Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 191: Chapter 191: Two Serious Matters

”Benefactor? Whose kid is this? Can I tutor them?” Dong Yi asked, puzzled.

”It’s your little uncle’s child. No need for tutoring, just playtime,” the teacher had roped her in, so she brought Dong Yi in. Dong Yi, being a psychology major and having been mentored by Qian, could do a great job once taught the method.

”No problem.”

Hearing that it’s her little uncle’s matter, Dong Yi was willing to watch the kid, even if it meant going through fire for him.

”Isn’t this the legendary ’repaying debt with flesh’?” Shi Yu commented precisely after watching the scene.

Dong Yi gave her a serious look, ”Don’t insult my little uncle, I’m doing this willingly.”

She wanted to express that helping her little uncle with the child wasn’t about repaying a debt, she was volunteering, but how Shi Touyu took it was even more lewd.

”Oh, willingly...”

Chen Xiaoqian slapped her on the head, ”Shi Touyu, stop thinking about unhealthy stuff all the time, find something productive to do!”

”There are two serious matters, which one do you want to hear?”

”What serious matters could you have? Spit it out.” Xiaoqian felt relieved after passing the buck to Dong Yi.

”Serious matter one, our club wants to produce a super awesome stage play. For the female lead in the play, guess who we’ve got our eyes on?”

”What decent person could your lousy club have its eyes on.” Xiaoqian had been dragged to watch by Shi Touyu and felt her teeth ache within five minutes. Who writes those cheesy lines?

”Haha, this time, you absolutely can’t find any fault. We unanimously passed it, and that person is—Qian!”

Xiaoqian was petrified.

Even Dong Yi was shocked.

”Who?”

”You, Qian, we unanimously passed it. We believe this role can only be taken on by you, and it’s an honor that the female lead is given to someone outside our club. It’s a highlight in our club’s history!”

Xiaoqian was so shocked she couldn’t speak for a few seconds after the thunderous news sank in.

”Shi Touyu, how many bribes did you give your president for him to make such a foolish decision?”

”No bribes! You’re looking down on us too much. The president begged me for it and gave me several bags of Oreos—”

”You’d sell out a roommate for a few bags of Oreos? Dong Yi, lend a hand, let’s carry her out, this rotten meat we don’t want anymore; whoever wants her can pick her up.”

”No! Qian! I really wasn’t selling you out for Oreos. I also think only you can handle this role!”

”What kind of role? A junk-picking old lady, or a soda-selling auntie? Or maybe a mute tree?” Xiaoqian felt they must be coming up with garbage roles in their trashy club.

Shi Yu grinned widely, ”This is an excellent role, written with painstaking effort by our president. It’s very fitting for your temperament, and the props were collectively funded. The costume is exquisite, the best our club has.”

”Oh, and what is it?” Even Dong Yi was curious.

”A female vampire—ah, Qian, don’t kick me!” Shi Yu clung tightly to the door to prevent Xiaoqian from kicking her out, pleading pitifully.

”I already promised the president, I’ll surely get you.” Qian’s freshman shout out during the school opening was so memorable, everyone felt having Qian guaranteed a full house.

”You eat those Oreos and give them back to him the same way. Whoever wants to play, let them. I’m not playing house with you!”

Wearing silly costumes and reciting cringey lines—vampire, such a painful role!

It’d be strange if Qian agreed to any of this nonsense.

”You will agree. When seeking help, how can I act without some assurance? Hmph, Qian, you can’t escape.” Shi Touyu’s eyes gleamed with cunning as she chuckled inwardly.

She had a trump card ready!

Xiaoqian couldn’t be bothered to engage her, ”Tell me, what’s the second matter?”

”Our last roommate is about to make an appearance!”

”Oh?” The upper bunk of Xiaoqian had been unoccupied for so long since the school opened, and she thought it would remain empty.

”I have the inside scoop. Our roommate will move in by next Monday at the latest. Qian, consider the lead role for how well-informed I am—Qian!”

Shi Touyu chased after Xiaoqian, as Qian was the hottest choice. Xiaoqian slammed the bathroom door in front of her.

”Dream on, no way!” She wouldn’t go on stage to perform something so childish.

”No way? Then a window will do. Hmph, am I Shi Family’s Xiaoyu the kind to fight an unprepared battle?”

Shi Touyu pulled out her phone and found an empty corner.

”Hello, is this my dearest adored brother? Yes, is the ’thing’ you prepared all set? Good, deliver it to me on Monday. No problem.”

Hmph, I don’t believe this will fail to lure Qian!

On Saturday, following the appointment with Mr. Liu, Xiaoqian brought Dong Yi along.

”What’s going on?” Mr. Liu’s face immediately turned grim upon seeing Xiaoqian bring someone along.

Xiaoqian pulled Mr. Liu aside, lowered her voice, and explained.

”Professor, it’s like this, this is my roommate. She’s the sleepwalker I just treated, and for this treatment, I’d like her to join—”

”What do you think this is, bringing just anyone? Chen Xiaoqian, don’t mistakenly think that because your granny backs you up, you can become complacent!”

Mr. Liu was a very temperamental old lady, ready to show a stern face at any moment.

”Professor, here’s my consideration: this is called bilateral treatment.”

”Bilateral?”

”Yes, Dong Yi is cured by me. Though sleepwalking won’t occur again, her mental scars remain. You’re an authority and should be more aware than me; finding something that satisfies her gratitude-psychology would not only benefit her condition but also be great for the kid. She’s also in psychology, so it’d be mutually beneficial.”

Hearing this, Mr. Liu pondered a bit, ”The reasoning is valid, but she’s still an inexperienced student, which may pose operational challenges.”

”Rest assured, Professor. For the first few treatments, I’ll be with her and guide her whenever needed.”

Liu Linlin was amused by her boldness.

”You’re still a student, but your tone is pretty big.”

”For a fresh breath, use Green Arrow!”

Mr. Liu knocked her head gently, ”You’re such a jabberer! Just remember, this child belongs to the Yu Family. If things go awry, deal with your granny and don’t bring it back to me!”

”She’s a prospective mother-in-law...” Xiaoqian corrected for the nth time.

Yu Mingyi rented a small one-bedroom apartment near his workplace specifically to have the chance to accompany his son for treatment. Holding Panpan in his arms, he was slightly surprised to see Mr. Liu accompanied by Xiaoqian and Dong Yi.

”Xiaoqian, isn’t Dong Yi’s illness cured yet? Is there anything I can do to assist?”
