

So Dong Yi turned and walked away, while the dragon cried out behind her. She happily rested her hands on her hips and laughed at the sky.

Yes, it deserved it – it has eyes just like Mr. Yu’s, it deserved it!

Qian couldn’t sleep, watching Dong Yi laugh in her sleep.

It seems her emotional venting was quite effective – Dong Yi’s emotions seemed to have come out a bit.

She sent a text to Yu Minglang, who is also responsible for guiding her – or perhaps one could call Xiaoqiang’s behavior continuing to agitate an open wound.

When Qian sent the text, it was already two in the morning. She couldn’t sleep, so she texted Yu Minglang to see if he was asleep.

Yu Minglang had just finished his meeting.

Mr. Yu said a few words at first, but then he was silent, drinking quietly.

A man with such a good tolerance to alcohol even ended up vomiting from drinking beer, finally collapsing on the bed unable to move.
