The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 36: Chapter 36 Shaolin Temple Disciple Tao Bin

Tao Shen tried to convince his parents time and time again that Tao Yinyin was not his sister, urging them to take a DNA test, but not one of them believed him—they all thought he had gone mad.

After an examination, the doctor confirmed that Tao Shen had only sustained physical injuries.

Only then did Tao Tiancheng start to take seriously the things his son was talking about.

“Dad, please believe me, haven’t you ever had your doubts? Yinyin doesn’t resemble you, nor does she resemble Mom!”

Liu Mingzhu couldn’t listen any longer and scolded angrily, “Stop being crazy! Your sister is still young, she hasn’t developed yet, wait till she’s grown and she’ll resemble us!”

Tao Shen let out a bitter laugh.

...

In his last life, Tao Yinyin had resembled their dad and mom, which was why no one later had any suspicions.

Tao Yinyin had suggested herself to attend a boarding school in junior high, and there was a long period of time when she did not return home, always saying she could not keep up with her studies and wouldn’t come back.

When they met again, Tao Yinyin’s face didn’t seem to have changed much, but there were changes, as if she had matured.

Everyone hadn’t put much thought into it, but later Tao Shen’s investigation revealed that Tao Yinyin had undergone reconstructive surgery, though it was a subtle adjustment, it was done based on Liu Mingzhu’s photos.

So much so that later on, as Tao Yinyin grew up, relatives and friends who saw the two of them would say the mother and daughter were carved from the same mold.

She had reconstructed her face to resemble Liu Mingzhu, how could she not look alike!

Thinking back, during that time Tao Yinyin must have already known she was not the Tao Family’s biological daughter and had begun scheming everything with a purpose.

“Dad, Mom doesn’t believe me because she loves Yinyin too much. I believe that you can calm down and listen to me carefully.”

Liu Mingzhu was about to explode with anger, but Tao Tiancheng stopped her, shaking his head to signal her to be quiet.

“Go on,” said Tao Tiancheng.

Tao Shen took a deep breath and began a very long story, “Maybe you might think this is all a dream I had, but please try it—just use one of Yinyin’s hairs to do a paternity test!”

“This is indeed your dream! Have you lost your mind from the impact!” Liu Mingzhu huffed coldly.

Tao Tiancheng met his son’s pleading gaze, hesitated for a long time, unable to make a decision.

Tao Bin, who had already been lingering at the door for a long time, walked in and said, “What brother is saying might not necessarily be a dream. Dad, Mom, give it a try, it will also put brother’s mind at ease.”

“You actually believe him!” Liu Mingzhu glared at her younger son, “You think Yinyin is not your sister too? You also think that violent girl being talked about all over the internet is your sister?”

“She’s not a violent girl; she’s just a bit stronger than most, but she has never harmed anyone!” Tao Shen retorted angrily.

Seeing that mother and son were about to start arguing, Tao Tiancheng stood up and shouted, “All of you, quiet down!”

Tao Tiancheng still commanded great respect at home, and when he raised his voice, immediately everyone fell silent.

Tao Tiancheng looked toward his younger son and asked, “Why have you come back?”

As a child, Tao Bin was weak and often ill, so Tao Tiancheng had sent him to the Shaolin Temple. At five years old, he became a lay disciple there to learn martial arts and strengthen his body, having many senior and junior disciples. He normally only came home for the holidays.

“Master has taken in a new disciple, it’s just that he’s fallen ill, and now he’s staying in this hospital. Master asked me to bring a peace charm to see him, and if he recovers, I’m to personally escort the little disciple back to the temple.” Tao Bin scratched his head, “Speaking of which, it’s quite a coincidence, he’s staying in the next ward. I came to take a look because I heard noises here, not expecting it to be you all.”

Tao Shen suddenly asked, “Is your little disciple by any chance called Hua Jinyan?”

Tao Bin looked astonished, “Brother, you know him?”

Without answering, Tao Shen spoke deliberately, “He’s seven years old this year, has been weak and sickly since childhood, and he can see ghosts and spirits that others can’t. He can only stay safe inside the temple until he turns eighteen! His father is a well-known director, and his mother is the businesswoman Gu Lanxin!”
