Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Unworthy of Being Human

Xiao Miqiu reached out to help Dong Yi, who was very attentive to the girl. Since his roommates didn’t look at him like he was different and even shared meals with him, in his heart, they were all friends.

Dong Yi smiled at him, ”Thank you, I didn’t even see it.”

From the back, the interaction between the two looked like a couple embracing.

”Dong Yi, you scoundrel!” A figure suddenly darted from the side, aiming a slap at Dong Yi’s face.

Xiao Miqiu reflexively pulled her behind him and kicked out.

Despite having a woman’s body, he was a black belt in Taekwondo and easily kicked the attacker back two steps.

”Who are you, daring to bully a girl in front of me? Had enough of living?” Xiao Miqiu raised an eyebrow, looking at the migrant worker who suddenly appeared.

The one who went after Dong Yi was dressed like a migrant worker, looking filthy, with unwashed hair for days.

After being kicked by Xiao Miqiu, he reluctantly stepped back a few paces, pointing at Dong Yi and cursing, ”You unfaithful woman! What ’focusing solely on your studies and not on marriage,’ you have someone else at school!”

This person was the one almost engaged to Dong Yi by her uncle, saying he had already taken the other party’s money. Dong Yi used money from Yu Mingyi and other benefactors to repay her uncle, thinking she had bought her freedom, but now it had turned into this mess.

This person seemed to have drunk a bit, reeking of alcohol, pointing drunkenly at Dong Yi.

”It was all decided by Uncle, we have no relation now. He is my friend, not the relationship you think.”

”You little tramp, you just fancy a pretty boy!” The drunkard was completely irrational, just wanting to use alcohol as an excuse to cause trouble.

Dong Yi had good conditions, tall and beautiful, also a university student. According to village customs, once parents of both parties agreed, the matter was settled. Being an orphan, he thought the easy catch wouldn’t escape.

But suddenly hearing that Dong Yi backed out of the marriage, his anger surged, driving him to school, using drunkenness as a cover to act crazy.

”I did not!” Dong Yi was so agitated she couldn’t speak properly.

”Pretty lady, there’s no reasoning with a drunk like this, watch me.” Xiao Miqiu pushed Dong Yi back two steps, rolled up his sleeves, and kicked again.

The drunkard wanted to retaliate but was no match for Xiao Miqiu, who beat him into wailing, still cursing Dong Yi between yelps.

”A creature like you doesn’t deserve to be called a man! Was a man’s body given to you by the heavens so you could bully women? To drink a little and forget who you are, running over to harass women?”

Seeing such scum made Xiao Miqiu furious beyond measure, making him fight even harder. He longed to be a real man, but fate had played such a trick on him, giving a man’s body to these cowards who bullied women. Beat him!

Qian and Shi Yu, having just finished shopping, happened to witness this scene.

Seeing more people around Dong Yi, the drunkard didn’t dare linger. Unable to beat Xiao Miqiu, he stood up, ran a few meters away, and pointed at Dong Yi yelling.

”You cursed woman, just you wait, I won’t let you off!”

”Damn! Still daring to yap, I’ll beat him!” Xiao Miqiu wanted to chase after him, but Dong Yi held him back.

”Let it go.”

In front of her roommates, this was truly embarrassing. Dong Yi felt a bit put off by the drunkard, didn’t know how to handle it, and in the midst of feeling distressed, when she looked up, saw Yu Mingyi getting out of the car.

Not knowing how much he had seen.

It felt like the most disgraceful aspect she least wanted exposed had been shown today to her roommate and the respected uncle.

Dong Yi turned and quickly walked towards the school.

Qian also saw Yu Mingyi coming over, carrying something, so she signaled Xiao Miqiu and Shi Touyu to go back with Dong Yi, and she approached Yu Mingyi.

”Second Brother, how come you’re here?”

”Couldn’t get through to your dorm, was going to ask Mr Liu to pass this along, but I happened to run into you.” Yu Mingyi handed the box to Qian.

”What’s this?”

”My mother cooked some medicinal food, and also some side dishes she just made this afternoon. One share for you, one for Dong Yi.”

Mrs. Yu was taking her little grandson back to Q City, would come over again next week. Yu Laomao had long mentioned that his dear Qian’s cafeteria food tasted like pig slop, making his treasure lose weight, so since Mrs. Yu came over every week, she would conveniently improve Qian’s meals.

Mr. Yu saw his mother cooking, thought that since Dong Yi shared a dorm with Qian, asked her to prepare an additional share.

”Thank Auntie for me.” Qian had meant to be polite, but the aroma wafted through the box, so she accepted it eagerly since the cafeteria food was making her nauseous.

Whether a man cares for you depends on his actions. Even though Yu Minglang was outside and couldn’t come in conveniently, he would mobilize everyone around him. Just didn’t know if this would make the Yu Family have opinions about her, Qian mused she should think of ways to improve her relationship with Mrs. Yu, showing gratitude for what she received.

”That person just now, why was he harassing Dong Yi.” Yu Mingyi had seen, but by the time he parked and got out, Xiao Miqiu had already finished the fight.

Qian contemplated, although this was Dong Yi’s private matter, the migrant worker’s harsh words before leaving made Qian wary. After considering, she explained the situation briefly to Yu Mingyi.

”... After Dong Yi annulled the engagement, that man was unwilling, came back to make trouble. Luckily, our friends were there to help resolve it.”

”What, this happened?” Yu Mingyi furrowed his thick brows together.

Dong Yi was so young, just entered university, it was a prime time for studying, how could she be pressured to marry?

”Yes, Second Bro, if you can, keep an eye on that man. If he keeps harassing Dong Yi like this, it wouldn’t be good for her. She’s still a student.”

”I understand.” Second Brother nodded, then felt something amiss.

”The young man who fought for Dong Yi, is he Dong Yi’s boyfriend?”

”Uh... well...” Qian didn’t know how to explain Xiao Miqiu’s situation, it was too complicated.

Her hesitance confirmed it for Yu Mingyi, believing the young girl from back then had grown up and started dating.

Time passes quickly, could it be he really was getting old.

Qian returned to the dormitory, Xiao Miqiu had already left, Dong Yi sat on the bed, silently fuming. Shi Touyu fiddled with the drawing board, glancing at Dong Yi, wanting to speak but holding back for fear of hurting her friend.

”Dong Yi, come down and split the food.”

Qian placed the box on the floor, immediately capturing food-loving Shi Yu’s attention, who followed the scent over.

”Qian, what’s this?”

”It’s what my Xiaoqiang’s mother made for us to eat. Dong Yi, your uncle said there’s a share for you, come down and get it.”

”Where can you find such a great mother-in-law, it’s enviable. Those apples she gave before, I haven’t finished eating, they’re so sweet...” Shi Touyu also got a taste.
