The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Spreading Rumors is Easy

Yang Yu found out that one of the child stars had recorded the incident in the makeup room with a smartwatch, secretly gave him some money, and had him edit the content before posting it online.

Although this matter had already been settled at the police station, and Cheng Guodong had paid a lot of money in compensation, once the video was uploaded to the internet, everyone accused Tao Ti.

The video was an edited one, starting with Tao Ti hitting Yang Yu with the broken handle of a chair, followed by Yang Yu crying in pain, and Tao Ti standing there in a daze.

Even though the video was disjointed, someone in the know leaked details in the comments, saying that Tao Ti had brought her own funding to join the production, and as a result, everyone in the crew treated her like a Little Princess, and the other children were merely her foils.

Because Yang Yu also had a ribbon dance planned, it led to Tao Ti’s dissatisfaction, resulting in a backstage dispute where Tao Ti forcefully demanded that Yang Yu change her dance. Yang Yu, knowing no other dances besides ribbon dance, didn’t agree, which angered Tao Ti.

Tao Ti ate a lot and was strong; she could easily pull up radishes that even film stars couldn’t budge. This led the audience to perceive Tao Ti as a child that might resort to physical force.

...

In addition, the source also revealed that at the police station, Tao Ti’s current manager showed up with three “gold medal” lawyers, exerting an overwhelming presence and even verbally threatening Yang Yu’s mother, warning that if Yang Yu still wanted to work in this industry, they should settle the matter privately.

Yang Yu’s mother was a single mom, without money or influence, and didn’t dare to fight back, even if her daughter might be disfigured, she couldn’t refuse and had to choose to settle.

[Really didn’t expect Tao Ti to be this kind of person!]

[As expected, all that looks innocent is a facade!]

[Yang Yu had been driven out of a production by an investor’s daughter before, I heard it was during a heavy snow day, after being chased out, they couldn’t even get a taxi, plus the filming location was very remote, it’s scary just to think about that scene!]

[Didn’t think that after all this time, she’d be bullied by an investor’s goddaughter again! This time it’s even worse, she got disfigured!]

[Why is it that others don’t get driven out? Why don’t others get disfigured?]

[To the person above, your comment is wrong! It’s just like what those despicable teachers say, ‘Why don’t they bully other students and just bully you? There must be something wrong with you!’ Victim blaming!]

[Do these discussions even matter? Right now, I just want to know how Yang Yu is. In the video, her face seems to have been cut!]

[I heard she got disfigured, it’s severe, needed six stitches.]

[Six stitches? Can we believe what you’re saying above?]

[The person above the person above, disappeared? Can we believe what you’re saying?]

Although the commenter who mentioned Yang Yu needing six stitches did not come forward to speak again, the news of Yang Yu’s disfigurement had already spread.

People always sympathize with the weaker party, so public opinion leaned toward Yang Yu, began accusing Tao Ti, cursing her…

Cheng Guodong was furious, yelling at the three public relations managers, “Since when did you three become ‘gold medal’ lawyers? When did I ever use my power to intimidate? When did I ever scare her and her mother, bully a widow and orphan?”

Public Relations Manager 1 wiped off the spit that Cheng Guodong had sprayed on his face, calmly saying, “Starting a rumor is as simple as opening your mouth, but refuting it takes running your legs off. Now we can only try to clear things up.”

Public Relations Manager 2 sighed, “I wish the rumors were true, that I am a ‘gold medal’ lawyer. Actually, I took the judicial exam behind the scenes, unfortunately, I didn’t pass.”

Public Relations Manager 3 said, “Coincidentally, I didn’t pass either.”

Public Relations Manager 2 suggested, “Let’s post a screenshot of our failed scores from the exam on the internet.”

Public Relations Manager 3 decisively refused, “That’s embarrassing, no way.”

Cheng Guodong glared menacingly at Public Relations Manager 3, “Raise your salary!”

Public Relations Manager 3 instantly changed his tune, “Okay, I’ll post it right now.”

While Cheng Guodong was trying every way to clear the air here, on the other end, someone had gone into the mountains and found Zhang Cuilian and her husband.

That same evening, a piece of news spread across the entire network.

Tao Ti’s parents are going live at ten o’clock tonight, are they going to confirm Tao Ti’s scandals?
